[GUIDE]How to get call and autobrightness to working [CM12.1 ] - Xperia SP General

Never ever do that. April 1. is over.
First you should make backup.
Browse to /system/framework-folder and delete file named framework-res.apk.
Then reboot, It takes long time, but worth to wait.
Now everything, calls, auto-brightness, sim detecting..., works perfect.

Or is this too cruel today......

Seriously?? Isn't framework-res.apk an essential part of Android?
BTW check the latest commit on the SP device code on GitHub - it may fix the call problem too: http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/93033/1/BoardConfig.mk

Yeah lol. been trying ways on how I can boot it but nothing works. But I'm having fun.
I managed to boot successfully.
1. Mount data and system from CWM.
2. DO NOT wipe anything. Eg: data, cache, etc..
3. Flash the zip.
4. Reboot.
YES ITS """[DANGEROUS][22/7] Test releases for experienced users only!"""
but its very nice and its not kill your ACE some phone booted or some not
its not problem if your phone have problem so flash normally no problem
Test3 is now available

ya u r right i just forgot
2.3.2 wouldn't restore backups, but now it's fixed in 2.3.3. It just needs a few things worked out before i release it.
Big issue is the jb api that TWRP 2.3 uses. Some older zip files like kernels or patches won't flash. You have to swap out the update-binary in those zips.

[MOD] [APP] 4.4.4 Modified Settings.apk with App-Ops menu

As the tittle says this is a modified 4.4.4 Settings.apk with the App-ops menu under security.
This was made following the guide posted here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2566695 by Calkulin
its only the apk in a rar file so extract it and rename then manually replace Settings.apk under system/priv-app/
This is NOT a flashable zip!
4.4.4
sha1:c1df5246de156e1656e43f123f55d786760463ee
http://www.mediafire.com/?p91g41818ddhncg
4.4.3

https://www.mediafire.com/?m8edtkj9kx59s70
My rooted but stock ROM 4.4.3 N5 has both a "Settings.apk" and a "Settings.odex" in the system/priv-app/ folder.
Should I remove the .odex file or leave it there? Will your modified Settings.apk work on my standard odexed ROM or will I also need an appropriate .odex as well?
Thanks for doing this, as I wasn't having much success with Calkulin's instruction guide.
edit: So I renamed both the original Settings.apk and its Settings.odex files (adding .bak), added and renamed your modified version, and rebooted. All seems to be working as expected, and it's VERY nice to have App Ops back. Thank you again!
4.4.4 was added
Thanks... works perfect on stock 4.4.4

Need help to build AOSP 5.0.2

Hey guys, I'm trying to build a AOSP 5.0.2 to use with stock kernel in my phone (I have the freeze issue, and I want a pure Lollipop ROM, because Stock ROM is a great sh*t)
I already downloaded the sources, device tree and vendor tree, put all files in specific folders according to this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zen...w-to-compile-roms-zenfone-5-x86-chip-t3312889
But when I try to build, I'm getting this error: https://s31.postimg.org/4tqyt91pn/Captura_de_tela_de_2016_07_07_20_17_15.png
Since this is my first time building a ROM from source, I don't know what's wrong...
Anyone could help me? Since all developers are building Marshmallow ROMs, I will try to build this ROM by myself for daily use
Man, i have already built AOSP 5.0.2 a half of year ago.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-5/orig-development/alpha-aosp-lollipop-tank0412-t3284781
To fix your building error, you should use this hardware/intel folder:

Use hal_public.h from aosp device tree and put it to hal folder.

Try this intel folder:
https://github.com/n0ak/android_hardware_intel
Simple, use prebuilts whenever possible, then go adding things from source as you want.
That's how I did the Marshmallow.

Instead of building them from source, delete the source and put the prebuilts (original .so files from stock) of the libraries of the sources that you removed at vendor/asus/(a500cg|T00F|ctp-common)/proprietary/system/lib
