Hey,
I got a i9500 and i have a problem with the home button.
Sometimes when i push the home button it opens the multitasking windows although i didnt do a long push. It happes sometime and it really annoys me.
If someone knows how to solve it please tell me.
Thanks,
Eden
By the way, dont tell i dont know to push a short push beause this is NOT the problem. I gave it to some friends and it happened to them too.
Your button is sticking. When you press it it does not come up fast enough.
Did you get any juice or sweat in the button ?

If it is trutly a physical defect with the home button your best but most annoying option is to take back the phone and have it changed with a new one.
Another thing to do is to do a factory reset (just in case there is a software bug causing the button to act this way)

This are my last options. I dont want to replace my phone neither to wipe it.
If you someone encounter this problem please help me.
Thanks
I have the same problem with my phone. Runing stock ROM.
The home button will trigger the task manager upon waking up the phone. This is driving me absolutly crazy. I hate lock screens and passwords just to get to the home screen.
Once the home screen is up this behavior stops.
I just tested the time it takes to hold the home button and launch the task manager alongside with my old Galaxy S2 and the latter needs a longer hold on the button.
The home button is not sticky, it has a normal feel and click.
Please help
Actually my problem i not at the waking up of the phone but in the home screen or in any app.
HELP
Just made an account because I'm having the exact same issue and was wondering if you were able to fix it at all because this happened to my phone very suddenly so I'm wondering if it's a software issue.. Please reply.
One thing I noticed is that this never happens when I'm on the home screen, only when have an app open. Also, it doesn't feel like the button is sticking by any means. My phone is a week old..

I'm having this same issue. When I'm at the home screen it doesn't "stick", but only when I'm in an application. What's up with this behavior? It's a recent development. Could this be a software issue? I have a Verizon S4 and it hasn't had a software update at all yet.
Any solutions, or maybe there's an app we all have that is causing this?
UPDATE
I've made this happen on the home screen, usually by pressing near the middle of the home button, however this only starts happening after the phone has been on for a while. I'm so confused as to whether this is a hardware or software issue, or maybe a combination of both.

The home button problem was gone for a while, but a week ago, it came back and I decided to call T-Mobile. They immediately said it was a software issue and recommended me to do a factory reset. So I did and it seems to be working perfect now, haven't had the home button sticking or giving any problems for about a week now.you should definitely give that a try.hope it helps.
hey guys.
I switched some ROMs after that and it solved the problem. I can only assume it is a software bug.
try upgrading to the newest version(I use 4.3)
Hope you will all solve it as i did.
Okay, so the last few days, I have some problems with my LG G2.... it's on the stock rom, with root and G2 Xposed...
So the first days, everytime I rotated the device, it said "Quickremote has stopped" and when I launched a LG app it said "Apps update has stopped".... Luckily, this stopped after a day, so no big deal for me.... Then, since 2 days ago, my phone doesn't vibrate, and the LED notification light is only working with Knock-On..... Now, since today, only the home button works..... Back button, recent button, menu button.... They all don't work....
Also, I've noticed everyday I've got a little more space free on my phone.... So I don't know what's going on, but it kinda seems like it's ripping itself apart....
I haven't rebooted my device, since I'm THAT scared of a bootloop.....
Can someone please help me?
i recently factory reset and rooted my phone for the second time and i dont know much about it but i think i know a little anyway i rooted it but i keep getting this " Unfortunately, the process com.android.systemui has stopped." and it locks my phone and forces the screen to go off. That happens when i open certain apps that are closed and i open. the apps that i have noticed it happen on camera, music, connect via Bluetooth in music, when the screen rotates thats the biggest one but I've had it ever since i rooted my phone the second time and im getting quite annoyed with it and i still can't find solutions so this is my last resort if yall can please help that would be greatly appreciate.
I have the Samsung Galaxy S4 SPH-L720T (sprint) with the stock rom.
Hi,
I recently purchased a second hand unlocked S8. It seemed to be working fine for the first 30 mins. When I did factory reset. The home launcher keeps crashing along with the bixby button.
Also I tried connecting to Smart Switch and it didn't seem to detect the phone although adb did. Tempraroy solution could be to switch the launcher to google one and maybe change the function of the Bixby button.
What can I do to restore the phone to Samsung original firmware? I want to be able to get future updates from Samsung. I appreciate all your help.
Hi there!!
Three days ago I bought a used xrn 7. I realized I had a ROM installed but I still bought it although I figured it might have an account ... And so it was. Thanks to my experience, I was able to unlock it, and I installed the "official" ROM, but these days I realized that there are some errors like I can't turn off the device. When I press the button to turn off it only vibrates but the menu does not appear to turn it off and if I keep it pressed longer the phone restarts. Also sometimes the phone freezes and restarts itself. Could someone help me and tell me if it is the ROM? if so... What ROM do you recommend? Thanks for your help. It should be noted that I am from Mexico.
