the phone worked before it got soft brick

Ok so, I was going to flash CM 9 v1 on my device, and when i was in clockworkmod recovery I noticed that the power button wasn't working at all.
I took out the battery and put it back and then it reboot itself and got stuck on the unlocked padlock screen.
Then i managed to boot it by pressing vol up and down at the same time and putting the battery in when plugged on the computer with the usb cable. This is the only way i can boot it. And after it runs a while it crashes and reboot into the unlocked padlock again. And this over and over.
Then I tried to go to recovery to reflash with the soft sensitive buttons and the fastboot screen doesn't do anything at all. If I press vol up or down to move around it gets stuck.
Got it to work a while and reverted back to stock rom with rom manager to see if fastboot worked again but nothing happened.
I need help to fix this.
I try to go to download mode but it doesn't work either. ADB works tho
Any suggestion??
(sorry fot the bad english)
i actually had the exact same issue a few weeks ago
it was an issue with the power button itself since i got everything back to stock and the power button still wasnt working properly
i had to send it to samsung repair center
they fixed it for free and it turns out the issue was indeed the power button
thank you for your answer!
i will send it to samsung!
Hi,
Ive tried to restore my LG G2 to stock becuase the GPS decided it wasnt going to work anymore.
Things seemed to go smoothly (after a lot of reading) but now with the stock firmware installed I have a bootloop.
Holding down the vol down and power button to get to factory reset doesnt work either, it used to.
I can enter download mode.
I have tried using the LG tools to upgrade the firmware and upgrade the recovery.
I have used the offline flash tools as well.
Im stuck
Please help!
Its ok Ive fixed it.
For those who want to know... the newer firmware has a different button combo for the factory reset.
Its hold down POWER and VOL DOWN
Wait for the logo
Then press VOL UP + VOL DOWN
viola!
i love u u r the best
I can't flash stock firmware because phone is not detected, installed 2 different LG drivers, didn't change the situation.
Some people asked to do a hard reset, when I hold volume down+power button, and then press home button when LED's light up, it doesn't do anything. Tried releasing previous two buttons too, doesn't work.
I have CWM installed, also a custom kitkat rom. Tried doing a factory reset through CWM, didn't help.
How do I flash a stock ROM now?

I think you did the wrong thing in hard resetting your phone. You need to press the menu key and not the home key. Paste this after youtube address.. watch?v=aE5sTWHXZBI
It shows you how to exactly reset your LG phone.
Never had this issue with any android device I've installed custom roms on. But when I had installed superman and rebooted it just went to a red screen. The buttons are responsive and sometimes a french voice says something. It's been like this for ~35 min and I can't do anything so i cant re-flash etc.
Does anyone have any suggestion? Rip phone?
Thanks!
Likely you flashed the wrong kernel, S7 Flat on Edge or the opposite I think. Try to force reboot your device with 3-button combo (vol down+home+power for 8 seconds) it should go into bootloader, then do the 3-button again and without releasing other buttons just press vol up at the same moment which phone turned off and go into recovery.
yeah that happen to me. I flashed 930 rom on 935. once I pick the right one..no red screen
I concur with Abstra and Uber, it's due to the wrong kernel choice in Aroma as I've done it once as well. I also did what abstra suggested, by rebooting with 3 button combo, going into bootloader and then going into TWRP recovery from there.
( Quoting abstra - Try to force reboot your device with 3-button combo (vol down+home+power for 8 seconds) it should go into bootloader, then do the 3-button again and without releasing other buttons just press vol up at the same moment which phone turned off and go into recovery.)
Then from TWRP flashing the Superman ROM again, In aroma choose correct Kernel, happy days...
Ok, so I tried to find a thread about this and I can't find a similar one.
It is the first time I make a thread but I am out of ideas and I don't know what to do.
So this phone is my father's and he droped it in water. I knew it was not water proof so I told him it is broken. But after 2 days I was curious and I tried to power up the phone. It did power up into recovery mode so I did a factory reset (it was charging). But after the reset it did not restart. I tried to hold pwr + home + volum up to boot into recovery but it did not work. Only download mode works. Yesterday I tried to flash a stock firmware and it worked but it still doesn't power up. It is FRP locked so I can't flash a custom rom.
Any other ideas? :crying:
