Hello Guys,
I need your help. I tryed to install TWRP like it is showed in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAaK6m38ntw&feature=youtu.be
My phone stucks in the booting screen shown in 2:36
I don´t know what to do now
Taking battery out from phone and turning it on dind´t helped
I made a backup of my recovery with the app and I have the backup file on my computer
Well after trying a lot I went into the odin mode and accidently pressed volume down so my phone restarts. It actually restared but I still can´t go into recovery mode. Any suggestions what to do? I still have the backup of my stuck recovery on my phone and PC
BTW: I want the custom recovery to perform a nandroid backup, is it possible to do it without? I am coming from Nexus where you need it to do
Which version of TWRP did you install? If you installed 2.8.5.0, replace it with 2.8.4.0 via Odin and you'll be fine.

Yes it was 2.8.5.0 . Is there any issue with that version of TWRP?
Other than the obvious?
2.8.5.0 hasn't worked on the I9505 since release. Every time you try booting into TWRP, it hangs on the splash screen as you described. It's something that I believe has been brought to the developer's attention, but you may want to do the same.
2.8.4.0 hasn't had these problems. The main difference between the two is that 2.8.5.0 upscales or downscales theme resources to fit the screen size. Something in that code is reacting with the S4 and causing it to hang when trying to enter recovery.

Oh, Okay I thought it was my own fault and not the one of the developers. Thank you man
BTW: Can I use the app shown in the video to flash TWRP instead of using Odin?
I'd use TWRP Manager instead. It allows you to select which recovery to install.

I am in this situation right now as well after flashing CWM recovery via ODIN. Hopefully someone has an answer. Did you find anything?
Try to overwrite your recovery with Philz Touch. It's working perfect for G900 variants so far:

I was finally able to get the phone into download mode by pulling the battery so I just pushed TWRP to it to fix the CWM issues. I'll check out Philz Touch as well though. Thanks.

Great!
IMO, Philz Touch is more beatiful and more functional than TWRP
Hi guys - I had this same issue today. I'd also installed CWM and tried to go into recovery mode via ROM Manager when it happened.
Looked around and after finding this thread I managed to flash with Philz Touch and got it to boot. Managed to get it into recovery mode and run this new Philz Touch version of CWM and do a backup. However just before it got into CWM it still came up with:
1. RECOVERY BOOTING (in blue),
2. RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING (red)
3. Set Warranty Bit: recovery (yellow)
Then loaded into CWM whereas before flashing Philz it was just looping. Is there a way I can stop it from coming up with this?

I'm using TWRP and the same thing comes up. It only comes up for a few seconds so I just don't worry about it. With CWM recovery, it was locked on that screen.

I know that philz recovery is best solutino but when I am going to download philz it's giving this error:
Hello,
Unfortunately, as of this time, the main portions of goo.im have been disabled. Due to a finance issue, our CDN account has been suspended, and all files stored on it are effectively non-accessible. Due to some RL issues on my(Alexander)'s part, once goo started actively losing money 6 months ago, I had changed jobs a bit to help support goo. Unfortunately, this wasn't enough combined with some other issues that crept up on me. Due to this, I'm formally shutting down Goo. There is an offer in to take over the files and hosting from a generous sponsor, however, until the financial issues are sorted out, they are unable to adsorb Goo. It's been my pleasure to serve files for you all for the past couple of years, and I wish everyone good luck into the future.

If you have picked up a sponor account within the last two months, please reach out to us if you'd like a refund. It may take some time, but we'll do our best to get these processed and sent out. -- Thanks for everyone who's supported us over the years.

I just saw this, and honestly I don't remember. Remind me what's happening and maybe it'll jog my memory
First, thank you for any help!
I did look threw the forums, as best I could... I did see any solutions here that worked for me... saw some one another site.. they did not work.
I can no longer get into ANY recovery boot... Every time I do the buttons, to go into recovery... it show "booting into recovery" blinks, vibrates... and then boots into the phone in normal mode....
I recently had to flash it to stock with Odin.... which lost my root.... I tried to install TWRP , so I could root it... did not work... then used KINGOROOT, to root it, which it claims DID work (the rooting) , after two tries... and then it did allow me to go into "stock recovery" mode...
...so i then flashed TWRP with Odin... and ... now, again, I get not get ANY recovery mode to come up.
ARGH!!!!!!!
Please help??
I have a N900T.
Android 5.0
Baseaband: N900TUVUFOL1
I believe it is rooted now
As long as you're flashing the correct file, it should work.

I am flashing TWRP 2.8.7.0 which is the SAME file I used when I flashed it... a year ago?
I know that there is a new version of TWRP... but I have heard there are problems with the newer TWRP flashing ROM's....
On another site, someone said that the problem was that if you flash back to stock, the new (stock) bootloader has a line it it, to check that you can only use stock recovery file... ... >sigh<....
My "simple" project... to upgrade my phone... has become a night mare.....
2.8.7.0-hltetmo?
If it doesn't work, try cwm.

Got it fixed!!
Figured I would say how, in case someone else has the same problem.
I had already rooted the phone with "Kingoroot" , when I was trying to put TWRP on...
By downloading and running "TWRP MANAGER" from the play store, it was able to install it on my phone, and I am now able to boot into recovery.
Good luck!!
Danny
Hi, first of all, I'm new to all this so I'm not sure what I'm doing and I don't know much about technical terms.
All I wanted to do was to install CM12.1 ROM on my Note 3 Exynos. I was on stock Lollipop 5.0., rooted.
To start I had installed TWRP Recovery Manager from Google Play Store according to the instruction on the first page of the CM12.1 ROM thread. Then opening the app it asks me to install BusyBox (which I hit OK but nothing seems to be happening). Then on the very first screen I selected my phone model, then below I hit Install Recovery, which it did and report it was successful. Then it asks if I wanted to boot into recovery and I hit yes, and since then I have been stuck in a bootloop.
So I'm sure that I messed something up, but I'm not sure how to get out. I have searched through the forums and see multiple ways but I'm afraid to do anything in fear that I might damage the device any further. I am aware that one of the best solution is to flash the device back to stock ROM, however I have some data on this device that I want to keep, if that is possible.
Thank you very much for you help.
You recovery corrupted. Flash twrp with odin. If it doesn't work flash official firmware. You should not lost you data. Never use rom manger after this. It caused many cases of bootloop.

thank you very much. Flashing TWRP with Odin didn't work but as you said, flashing back to stock ROM still keeps my data. So thank you.
Try Philz Recovery .
problem solved. thanks guys. admin please delete thread.
Heyy guys, this is my first time posting a new thread
Unfortunately, my phone is stuck in TWRP recovery. When it was still working I downloaded Flashify. I don't remember what but when it restarted the phone, it stayed in TWRP recovery and never went back to normal. I tried wiping my phone several times and still won't go back. Then I pressed the option Change or Repair System File or something like that. But I put the wrong option on that menu and now it is completely stuck on the TWRP startup screen , I can't enter TWRP at all.
I tried everything that I possibly could. I even tried flashing a different version of TWRP and Philz Touch but still didn't budge. If y'all have any possible solutions, please speak up. My phone has been like this for about 6 days :crying:
I'm downloading the stock firmware of my model SM-G928F (G928FXXSBPIB). That's the only thing that I think that could possibly make it work. Do y'all think the same or is there something else I could do?
Go in download mode and flash that stock firmware that you downloaded.

Ok so now if you want to root your phone. first install twrp and make sure oem is unlocked. Then when you boot into twrp make sure you dont select that option at the start otherwise you will keep booting into twrp continuously. Next flash cf auto root and then go back into twrp and enable that option that was disabled before you rooted your phone. You should be fully rooted with no errors.
Hello ! So i'm bit stressed now cause i never had an unpullable battery before on my samsung.
So i just got from my cousin a galaxy s6 edge plus, and i want to root it. so installed odin and flashed twrp-3.1.0-0-zeroflte.img.tar
However now it kept being on the samsung logo. So i had to e press and hold the Volume down and Power/Lock keys on the device for 10–20 seconds to power it off. But it keeps rebooting, and now, it's only a black screen with a blue led. I don't know what to do, i'd really need your help. Thank you I'm so worried gosh.
update 1: i tried to force shut down by pressing the buttons and it used to display the samsung and carrier logo then be stuck on samsung logo, but now it just shows samsung galaxy, turn off and the recent apps et return buttons blinking. Kinda scary. I'm waiting for the battery to discharge, hopefully it will work I need your help
The zerolte is for the S6 EDGE, you want the zenlte
http://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxys6edgeplus.html
You should be able to hold vol down, home and power buttons to get into download mode to flash it.
Use the power and volume down button to force reset and when it does quickly press all 3.
Thank you for your time ! i did as you said, i entered twrp recovery mode and performed a wipe, but i'm still in a bootloop ! any ideas ?
EDIT : but i installed the new twrp over the old one might it be conflicting ?
I went back to 3.0.2.0 and don't have a bootloop issue anymore, it may be the latest update giving the issues.
Ehhh going back to the 3.0.2.0 didn't work either. I have the TWRP menu, have wiped, but i'm still in a bootloop. :/ I'm happy cause it's not bricked but i still use my phone...any help appreciated guys :<
So are you using a custom rom?
You can enter twrp to install/wipe etc?
nope i'm on stock rom and yeah i can enter twrp and install and wipe !
Like i just wanted to root my phone with stock rom, how can i achieve it ? :c

Just download the latest firmware for your smartphone (SM-G928x (Replace the x with your spessific model number on the back)) and your country from sammobile.com and flash it through odin. This should wipe your data and perform a clean reflash of the stock ROM. After that procedure it will take about 10 minutes to boot and it should be working again
sammobile is pretty slow is SamFirm okay ? And thanks i'l ltry this !
ok so i tried to flash the rom from sam firm for my SM-G928F SFR but it just shows up with a failed... any ideas ?
I had an issue trying to flash stock Rom back, I was trying to flash an older version and it failed, i downloaded the latest for my model and it worked. Are you sure you downloaded the right one?

I presume you ave the SM-G928F S6 Edge +. Just flashing TWRP will cause boot loop. Please see post and flash via twrp the section 12. This should stop the bootloop. Allways remember never turn of OEM locking if you have a custom recovery.
" If you only want a bootable system partition or readable data in TWRP:
Download dm-verity and force encryption disabler.
Without exiting TWRP, transfer no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip to your device over MTP* and flash it using [Install] in TWRP.
** If your internal storage is encrypted, you will need to use adb sideload instead."
