Verizon galaxy s5
root, busybox, and safestrap installed.
Created rom slot
installed rom (MOAR rom on ext-sd)
Now when I reboot, it'll get to the safestrap screen, go to a blank screen after that and just stay at a blank screen. After around a minute itll boot to factory recovery.
Anybody experience this?

I always use the stock slot. I am assuming you are on lollipop. So you Odin down to NK2 or lower to get to safestrap, did a full wipe ( everything but SD card), flashed the ROM, went back to download mode through safestrap, then flashed the OA8 firmware and let it boot up?

I have an international I9505. Stock rom rooted with cf auto-root and twrp 2.5.
I have been using it since I first got it at launch date. Just a while ago, I took out my microsd card without unmounting it first. I restarted my phone. Now, whenever I try to turn on my phone, it will show the Samsung S4 logo and then stuck at black screen. After that it will auto bootup again but to twrp recovery. I can't seem to boot it normally.
Any solution that I can do right now? Other than flashing it with original stock rom.

First just try doing an advanced wipe with cache and dalvik cache checked.
If that doesn't work I'm just letting you know if you flash the stock firmware via odin you will not lose any data, just root and you can easily re-root your phone.

Thanks. My phone is back to normal now.
I had Mint Jelly2.1 installed and everything was working fine.
it started when I had used the APK Hide It Pro. I was in the process of hiding videos and I noticed that my phone got rebooted and got stock in the Samsung boot up image with the Custom Lock image.
I tried nandroid restore, 2 images, but both also failed to restore / bootup.
I tried re-installing ROM and it was successful but during reboot, it will still get stock on the boot image.
Last step.
I used ODIN to restore the stock ROM and ODIN was able to install and reset. And my phone rebooted but still got stock on the Samsung Logo with CUstom Lock Screen.
What else can I do to fix this?
Thank you.
Boot into recovery and do a factory reset. I assume you now have 3e stock recovery because of ODIN. This might or might not help. If you have any questions about recovery, please use the search function for information. If for some reason you still have a custom recovery (TWRP or CWM), try re-flashing an AT&T ROM and Kernel again. Everything you try is at your own risk. Good luck.

I had tried to restore/flash from recovery before ODIN and it all Failed.
Anyway, the last step ODIN restore and it was still stock at the Samsung Logo with Lock image.
I left the phone to charge the whole night and this morning when I turned it on, it was able to start properly with ODIN stock ROM.
I tried to go to recovery, and can only be done manually, and it was not the TWRP recovery but the stock one, with very small characters.
I tried to install Mint Jell2.1 right away but just reboots.
I realized that I might need to root it again and downloaded the Tool and re-loki'ed/rooted and installed TWRP.
Now, I am able to install Mint Jelly 2.1 and restoring all my apps.
I appreciate the comment.
Thank you.

Yeah, every single time I ODIN back to stock, I get stuck at the splash screen also. And rebooting to 3E (factory) recovery and "restore factory defaults" works great.

I am running out of options. I thought I am already out of this stuck on Samsung Logo with Custom Lock icon.
I had ODIN to stock I337UCUAMDL and reset, Ran Loki patch / installed TWRP, intermittently it will get stuck.
I flashed Shoshock 1.9, was able to reboot and setup basic settings.
I manually reboot to check if it was able to fix the problem, but no.
I am stuck again and don't know what is the next step for trouble shooting it.
any advise will be appreciated.
Thank you.
I got stuck to 1st boot image of Samsung with Lock Custom Icon.
I did format data/factory reset/clear cache/dalvik.. all of the wipe ootions.
I flashed a new ROM, successful, rebooted pass the logo and booted fine. I did not change any settings yet and I rebooted to check if it will get stuck again and sure after reboot, it got stuck again on the 1st image that shows up : Samsung Logo with the Lock Custom Icon.

I am having some weird issues trying to flash a custom rom to my Verizon Galaxy Note 3. (NC4)
I was able to root with Towelroot. Able to install safestrap 3.75 and have custom recovery.
I can boot into recovery, able to wipe, create rom slot, and switch between slots fine. (stock boots, slot 1 empty)
Tried flashing custom ROM to slot 1, flashing hangs and fails.
Tried flashing NC2 kernel.tar.md5 flashes fine but stock fails to boot now.
Reflashed stock firmware everything back to normal
Tried flashing NC4 based custom rom to stock, seems to flash fine (says some issues about unable to mount) Says to wipe and reboot, wait 5-10 minutes. Nothing happens and screen stays blank.
I will try to flash Original flash rom in a little, but does anyone have any other ideas?
Thanks!

Welcome to the international Galaxy Note 3 forums. Here we have absolutely no idea what you're doing because we have no need for Safestrap. Your best bet would be to go to the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3 forums here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-note-3/help and hope that someone would be able to help you
I got through most of the rooting process with some issues but I got through them...
In the mean time, I was in safestrap and went to wipe, then install MOAR but for some reason I might have messed up and wiped everything and it rebooted. Now I get the black Samsung Galaxy S5 Custom Powered by Android screen, nothing else. I cannot get back into Safestrap and I cannot get it to load Odin - it goes to maintenance mode instead of the other.
Step 0. Unrooted OA8
Step 1. Odin'd back to 4.4.2
Step 2. Installed and ran towel root
Step 3. Installed and ran busybox
Step 4. Installed safestrap, and booted into recovery
Step 5. backup was created!
Step 6. Added MOAR rom to install list and then wiped everything but SD card...then it rebooted to the black samsung custom screen...
**EDIT** For some reason the 4th or 5th time's a charm...I pulled the battery and one more time tried to load into Odin mode. For some reason this time it worked! So, I wasted no time and am putting the 4.4.2 back on through Odin and plan to redo towelroot, busybox, and safestrap...
**EDIT2** Well I was able to get it back to safestrap and then "successfully" installed MOAR 6.5, then rebooted and it went into recovery mode. So I booted back to ODIN and installed the OA8 kernel, thinking that was the problem. Now, it is stuck at the black Galaxy S5 powered by android screen. I understand it takes a while for 1st boot but I let it go for about half an hour and the OP says it will take a while to boot on the "clock" screen so I think something is wrong...ideas??
Black screen of death... anyone have an idea? MOAR 6.5 installed "successfully", went to download mode (ODIN) and flashed OA8 kernel , now this:

You need to already be on OA8 before you install MOAR. Follow these instructions to get to rooted OA8. Then flash an earlier kernel to get back to safestrap and boot into recovery. Install MOAR and then reboot. Don't forget to do a full wipe before installing MOAR.

So after getting kitkat installed and getting through safestrap, I need to install G900V_OA8_100%_Stock_Rooted_ROM ?
I did all this: 4. If you do not already have root access you must first flash the G900VVRU1ANCG_Full_Odin.tar (flash in Odin's PDA slot(AP in Odin v3.09+)), root with Towelroot (this version does not require internet access), install Safestrap, then proceed with the above process.
then it says to do this: 1. Place the G900V_OA8_100%_Stock_Rooted_ROM onto your ext-sdcard.
2. From Safestrap recovery press "Wipe" then "Advanced Wipe" and wipe everything but your ext-sdcard.
3. From the main menu press "Install," then select and install the G900V_OA8_100%_Stock_Rooted_ROM.
4. Once complete, from the main menu press "Reboot," then "System." Done!
when would I install MOAR then? and what about the Kernels? Sorry, I'm a bit of a n00b

After you follow those instructions you then Odin the NK2 kernel to get safestrap to come up again (hit recovery when it comes up) do a full wipe, then install MOAR. Reboot your phone and you are done.

PROGRESS!
I kept getting the black Samsung screen until I flashed VZW_BOA8_RETAIL_FIRMWARE_ONLY.tar.md5 (instead of the kernel only). Now I have the MOAR clock. So, assuming this takes 10-20 minutes I will hopefully be up an running on rooted OA8 MOAR awesomeness. :good:
I was rooted on 5.0 (0K3 stock rom), went into SafeStrap and did an advanced format on everything. Then cleared cache in phone boot screen, then factory restore. I was expecting to just be on a basically stock phone, but instead it just gets to the Samsung Galaxy S5 Custom screen and sits there forever.
I can't get to SafeStrap Recovery, I can't get to Safe Mode.
I can get to the maintenance screen and download mode.
It had the NK2 Kernel on 0K3 firmware, Android 5.0, G900VVRU2BPB1.
Any help would be really appreciated. I'm trying to download a stock 5.0 Kernel and Firmware since I can still flash from Odin, but I am having a really hard time finding any.
