I have a unlocked Verizon Galaxy Note 3, I have t-mobile cellular service, how would I get the update? My phone is not rooted, when I try to see if there are any updates, it keeps saying its not able to update.
I've been on T-mobile for a long time, but finally needed better coverage and switched to Cricket. My poor Nexus 4 is stuck in Android 5.0 hell, and I'm desperately waiting for the 5.1 update to fix things. Will I still get the OTA update now that I'm on Cricket? I wasn't sure if it's the carrier or manufacturer or Google that the OTA updates originate from.
hey guys, ive got an AT&T S4 I337 that I bought brand new that is unlocked. Its at android 4.4 and cant do any upgrades because im not on the at&t network (im in canada, using rogers) Gives me the wait 24hr error when trying to update. Is there anyway to upgrade my android os? any help would be great, thanks!
Before I get into my inquiry if there has already been a thread asking this please feel free to drop the link below.
So for about 3 weeks I've been researching that the n900v can be used on T-MOBILE US service because it has the bands for LTE service. I've also seen that some t-mobile ROMs have been up and running on n900v.
My question is, is the inability to root for lollipop preventing us from having more ROMs than just KitKat (And the lone lollipop ROM), or is there a lot of bugs when cooking a T-Mobile ROM to be a daily driver for the n900v?

Verizon note 3 on Lollipop will NOT take any other ROMS. You can only liad Verizon stock ROMs.

Hmmz so something in lolli and marshmallow stopped the n900v from working with other ROM variants. That sucks

No...the locked bootloader stops you.

Hi all,
Just wondering if someone has any information on nougat updates for unlocked S7 edge devices in Canada. I bought the phone unlocked, not any cell carriers. I recently learned that Rogers, Bell and Telus all got their update. That is why I was wondering where is mine.
Any information is helpful.
Thanks
Bikram
If your csc code is xac then its already out, was released on the 21st. Bell/wind got it first on the 13th or so, roger/telus/xac got it around the 20th, there's no reason you shouldn't have it.

you should get the update unless your phone was customized in some way not to receive OTA's.
You can get the update from sammobile and flash it yourself.
Thanks, wasn't aware of the "Smart Switch" software. Downloading the update as we speak.
Thanks
Bikram
