Hopefully someone can help me out here. I've racked my brain trying to figure out how to keep my SD card from being encrypted when adding an Exchange account. Our business partnered with another business and in using their Exchange server the permissions call for encrypting my SD card, making it unusable. All of my pictures, videos, and songs are on there and I'd like to be able to use it. Has anyone else dealt with this problem? Am I sh*t out of luck here? Surely there's a workaround to allow my SD card to work and still be able to use my work email. I figured the best place to ask was here with the collective genius of XDA!
Thanks for any help you can provide!
Chris
Never mind folks. I spoke with one of the engineers/tech guys within the company and he removed the SD card encryption policy.
Thanks for the help...LOL!

Hi, is there any way of doing this? I mean, while activesync is working, make it store all the info in the SD.
I know you can copy/paste, but should be possible also manually.
Come'on, noone knows the answer? i thought I was the only one.. :? . It should be pretty interesting to be able to use the sd as a data mail storage, in my case i have to keep thousends of mails.
or edit the ones on the card already? Did a search and only saw for windows phones. All I seem to be able to do is import from the sim card. THanks and if this has been addressed in another post, please just point me to the right post. Greatly appreciate it!
my contacts wont auto sync with google so i been trying to figure out the same thing.
i agree with them if anyone knows how please share
My GF was messing with my Samsung Saga last night which uses windows mobile 6.1 operating system. In a drunken or high stupor she added a numeric password to my phone and now I can not access it at all. She and I tried a bunch of different codes only to get locked out of my phone because of too many attempts and all my clients numbers I have in it. My question is does anyone know how to hack into my phone so I do not loose all my contacts info? I have verizon carrier and I can look up all the numbers I have called in the last few months but calling up clients and asking them who they are is not an option. Does anyone have any sort of advice on how I can break the password now that I have reached the incorrect password limit? Any suggestions would be of great help. I did have the phone conected to my pc with active sync but I do not believe I ever figured out how to sync up my contacts only my pics...Although that means I have the hot pics of my gf I don't have the ultimately more important contacts I need for our livelyhood.
It might be possible for a verizon store to help you. But I imagine you will have to hard reset and lose everything. Now you could pull the pim.vol file use activesync.
How do I get the pim.vol
Activesync comes up as disabled and I can not access my phone at all. Any suggestions on how to get through that to copy my pim.vol file over to my pc? Oh and as for going to the verizon store I already tried that. They told me that with the password in place they could not do anything with the phone...
Little global card
I have the samsung saga so I noticed it has that card that allows it to be used over a GSM network I believe it is called. Does that card have the contacts on it by chance? And if so how could I read what is there?
I recently kiled my laptop and now need my TP2 to take over the workload...
With the lack of important features in poutlook i am looking at getting flexmail.
As my laptop is still down I can't test some of the most important feature for e which is activesync;
Can I "merge" my email forlder that i download with the folder than will activesync to my laptop (when I get it working again).
and can I change the location of email storage to SD card istead of TP2 memory?
I could not find these answers on their website so I thought I'd ask here after a search failed to divine for me these answers to the above questions.
Thanks for you help
G
You can store on the card.
I am sure that you can merge folders, though I have never done it as I use and Exchange server. I am sure, though, that it will not be easy to do.
I have a lot of contacts 1,000 and quite a few emails and folders that I want to put on my phone.
However, when I try to do this.....the phone slows down and warns me to free up space.
How do you sync with your phone.......but tell the phone to put those on the Memory Card?
Someone else may have a better answer for you, but the only thing I know you you can do is create a word document and type all of your contacts and their information in that document.
Then save that document on your SD card.

The only thing I can think of for your emails is to use a different email client rather than pocket outlook. Take a look in the WM apps forums.
Most contact managers use the Outlook database, but you might also have some luck trying a different app.
