Pop Up Multi Window error? - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!
A strange problem occurred. I can't open apps like Chrome and YouTube as a pop up window from the recent apps if i have closed them before. The pop up window disappears when using drag and drop. All other apps seem to work without any problem. Anybody knows why?
Btw: I'm still on Android 4.4.4! ?
Thanks for your help

Something odd

Hi,
I noticed something odd on my phone - whenever I open any application and just scroll my finger on the screen(left to right or up down), sometimes the message inbox just pops up! I have installed wktask and fingerflo - is it because of them? Anyone has the same problem as me?
Thanks.

Well just uninstall them and see it happens again or not????
ok I've just found out what was wrong - I know it's a bit old but it may help others. I had to edit FingerFlo's settings and clear the shortcuts for the up/down/left/right and voila!! everything is working fine now

[Q] Weird problem with address bar/text fields

Hey guys, getting some strange issues with my address bar on my phone.
Its only started recently and I can't work out what I've changed or pinpoint when it happened. All I have done is rooted the phone and removed some of the bloat (all of which on the safe list)
When I go into a browser or have to enter text into a text box I press the text box to try to enter text. If the box already has text in it, it used to select all the text so I can type over it/copy it etc. Now it seems to select all the text, then puts my cursor where I pressed, as if I double clicked.
Has anyone else had this issue? Or know what has caused it/how to fix it.
The second issue I'm having with the opera mobile browser. When I start to type an address it auto completes - gives me options of the ending (.co.uk/.com/.net etc) But it automatically completes the address with the top result.
Is this just me or is it a common issue? Is there a way to stop this?
Thanks in advance
Was just having a quick play around ans it seems its something to do with swype keyboard...can't work out how to fix it, any ideas at all?
As far as i noticed this happens if you have to manually add something into your keyboards wordDB.. just tap anywhere and back to the line you were and it should not bug.

Stock internet browser not closing multi window tabs

First off, very impressed with the phone, but just trying to figure out this problem; did a bit of a search first and I couldn't find anything concrete so I wanted to see if you guys could replicate it or think of a fix.
When using the default internet browser, if I hit the button in the top right to open a new browser window, it will go into the "window manager" screen. From there if I hit the "add window" button in the top right with a plus sign, it won't do anything. The only way I can open new windows is if I use the menu button on the bottm left. Furthermore, if there are multi windows open and I try to close one, it will give me the "Unfortunately the internet has stopped" message. Same thing happens if I try to back out of the "window manager" screen.
Any thoughts?
dont use the default browser because its terrible
Yeah I figured I'd probably end up using Chrome anyways, just wondering if anybody else is having this problem or if it's a bigger issue with my phone.

Im experiencing the same problem when I try to close windows in the stock browser.
I have no solution for you but hope that by posting this it will draw the attention of someone who has a solution.
And yes, other browsers are probably better but I think ALL stock software should work flawless.

Long press to forward text not working

I am trying to solve this issue for my mom. She is running completely stock from Verizon. The issue is when she tries to forward a text message from the stock app, it occasionally will not recognize the long press on the text bubble. The issue seems to be intermittent . When I attempted to test the issue, it was having no problems, then I closed all open processes / applications and the problem reappeared.
When I attempt a long press on the text bubble, it will grey out for a split second, then act as if I never touched the screen. However it recognizes the touch to scroll if that makes sense. The problem seems isolated to the text messaging app. A long press in Gmail still will start the copy / paste function.
I pulled the battery and loaded the messaging app first and the problem seems to start from start up. Unless there is a process that loads on startup that I need to make inactive.
Anyone else have a similar issue, or possible solution?

Minimizing issue with LS997ZV9

After getting the Android 7 September 2017 security patch on my LS997 (Sprint V20), I am having a recurring issue that is driving me nuts. Any menu I bring up that overlays the rest of the screen (think swipe-down menu or Messenger chat head) is "minimizing" on its own randomly. For example, I swipe down to get the menu icons and now it's scrolling back up on its own before I touch anything. Or, I'll be using Messenger's chat head function to open a message and, in the middle of reading or even typing, it just closes back to the chat head. It's super aggravating if I'm in the middle of typing when it closes because then I hit another icon that opens some app I had no intention of opening.
It doesn't seem like it's doing this to anything that opens in its own separate window, just these sorts of menus that overlay anything else that's already up. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on a fix? I'd appreciate the help!
This is also occurring for me after the update. Extremely aggravating. Happening for family members with V20's too.

Sorry to hear it's happening to you too but glad I'm not going crazy thinking it's just me. Seems like this is an issue with the "draw over other apps" setting, perhaps? I've submitted reports to LG and Facebook, though this is happening with the stock OS swipe-down menu as well. LG got back to me and suggested I try putting the phone in Safe Mode and seeing if the issue persists. During my testing, this did not occur again while in Safe Mode. Upon returning to regular mode, the issue continued. LG stated that behavior suggests it's not part of the system and may be due to an installed app. I've tried uninstalling Messenger updates but it won't allow me to use it without running the most current version. I went into app settings and turned off "draw over other apps" for every app but Messenger but the issue persists.
Short of doing a factory reset, I'm not sure what else to do to get this to go away. Help would be appreciated!
