User engagement is a key goal for app marketing. The strongest engagement type is user contribution. One master of that is Waze offering different level of contribution opportunities: Everybody contributes with automatic traffic information running the Waze app. But then users can report different traffic incidents for the community, and on the extreme - users can extend/correct the Waze map.
How an app with static content can still stimulate user contribution. The answer is translation.
On almost all markets – even is US there are significant Spanish community – significant number of users do not speak English, so they cannot use the app with comfort. But there are also people who speak English and roughly 5% of them would be ready to translate the app they are using to contribute to their family, friends or their language community. As with Waze, the contribution opportunity better has to be instant, meaning in the app, on the phone.
Our localization solution built exactly this way. Integrate an SDK to your app, and on language markets users are offered to translate your app on their phone, in the app environment. Bonus functions are
voting to get translation – market survey based real customer demand
language practice – easily swapping between 2 language versions
machine translations - for easing user contribution
Translation opportunity not just helps to get contributing users and as a result better engagement with your existing local language users – who probably did not understand all parts of your app -, but you will gain new users who neglected your app, just because they did not understand a piece of it.

Hello everyone,
My team is working for eeGeo, a company that provides a 3D mapping platform for developers.
A cloud based, SaaS platform has its origins in the gaming industry. We use gaming know-how married to mobile technology and big data to create geo-spatially accurate renditions of cities, countries and continents for multiple platforms.
eeGeo’s SDK makes it simple to create and maintain an engaging virtual representation of any property (outdoor as well as indoor).
Big news is that we have recently launched our JavaScript API which promises to greatly reduce the friction to developing on our maps; you can hack something up rapidly, rather than installing xcode, signing up for a developer account , provisioning your device etc. Plus you don’t need to download any app to experience our maps.
In addition to that, our API is compatible with the popular Leaflet.js library, used by many mapping platforms. If you’re already using Leaflet, it’s easy to change your 2D map for a more immersive, engaging experience. It’s all out there courtesy a few lines of HTML.
More details here: http://www.eegeo.com/2016/07/eegeo-maps-browser-javascript-api-now-beta/
It would be brilliant if you could become a part of the team that will test run our JavaScript API, eegeo.js and get back to us with your feedback. We are offering a free license of our eeGeo SDK worth $1200 for everyone who participates.
Do note that this is a beta release, so we’d love to hear your feedback. We’re already planning performance improvements, increased map coverage, and new features, but we want to hear from you. Feature requests, bugs, and other comments can be added to the github issues list.
During the beta period, eegeo.js is free to use. You only need an eeGeo API key. You can sign up here: https://goo.gl/forms/l2Wh2M9wkqw9kqXq1. Have a great day!
Hello, I’m here to share my thoughts and tips about the Android app promotion
Here are the most useful tips which I have learnt promoting my Android Apps:
1) Start promoting your App while it’s still developing.
2) Make an announcement about your Application in news break. List its pros, benefits, emphasize strong sides. It helps to warm up the user’s perception and become more loyal to the newly released application.
3) Maximize its effectiveness in your inner market. I mean it must stand out among the similar applications and become visible for users when they type its name in search line. ASO service will help you to be different and recognized – pay attention on title, description, screenshots, and presence of keywords.
4) Use SMM channel. Talk as much as possible about your application in social networks, thematic blogs and forums.
5) Maintain AdWords campaign – it would provide you solely target audience on your App installation.
6) Use incent traffic service which provide you installs and high rate reviews– it cost not much, but ensure inflow of organic audience.
7) If you have several similar application – not use the same marketing campaign – try different channels and test measurements.
8) Run the keyword install campaigns for the cheapest rankings growth and raise your organic traffic
Would be great if people will add their own thoughts/marketing cases here. Concerning the different ad networks/platforms etc:angel:

pay attention to your existing users
I may share one more tip
You might have developed an excellent app, but you might be forgetting about retention and loyalty. Observing recent app store algorithm updates, you can see that retention and app usage metrics are getting more important for the app stores than ever. Loyal users are about to be even more value for both Apple App Store as well as Google Play Store Algorithm.
Hello everyone,
I'm new here, so I'm glad my first post will about something really cool!
App translations is a pain in the ass, especially when the app targets all countries and languages. Everybody who develops an app knows that pain.
stringX is a free solution for developers available to apps with API 7 and above and no root required!
What the hell am I talking about?
stringX SDK hooks to the inflating process of your views and translates the content to any of 103 supported languages., practically with no effect on app performance.
Here is a schedule
- September: beta tests starts
- October: stringX available for early access subscribers
- November: stringX available for every developer
I'm super excited about this project and I encourage everybody to submit for early access and get an extras for a start.
Finally stringX project is ready to go public!
It took a bit more time to complete, however I was experimenting on my own apps in order to make stringX sdk as efficient as possible.
It was tested on thousands of users on various apps like Blood Pressure, Diabetes or Fertility Calendar and the results were astonishing. User session time became the same for users with automatic translation, as for users with professional translations, what results in greater revenue from ads and in-app purchases. I will describe that in detail soon here.
To start using stringX follow instructions on the official site:
https://www.stringx.io/docs/guides
Don't hesitate to contact me in case of any problems.
Hey, see this article, where I have described how stringX helped Blood Pressure app and how it was integrated.

hi, i have question how i can contact you
Hi all,
I have a note taking app (https://wenote.jstock.co)
Originally, the language of the app is in English and Taiwan Chinese. So, how I promote is
English - via Reddit forums. Time-to-time, people will raise questions regarding to what note taking app they should use. I will take such opportunity to introduce my app.
Taiwan Chinese - via some Taiwan Chinese forums for Android app related topic. As, I can speak and read Taiwan Chinese natively, so not a big deal for me.
This is some how effective, as I start gaining traffic from Taiwan, and some English speaking countries.
Recently, some volunteers help me to translate the note taking app into the following languages.
Germany
Russian
Turkish
I was wondering, what are some effective ways I can promote the app to the above countries user, if I can't read their language at all?
For instance, I know some popular tech related publishing sites in Turkish like webtekno.com, shiftdelete.net and donanimhaber.com. However, since I can't read their language, I will get lost very quickly, once I try to browse their sites to find a person contact. I also find it very difficult to open an account successfully at their forums (if any), as I can't read their language.
I know hiring a native marketers (For the respective language) is the best way. But right now, since the app is not generating any revenue, I don't have such budget to do so.
Do you have any suggestion, on how to promote the app to Germany, Russian, Turkish speakers? Thanks.
App Needs Traffic
I do agree that posting can influence into the installs status, but it's not enough for decent promotion.
You need big volumes of traffic in order your app can increase the Store positions.
Here are the main factors influencing the app ranking in the Store:
1. Installs Amount
2. Installs Retention
3. Keyword Discoverability
4. Average Rating Mark
5. Positive Comments
All these activities should be provided initially you have published your app in the App Store or Google Play. Besides, do not ignore the reviews as it is very important aspect for brand loyality.
Since that I need to say that installs and positive reviews play prime role in the app success and visibility for real people. Many app owners chooseKeenMobi[/URL] company to improve the traffic for app to reach top charts of the Store.
