I have tried everything...
I am on CloudyG2 2.2, got the D802 European version, 32gb.
My provider is giffgaff which runs on the 02 network in the UK.
Here are some screens. It finds the 4g network and I can register on it, but I never get 4g speed...
APN settings are correct and I have a 4g giffgaff goody bag and 4g enabled sim card.
I'm a bit clueless now...

How can I make my HTC Magic roam on ATT's 3G network instead of Tmobile? We don't have 3G coverage on Tmobile in my home town, but I would like to see if I could get the phone to work on ATT's network. I have rooted my phone and it's not unlocked. If I unlocked the phone could I use the Tmobile SIM card on Att? I've also tried selecting ATT's network, but it won't switch. Thanks for the help.

There is not a way to make your phone show ATT if it is in coverage range of T-Mobile plus the 3G network on att uses a differenty frequency than Tmobile does so even putting a ATT sim in an unlocked mytouch or g1 would not show 3G.
I feel your pain i am waiting for cincy to get 3G as well.
Please help! I moved to Australia and cant use any data functions on the Optus network. Optus uses 900/2100mHz for both the 2G and 3G networks. They utilize UMTS and HSPA...the same as T-mobile (the folks I intentionally bought my phones from). I know the Glacier doesnt do data at 900mHz, but I can't even get a connection at 2100mHz. I called HTC customer support and Virgin Mobile Australia. Both companies are stumped and say it should work, but it doesn't. 2 phones, 2 sim cards, no data. Voice and SMS work fine. I added the Virgin Mobile APN per their settings, still nothing. Ideas? Is there a patch required to be Aussie compatible?
Second issue, my wife's phone is very weak when it comes to WiFi, I have seen this is a known issue. Is there a fix now that mailing it back isn't an option?
Please help. I have two great smart phones that aren't so smart right now.

Resolved. Don't input the APN settings, just enter the APN name and the phone figures out the rest. No luck with wifi.

So it is definitely working for you? I wanted to get the HTC Glacier as well (i.e. mytouch 4G). If I got it unlocked, would it work on the 3 Australia network? Specifically, are you getting 2G speeds for data usage on your phone, or are your getting 3G speeds. I want to be able to use it in Australia as well. It's a lot cheaper than some of the other phones available with similar specs in Australia.
Sorry for slow reply. Yes, I am getting 3g speeds on Optus/Virgin network. I do not get MMS though or video calls. I only get internet and SMS. Good luck.
Cool thanks for ur help, managed to get it to work in Australia on 3 (dunno about other networks), although from what I've heard the 3G won't work in rural areas because they use a different frequency.
I have a DVP from Tmobile that I bought and unlocked it for ATT. I cannot get the 3G to enable on it.. Is this not possible? From what Ive read it looks possible..
I've add the APN settings, went to the ##3282# and set 3g and it fails to turn the radio back on,.,. Then reverts to 2G or mixed but never pulls a 3G signal.
Sorry, not possible. That is why there are two different versions. The hardware is slightly different.

Yes you can get 3g on a tmobile phone that is on the att network. Go into settings cellular than edit apn. The only apn setting needed is wap.cingular no user name or password. This setting got me 3g. I do have a prerelease phone but that shouldn't matter.

You wouldnt have got 3G on at&t, different radio frequencies and AFA we know the dell is not penta-band. Changing the APN wont work on a T-Mo DVP.
Like efjay said, AT&T and T-Mobile uses different frequency so you'll have to buy Dell Venue Pro with T-Mobile band.
Hi, looking for some assistance (again). I have had issues with getting the correct data network on my phone.
The phone is a HTC One M7, I bought it sim free in the UK.
I have put a virgin mobile sim card in the phone and the only network that comes up is EXT, when I try to connect it states that my SIM is not allowed a connection to this network. This only happens where I stay which is out of town. I had the same issue with a TELUS sim too. The only one that works is a Rogers one but I only get EDGE.
In the city they all work fine giving me LTE or HSPA+.
Please could somebody assist?

2 month ago I bought a secondhand S4 (KOT49H.I9505XXUGNH6 - ARMv7 processor - android 4.4.2) in Thailand for I´m on a bicicyle journey and wanted to use GPS navigation und Internet. For now everything went well.
Now I´m in Georgia and I want to use 4G Network via Prepaid Company "beeline". The phone connects only to 2G. In "network-mode" it shows only GSM and WCDMA, neither 4G. Even if I force the 3G Network it gives me the messages "Selected Network unavailable". I found out that the phone is a branded version from Vodafone Australia (VAU) - not a hunch how the phone comes to Thailand. Anyway.
Is there anything that I can do to unlock 4G Networks for my phone?

Make sure the sim card from beeline is a 4g card
