Yeah, I thought it was a flashable zip
Maybe next week or so, I'll give it a shot, but no promises though since I have never compiled anything before

ya u r right i just forgot
2.3.2 wouldn't restore backups, but now it's fixed in 2.3.3. It just needs a few things worked out before i release it.
Big issue is the jb api that TWRP 2.3 uses. Some older zip files like kernels or patches won't flash. You have to swap out the update-binary in those zips.

^^ Good Post! HAHA! ^^
This is the newest news from the Nexus S Dev Forum:
Update: We need another dump!
This dump was taken via fastboot oem unlock and adb pull /system and it's apparently missing permissions and symlinks.
We need to get a dump from a rooted, busybox installed Nexus S using the following command:
tar zcvf /sdcard/system-dump.tar.gz /system
Us Galaxy S users could also use a kernel dump.
Even if you have no clue how to do any of this, please go to http://webchat.freenode.net/ and join the channel #NSdev
Just mention that you have a Nexus S and we will walk you through the process.
-Thanks
Can't wait to see this baby running!

I'm new to this so I may be missing something, but didn't full kernel sources get posted? Is there any difference between the two?
Anyone have a copy of the CM 7.2 kernel? I don't know if I'm missing it somewhere, but I can't find a link.
Thanks.

If you have to change your recovery & unlock to flash it, you won't get update.
If else it should be allright.
But I think, your phone will lock the install...

Hey guys, I'm trying to build a AOSP 5.0.2 to use with stock kernel in my phone (I have the freeze issue, and I want a pure Lollipop ROM, because Stock ROM is a great sh*t)
I already downloaded the sources, device tree and vendor tree, put all files in specific folders according to this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zen...w-to-compile-roms-zenfone-5-x86-chip-t3312889
But when I try to build, I'm getting this error: https://s31.postimg.org/4tqyt91pn/Captura_de_tela_de_2016_07_07_20_17_15.png
Since this is my first time building a ROM from source, I don't know what's wrong...
Anyone could help me? Since all developers are building Marshmallow ROMs, I will try to build this ROM by myself for daily use
Man, i have already built AOSP 5.0.2 a half of year ago.

Use hal_public.h from aosp device tree and put it to hal folder.

Try this intel folder:
https://github.com/n0ak/android_hardware_intel
Simple, use prebuilts whenever possible, then go adding things from source as you want.

Instead of building them from source, delete the source and put the prebuilts (original .so files from stock) of the libraries of the sources that you removed at vendor/asus/(a500cg|T00F|ctp-common)/proprietary/system/lib

Hi guys
I am making this post to help those of you who doesn't know how to push a file to system partition to fix camera crashing issue and flash sync bug in Nougat ROMs on redmi note 3.
I have made a video for better understanding .
Link to video : https://youtu.be/JB0BIcsbs4M
But yeah , all you have to do is flash the file after flashing ROM on dirty flash the file on top of current ROM ( must be 7.1.1) and then reboot.
This is will fix camera .
I made the flashable zip.
But full credits goes to sir billchen1977 for making and sharing the basic fix.
Thanks a lot !
UPDATE: LINK OF FLASHABLE ZIP IN VIDEO DESCRIPTION
I am confused. If someone is capable of flashing a Nougat based ROM. They surely have the ability to flash the .zip in the first post of the original fix thread. What's the video for?

Some had issues with permissions. Fortunately, theres a patch that skips setting new permission.
Take that xiaomi, we made a fully working nougat rom before you would've even started to work on it

Info from trusted sources ( please don't ask where) is saying that we will be getting first versions of miui based in nougat for redmi note 3 on end of this month .
By just using X-plore file manager in moving the file, all of the permissions are automatically set. All you have to do after moving the file is to reboot the phone.
