I'm providing a solution which was found by member kv123 to install and use D6603 Lollipop update on D6633
I seriously suggest you to wait for an official D6633 Lollipop update which we are not far away from it's release. I'm not responsible for any damage that may happen to your phone. You take the risk by yourself
At first step you need a rooted device and a recovery installed. For those who doesn't have any, use below link to find how you can root your D6633 phone:

At next step you have to flash the zip file of pre-rooted D6603 Lollipop firmware in recovery, provided in the below link (Wipe your phone before flashing pre-rooted. Zip including dalvick and cache, and do not reboot your phone before flashing radio patch in next step) :

i try many method but no luck in booting z3 dual in home menu.
this method my phone start normally and android is upgrading about 328 app,
to can enter to settings i can enter from the lock screen i swipe down the screen to notification and enter to the settings menu
the camera work from the shutter key, and the manual mode dosnt work i get errore camera not found.
when try to go to the home , or from booting to hme i get errore in home screen or home menu,
both sim working but with this errore i cant use my phone cz i cant go to any application.
Unfortunately, InitialBootSetup has stopped.
i try this method and it work.
i go to z3 d6603 firmware ftf .93 and i root it
it flash the patch to z3dual work , and both sim work.
after i preserve root of android 5 .690
my phone work perfectly now.
this is the safe method to z3 dual work in android 5 firmware of z3 d6603.

The only problem is the phone force closing when trying to enter the setting.
Other than that, everything works fine. Both sims work.

Solution, not yet. But i don't have any problem with choosing default Sim for sending sms, its just a restriction not an issue. About USSD its the only thing that is not working for me and i have left it till the release of D6633 Lollipop firmware
Wow it's great Everything is working fine 100% Awesome. In my country you had to wait more for an official update but it is doing everything :good:

But here is 1 thing i dont like... On lock screen on the bottom here is an ugly inscription: Sim1, Sim2 etc... But its only a cosmetic defect I am not using USSD

After syncing my contacts when a call comes in the call screen shows one solid color (for e.g. blue) and then the contact picture in small circle.
Is normal?? doesnt the call picture take half the screen instead of a small circle?? Is this happening for everyone on D6633 with this lollipop firmware?

If i got what you said in a right way, yes its normal and one of the features of Lollipop. If you touch the blue screen message of incoming call, it will fill all the screen then, and you'll see full-screen contact picture

Now I am confused!!
Anyways here is the a screen shot .... As you can see the contact picture appears to be in a small circle and the background is all blue.
Is this normal? I thought the blue solid color screen part should be filled with the contact picture isnt it?

Is this the way it looks for you or everyone else using lollipop with radio patch on D6633??
the reason I am asking this here first is that maybe its due to the different model firmwares being flashed...If this is the way it looks for all D6633 lollipop users then its okay other if this only for me then I will check in the lollipop thread..
BTW this is how its looks when you make a call, similar is the look for incoming calls

It seems this is bug which is appearing in the ported lollipop version ... I had asked this in the Lollipop for z3 thread and some users have reported that this is bug since the official lollipop version does not have this bug.
Any other users with D6633 on lollipop see this type of call screen?

I made this post to gather all Honor 6+ owners from KSA and UAE who bought it from souq (dot) com to share their problems, questions and experiences.
My experience is excellent with 6+. but when i upgraded it to lollipop, all gestures functions were gone!
No double tap to wake screen, no draw to open apps .. even all motion settings like flip mob to mute were disappeared

No gestures options at all after upgrading. May you call customer support to ask them about this problem,and when the official upgrade for uae and ksa will be released?
I think that phones provided by souq.com have a modified software(i can't understand why )
So all of MENA region custmores have a buggy update.
We should contact with local provider & huawei to get our rights

yes! .. this happened with me for just one time at the top left corner of screen, but it did't repeate after restart until now.

I bought my Honor 6+ from Souq.com UAE last month. As i'm residing in India and using Vodafone as my service provider but not able to access data internet (2G/3G/4G) in my phone (working fine with Wifi). It is displaying the 3G/4G symbol at the top but somehow its not working even after getting all the configuration done that is provided by Vodafone.
I tried with multiple service providers (Airtel/Reliance/Aircel/Idea) but its not working either, although the data net is working in another phone using the same SIM. Please help me , let me know if anyone else having the same issue.
I tried the B334 Russia, and it worked fine, but I bricked my phone after I tried to update to the marshmallow as per the following update link but I made one mistake that I did unzipped the 503 update.zip pachage and i only took the update.app file and put it on the dload folder, after that i was unable to boot my phone again,

Hey there, this is a Guide to Update the Xperia X Performance F8131 To the new Android 7.0 Nougat, also with a Small Review if you want to know what’s new, or you will wait for your region to be available.
I made this guide because i had an issue that i tried to flash the FTF via flash tool, but it is useless the flash tool needs to be updated before we can flash android 7.0 Updates. DO NOT TRY TO FLASH THE _39.2.A.0.327 YOU WILL BREAK THE SYSTEM OF YOUR PHONE. Also for those like me that doesn't want to wait for the update to be available in your region.
First of All i am not responsible of bricked phones by using this guide.
Review about the Software (WITH SCREENSHOTS)
Well First of All is that the lockscreen have a few New Changes for the notifications and the clock (its bigger Now)
Now the Quick Widgets in the notification bar are now small al of them.
Also the Wifi and antenna icons are slightly different
Now we have Stamina levels that we can Change to get better Battery.
On Camera we have the new Camera APP that Xperia XZ Has that can change many more things in manual mode.
Contact and Dialer have a few Changes.
It feels Slightly Faster than before, so you can check it up.
Thats all i can tell from now, we will see in the time.
Process to do the Update:1- You will need the latest flash tool available, you can download it in http://www.flashtool.net/downloads.php if you don’t know how to use this tool, please search on the internet first.
2- You will need the software update F8131 35.0.A.1.275 Customized RU you can download it here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxPbn7RHkJD1WElDV2xHMkhyMzg/view Thanks to [email protected]
3- What you will actually do, it’s to flash the 6.0 MM ftf on your phone for Russia because in that region it’s available to download OTA the Update for 7.0 Nougat.
4- Flash the downloaded FTF on your phone with the usual method (Remember to charge your phone at least at 80%, you will need that battery).
5- When your phone finished and booted, just connect to a Wireless Network and go to settings ----> About Phone -----> Software Update and click update and let it work.
6- You will do 2 updates, one to the 6.0 Update .297 and then the 7.0 Nougat update will be available.
7- Enjoy the new software Update
The flashtool has updates for F8132. I just tried the Russian 39.2.A.0.327 and it didnt work... Im trying the same update but from Taiwan... Hope it works I think its the Nougat update..

Hi, I assume someone much smarter than me will be able to point me to a Sony Xperia standard/stock ROM which I can flash with TWRP.
I had loaded TWRP and manages to accidentally wipe out the system with no backup (it's a new phone anyway). I found some ROMS from European telcos, etc. but would like to install the "standard" Sony Xperia ROM for XC.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
PS. I think it would be easiest for me to able to install it through TWRP.... but obviously, anyway to recover my phone would be great.
PPS. Still can access device with adb and Flashtool, but not from Fastboot or Sony PC Companion.
PPS. I have installed OmniROM in the meantime... but don't want to spend too much time on it if I am going to wipe it out anyway.
PPS. I am in the US.
Update:
I found XperiaFirmware. It's downloading F5321_34.1.A.3.49_CE.ftf. Per the download website, will take about 18 hours on average, but it is progressing better than that.
I also found XperiFirm tool which downloads much faster, but I don't know which version. My understanding is that US customized is for CDA version of the phone. I also ran across the post about enabling the fingerprint reader by downloading the UK customized version... But based on latest attempts to do this, since UK version has been upgraded to Nougat, this approach is not working anymore...? But anyway, I could give it a shot to try a European version which is still on MM,
Update: *Whew*
I used XperiFirm to select a ROM. I didn't know which ROM, but I was intrigued to enable the fingerprint scanner. Due to some recent posts that the original method of using the Customized UK (or as they would say "Customised UK") version no longer works as the posted firmware was for Nougat. As a workaround, some people downloaded CE version, but CE version has also been recently updated to Nougat. I noticed a CE5 version which still seemed to be the MM version.
However, I also wasn't sure what differences I may see in the European version as some posters were complaining about some cosmetic differences, so I downloaded Customized US even though I thought I read somewhere it was for CDMA network. I also decided to download one called "Commercial and Journalists" which was the same MM version.
I decided to install it first as I was anxious about trying to get my phone back. I was able to load OmniROM but since there were some known issues, my preference was to use authentic Sony firmware. In addition, I took some low light pictures with the OmniROM version, and they turned out really bad. Not sure if it was the ROM or what, but it was very disappointing. Also, I couldn't get root access to it. Also, even though OmniROM seemed to support the fingerprint scanner, I couldn't get it to register my fingerprint well.
I downloaded the Commercial and Journalists version from XperiFirm, let it unpack it, and then used FlashTool to create the bundle, not including fwinfo.xml or the .ta files.
It started up Android ok, but I noticed I seemed to have lost my TWRP. Anyway, while starting up Android, guess what? The fingerprint enabled software was there... and it works like a champ!
Since I seemed to have lost TWRP, I started from instructions again from http://www.stupdroid.com/2016/10/root-sony-xperia-x-compact.html and was able to get it back.
Then, I tried to get root, but following the instructions, I got the error ""There is no su binary installed" when opening SuperSU.
I then flashed UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip from https://download.chainfire.eu/696/supersu/
And now I have root access!
Whew! I don't know what damage I've done overall... and since I don't have a nano SIM card yet, the worst case scenario is that what I have now doesn't work as a phone (but I doubt it). After what I went through (accidentally deleting the system from my Android phone), I now have a rooted Xperia X Compact with the fingerprint sensor enabled. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good?
And, when I took some low light pics, they turned out better!

Yep!
Central Europe firmware does enables Fingerprint scanner.
After flashing you will get four ota updates in a row.
A security patch for 6.0 and nougat afterwards.
Help plz..

Enhanced 4g LTE mode.
I am using Jio 4g sim which will provide volte now I am not able use that option and I am not able to make a call, incoming call also not receiving.
Actually before Oreo update I was able to use that option which is available in mobile network settings ,but now I am not getting that option. When I search that option in settings its coming in search results but when I click and navigate I am not getting that.
I think viewers able to understand my issue :crying:
Kindly share your knowledge about these guys I really frustrated by contacting mobile network and Nokia support none of them are helping. I think you guys will find any solution for this thanks advance for your reply.

First of all use preferred network mode as LTE then it might appear there, also it because, TA-1000 is Chinese varient so this might have the issue with network band support, try change the network type as LTE
If doesn't work
Dial *#*#4636#*#*
Select phont info
Then preferred network type as LTE/WCDMA

Okay, so the problem is confirmed
Due to Chinese varient, after oreo update they removed VoLTE option
But there is still option
Try resetting your device
Hope it will work
If not

Download December nougat OTA and February oreo OTA
Put them into the External SD card
Goto recovery mode
If you don't know how to enter to recovery
Follow this steps
Power off your device
Now plug your charger
Wait for battery charging animation
Once you see the animation
Press and Hold power button and volume plus button
As soon as you see the android logo
Release the power button but keep holding volume plus button
After few seconds you will see a screen with written no commands
Now release volume plus key
And just hit these three button together, don't hold it
Power button+volume plus button+home key(fingerprint sensor)
2-3 times, and you will see the recovery menu
If not, try holding power and volume plus button for few seconds
After having the recovery menu
Goto the option, update from sd card, remember internal storage wont show here so you need to have the sd card
Goto the location where you kept those 2 files
Now first install December OTA
It will give you error but dont worry
Just restart your device
And you will be enter to the recovery menu automatically
Now again select updates from sd card
And now this time select February oreo OTA
Done, it will reboot automatically once it installed
One more thing after update reset your device or you will face some bugs
Enjoy

Whether there is any possible way without flashing device...
Its TA 1021 ROM whether it will support TA 1000...
And I have to confirm if we receive other updates from hmd for 1021 whether I can able to install that or whether I will receive all security patch updates..??
Else I any of your team guys having TA 1000 stock ROM with January update ..if you guys have please share that .kindly give me steps to install that....on my mobile then will be in 7.1 with January security patch. If I go for update and search I will get Oreo update if I want to switch I can able to switch to Oreo bro..

Look the answer is same, this is Chinese varient of nokia 6 so why they disabled this option i even don't know
Yes, this is TA-1025 OTA, and you will able to get the future updates also
No need to go back,
The problem is you device's bootloader is updated and downgrade could make your device dead or something else, thats why i preferred the above option to solve your issue
So i would suggest you to go with the method i provided above

Flash TA-1003 firmware (global version), it's full compatible with TA-1000, not use TA-1025 or TA-1021 (diferent phones).

I am with Feb patch now any steps I need to change or same process which you have mentioned
I am using TA-1003 and there is same issue. I am not able to call also. It was ok with 7.1 but it failed after Oreo Update. I am waiting for March Security Update but not sure if this problem will be sorted out or not!

Then I won't flash with TA 1003 even after flashing if it won't work then it will be waste.

I think 1025 is us variant whether it will support VOlTE I need to know after Oreo update 1025 is really good in volte function or not???
If is OK then I need files and steps to flash on TA 1000 to TA 1025.
Else I need another confirmation, I am in India .whether I can able to flash my TA 1000 to Indian os version it is compatible???

Actual Cause Detected: Baseband
Possible Addon Causes: ROM not supporting it.
So in case of Baseband( or you are not sure) please follow this steps:
Step1: You need to go back to stock rom again as baseband can only be updated by stock rom.

Step2: Missed the Step1?

> Search ADB drivers for Zuk z2 plus and install
> Search QPST 2.7.4x for Zuk z2 plus and install

you may have missed the info that baseband is beeing flashed through twrp since ages as well. I updated baseband only by flashing baseband.
The only issue where you need stock rom is to update bootloader.
But baseband can be flashed separately, no stock rom needed. Kindly check instructions on xda and zukfans.eu how to update baseband.
Anyway thanks for your effort to help people, highly appreciate it.
I did find it too. But its not available for INDIAN version as per my research.

but was not sure how a chinese baseband will respond on network etc. If anyone is trying i would love to know it too.
As far I know almost every one who has been using the phone since nougat custom ROMs have now updated the baseband and bootloader to zui 4.0.199 which is the latest baseband and bootloader.. so I don't see any need to further update baseband or bootloader as there has been no new release from device manufacturers.. this would be only going to stock and unlocking again..
I am not on Q yet so can't say if it's rom issue or baseband issue ..
it can't be baseband issue as it has been working till now on all ROMs .. the issue has come up recently in most forums .. I do keep going through forums .. so mostly volte is broken in latest build that's it.. that's seems to be fixed as well on the latest build released in telegram

For me, the baseband that I see is "M8996FAAAANAZM-1.70664.3.76387.1"
VoLTE is visible and I can receive calls on my Jio, can even make calls to non-Jio numbers. I just can't make calls to another Jio no.
And so checking around.

I have same problem but I fixed the problem
Just flash 2.5.104 St with qfill
Once boot zui put Jio sim make a call to another Jio
That's all ..
Now you can unlock bootloader and change any custom rom you want and enjoy volte calling

What is surprising is that everyone had been asking in past that for Custom Pie roms one need to update baseband/firmware as per latest ZUI 4.0.199ST which effectively gives baseband v1.70
Let me try a few more tweaks and check before last resort of QPST flash.

Quick check : you learnt of this issue of jio to jio call not happening only in Pie roms?
Can you tell me which are the past 2-3 ROMs where you had no problem of calling? And when problem started?

The truth is I don't have a Jio sim last 1 year
On that one year I switched many roms Oreo, pie,q
Suddenly while using my brotherjio number I couldn't make call to any Jio on evaluation x rom
That was the time when I know there is a issue

Solved : Jio to Jio Call Ended
So after trying all options, none of which helped in solving Jio to Jio calls ended abruptly I flashed via QPST India ZUI 2.5 ROM and the issue is sorted. Thanks to all for their support.
