Hi. I have a Galaxy S5 SMG900i that i would like to backup the recovery before i start messing with it and then after that backup the efs and rom.
Is there a way to do this as ive tried efs pro but it wants busybox and as its fully stock i dont have it.
thanks
Device: Samsung Galaxy S4 (SGH-I337M)
Android:5.0.1
Rooted
cwm custom recovery touch version.
When I do a Nandroid backup it seems to do successfully but I see errors in the log file.
And when I restore using the same backup after it finishes restore process, all the services stop working (example: google.app ....)
I attach screenshots and log file for backup process.
Please explain why this is happening and how to fix it.
Thanks
Sam

As lennyz & Reaper suggested I switched to twrp, both backup and restore are working smoothly.
Thanks for help.
CWM isn't updated anymore. So you should either swith to TWRP or Philz (thought Philz isn't updated anymore either but it still works).
Maybe that could fix it. Also make sure you have plenty of space left when you make a nandroid. Something like 5gb when you are on TW rom.
Use PhilZ, as it is based on CMW, so it should work with your backups. If you don't care about the backups anymore then go with TWRP. Haven't had any problems with TWRP so far.
Just flashed 7.0 and rooted also but not able to restore apps from titanium backup given root permission still facing the problem :crying:
What error are you getting?
I'm not able to restore my apps no errors when i go to backup location i select the file then when i go to restore their is no files to restore

If your phone is rooted then you should have twrp installed
and if you have twrp installed it has an options of what it
can backup when you select "backup" or "restore" and
there you will see an option to only backup efs or backup
other things in the phone like system, data, cache & dalvik.
Select EFS and nothing else if that's all you want to backup.
Good luck, have a great day!
Thanks alot dear.. I already did that in twrp. Is that the only thing which I need related to efs ? Is twrp efs backup is reliable ?
Yep.
But move a copy of the backup to your pc just in case you have any future problems.
Hello guys. I have my Note3 for almost 4 years. I used to have stock 4.2.2, and with that rom CWM saved and restored backup normally. Now I made a clean install of RR-N-v5.8.3-20170526-hlte-Unofficial.zip.
I installed some apps and tried to make a backup. CWM (n9005-cwm-recovery-6.0.4.7-kk(0125).tar) reported backup successiful, but it's not working. File Explorer HD reports "Unable to open" when I try to open backup's foler. Root Browser and USB sharing shows the folder empty. I'm afraid of trying to ask CWM to restore a backup.
Use TWRP to backup .
Sent from my SM-N930F using XDA-Developers Legacy app
It worked thanks!
