Did someone try it?
Enviado desde mi SM-N915F mediante Tapatalk
I downloaded it on sammobile and have no problems at all. Installed it on the 5.0.1 of february this year
I'm in Turkey. I installed and no problem. Antutu before 46700, after 50548.
I have also installed this firmware on SM-N915FY (DBT). So far there are no problems.
Yes i have it and no hick ups
Working good here on SM-N915FY in the UK, reinstalled CWM and then re-rooted
Still there is a problem with camera shutter position
OK
Installed over BOA2 beta on my 915Fy (F) with no wipes (non-rooted) and it seems smoother than beta. Battery also more robust, esp. on cell radio when making calls. Will keep testing.
does it have gear app and works flawlessly?
somebody could try and gently tell me if italian language is there?
thanks a lot anticipately

The basis of a well-functioning software after flashing to perform wipe data and cache in recovery
I always do when installing new software, good luck

Also no problem with my FY (german).
By notification panel you mean the edge? No problems here.
I did not wipe, all apps and settings survived.
(HavenĀ“t got root yet.)
Step by step on how I updated my fone using this update
Downloaded this build from Sammobile & used odin 3.9
Made a backup (kies) just in case
Uploaded the file on odin
Put fone on recovery
(Pls read the log in odin carefully before doing anything)
Everything went without a hitch in 5 minutes
No data was lost and it was like a normal update
Fone stuttered a bit after the update for like half an hour
Now it is butter smooth better than kitkat
Still getting used to the new interface (Colors are very loud and tons of animations )
FYI If u remove your sd card the fone is much smoother on lollipop (same issue with my brothers s5)

I've been running this update for a few weeks now...odined to my us n8013 and it's really fast and smooth. Much better than, y last n8013 stock firmware. I also have the Brazil ml2 firmware Ii just haven't gotten around to flashing it yet, as I've been really happy running the german mk2 with Zeus 4.0 if you have an n8013 i highly suggest you go to this mk2 from Germany. Remember n8013 and n8010 are interchangeable and only csc differences for regional coding by county.

So if I load the German MK2 on my US N8013 do I need to manually update (copy) anything from my existing CSC directory? If not I'm assuming the tablet just looks like a German tablet, does that cause any issues here in US? I'm thinking Wifi, Playstore?

Anyone missing Groups inside Contacts?
All contacts sync properly, but all the groups they belong to are gone.
I've tried deleting the account and resyncing the exchange account but the groups are non-existent.

No you don't need to change anything...everything works exactly the same running n8010 roms from any country or running n8013 from us. No need for csc codes alterations ect....and since it's an update flash vs a wiped flash from cwm even to the fonts and such stay in english....you literally just odin it and done. Seems to run much faster and smoother as well.

I have a dual band router and have had zero issues with my note 10 running n8013 or n8010 firmware, at least for me both bands of wifi have run flawlessly without any intervention or need of altering anything to make them function properly. I can and do flash back and forth between n8013 and n8010 firmwares, as well as flashing custom roms on top of either bases without issue.

What are the sboot.img and tz.img? Are they important?
Is it worth installing the Stock 4.4.2 ?
and Why as the device is already Flagged
i think its better not to upgrade now, because the current firmwares have some bugs, and if you upgrade to 4.4.2 you cant go back, so wait for a better firmware....i upgraded to 4.4.2 and i regret that...
I agree. I won't recommend the update either. The overall experience will be a little more smoother, but in the expense of lack of custom kernel (i9500 only), and that long email list jerkiness. Jelly Bean is stable enough imo.

Its good idea to upgrade. I've upgraded my i9505 to 4.4.2 and it runs very good without single problem. I recommended. :good:
So I did.... Let's see
Hi There!
I just installed it and bumped with the CSC Conflicts where booting with no modems, wifi etc...... until I found a fix
Now it's running fine nevertheless I rooted it to install the framework etc...
Will keep an eye on the battery and keep you guys posted
Will miss the Pure Android Feel for a few days I guess
Really it is very good to upgrade! Better Ram management. Mine never lagged or frilled.

If you want to flash a firmware via Odin then use the AP slot for the firmware. CP is for the modem.

Hi there,
I have a GT-I9505 Black edition with PDA&PHONE:NC4 and CSC=ND1 (LUX)
Sammobile released a new I9505XXUGNG8 update for Germany.
Is it safe for me to update to this version? Won't this update give me poor signal?
Will updating using odin wipe my phone? Can I use towelroot again after this update?
Thanks in advance and sorry for these (probably obvious) questions. I'm only used to custom firmwares

Hi mate,
Regarding your questions
Is safe , yes
Poor signal it may , as is a different modem ( but most likely it will be fine)
will it wipe it , Yes
towelroot , yes but if knox was set before it will be stil set after you flash with Odin
if you do not like it or if performing under your expectations you can always go back to what you have now.....BACKUP , Backup EFS also just in case

Problems..
Flashed this firmware and the device boots. When it's booted, I get a message that com.android.phone stopped working and the device reboots!
I'll try to reflash!

Hi mate,
I do not think that is a flashing problem , i think is related to gmail sync. delete your contacts and gmail account and create it again...it should solve it
Try to factory reset it , do not restore back up (yet) and see if is working
Towelroot doesn't work for the new firmware builts, doesn't it?
I thought it will only work until version 4.4.2 NF1

Clearing cache using stock recovery didn't do it. Factory reset however seems to fix it.
I was using Titanium Backup before and I now realise that I had it backup to the internal memory instead of sd card.. fml!
Whatever, thanks for the help!

It doesn't work. Even not with the "1337 0 1 7380 4 0" modstring
I will no longer upload firmware files for the N915F. I changed my phone.
N915FXXU1COH2 5.1.1:
Download:
SER Russia CSC:
Google Drive
MEGA
N915FYOXA1COI1 - U.K.
You will not lose your warranty or do any harm to your device if you flash this. Please note that it's only for N915F/FY. Knox stays 0x0.
Install Instructions:
Extract (unzip) the firmware file
Download Odin 3.10.6
Extract Odin zip-file
Open Odin
Reboot phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
Click the start button, sit back and wait a few minutes
Let the fun begin ...
Will probably wait forever for the 5.1.1 kernel source.
I'm curious if this will boot with BOC6 kernel and 5.0.1 bootloader + modem.
You sure that fy version can flash it?
Yes, I have the FY version. Just flashed it, works great!

Thank you. It can be rooted?
We need permissive kernel for root on 5.1.1, so until Samsung releases kernel source, we have no root.

Have you tried to go back to 5.0.1 after flashing 5.1.1?
Are there any visible changes in 5.1.1 comparing with 5.0.1?
Don't have any reason to go back to 5.0.1. There are few visible changes, there's Smart Manager included from S6, and that's pretty much it. The real changes are under the hood, the phone is much faster than before.
I was just curious if is possible to go back to 5.0.1 once you upgrade to 5.1.1.
On the Note 4 you can, don't see why it would be different on the Note Edge.
Is one try this the room ???

Sure, FW is best .... very fast! Great...now i`m happy...... waiting only for Root!
Hi guys, im from Argentina, i tried to root my S7 edge SM-G935F made in vietnam using CF-Auto-Root with Odin following a tutorial in youtube (big mistake), when i finished, the Wifi icon turned grey like it was disabled. I cant turn it on (obviously cant find any Wifi networks because its off).
I tried doing a hard reset but the problem continues. The phone was working perfect. I downloaded root checker after trying to root but says "Root access is not properly installed on this device" , so totally fail :good:
What should i do? What ROM can i flash? and how? Here is my actual software:
Android version: 7.0
Baseband version: G935FXXU1DQB1
Kernel version: 3.18.14-10422490
Build number: NRD90M.G935FXXU1DQB7

How to flash firmware via odin

yes, but try to flash the one for your country as the csc has the codes need to have your phone working optimally with your provider.
