[Q] help on factory mode - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, can anyone help me on how to turn off/on the factory mode? I don't have the factorymode file tho

I fixed mine. I had an old backup from the current rom I'm running so just booted into TWRP and did a restore and selected the older backup and checked EFS ONLY and then rebooted and now it remembers wifi and no Factory Mode popping up so if you guys/gals have an older or current nandrpoid just restore the efs only from TWRP and you'll be good to go.! WOOT!!

[Q] Can't restore CWM backup...any ideas?

So my Nexus was acting really slow (I'm on 4.2.1), so I decided to backup via CWM and then factory reset, and do an Advanced Restore to restore my data. I backed up and did factory reset, but when I went to restore my backup, it couldn't be found. Apparently 4.2 moved the default CWM location to search "data/media/" and I didn't have my backups there (obviously). So I moved the clockworkmod folder from /sdcard/ to data/media/ and tried to restore. It gave me an MD5 mismatch, so I researched that, found a solution, and did restore. Unfortunately, that bricked my Nexus 7 so I had to restore via the ToolKit.
My question is…is there any possible way I can restore my data to my now factory-fresh (4.2.1) Nexus 7 from the backup I made? I have the backup and the blobs.
Bump, the same thing just happened to me and I dont want to create a new thread. Is there any way to restore a 4.1.2 backup from a device running 4.2.1? Thanks in advance
EDIT: I solved it by booting into CWM and then pushing the rom, full wiping and installing again

[Q] Help. Can't restore EFS Backup

My problem started when i tried to install a custom ROM. I was on Omega ROM v23 and all was fine but i tried to install other ROM and after the install was complete the phone turned off. I pressed power button but nothing. So i pulled the battery and the phone started. But my surprise is i have no signal and no IMEI??? I restored my nandroid backup from Omega ROM and my IMEI is back and signal but every time i turn on WiFi the phone reboots in Factory Mode and wifi turns off. After that i downloaded ES File Explorer to verify my EFS folder and is empty. So i said no problem i have my EFS backup. I did it manually and with 1 app from Google Play in .img and on tar.gz but the app doesn't restore my EFS backup. It says i have to use other app for that? However after downloading the app and restoring EFS it says i have to reboot but when the phone is back EFS folder is empty so no working. If i try to copy files it says there isn't available space. Please help. Any suggestion is appreciated.
PS: My model is N900w8 from Telcel with NH1 Bootloader and Baseband
Restore EFS through the restore option in recovery, or try rebuilding nv data via the service menu

EFS folder deleted and not recoverable from TWRP backup - Verizon Note 4 N910V

Guys i need help as I have lost my EFS folder. Summary of how it happened is as below:
Initially I had Note 4 Verizon version running Lollipop 5.0.1
I used a method to turn it into Developer Edition (DE) and I was successful in doing that.
Once got through that I installed customer Recovery (TWRP) and made a backup for it (including EFS folder and everything else)
After that I got SUPERSU installed and root access to my mobile.
Everything until this point was smooth and no issues until I installed XPOSED FRAMEWORK and my mobile got stuck on the boot screen.
After alot of hit and tries I used TWRP for Factory reset and WiPE DATA.
Since then I was totally lost in a boot loop.
I used ODIN with official ROM (downloaded through SAMMOBILE) for my variant and restored the boot but again my mobile went back to stock version.
Now the problem is that my phone gives me a message "FACTORY MODE IS ON ........................................."
Now my WiFi turns OFF automatically and everytime I bootup my mobile I have to enter passcodes for WiFi every single time.
I have again got it into Developer Mode and got the root access as well but when I check the EFS folder using TWRP, ROOT EXPLORER or any other software which has access to root files I can see that EFS folder is empty.
I even tried restoring the backup through TWRP (first time complete and 2nd time only EFS folder). It shows success but still EFS folder is empty.
Now I need support if anyone can either help me with the EFS file or help me restore the EFS file that I have available through TWRP backup.
In desperate need of help because I have tried every method I can find on this forum or after google results but none is working...
Any support to help it work will be very helpful and save me from losing my only source of mobile communication.
ThankS!!!

Find the efs file compatible for your phone from google and install it into your phone using Odin

SIM not recognized after restoring TWRP backup

Hi! I have a hlte/SM-N9005 with LineageOS.
Today I tried to turn on encryption, but then I was stuck in a boot loop. I did a full wipe in TWRP and restored everything from the backup I made before (including the modem partition).
My phone boots again (without encryption), but isn't able to detect any SIM card suddenly. Not sure if something went wrong with the restored modem backup?
I tried downloading a Swiss firmware from this link, extracted it, and flashed modem.bin and NON-HLOS.bin via Heimdall - this didn't help either, though. I'm kind of out of ideas now... Any idea what's going wrong?
IMEI correct ??
Phone Status > Status > IMEI information says "IMEI: unknown" :-/ I'm guessing this is supposed to be there, even without a SIM?
Restore your backed up EFS folder .
Restoring the EFS folder from the TWRP backup is what got me into this mess in the first place. There's probably supposed to be a /efs/.nv_data.bin in the backup, but there isn't for whatever reason. I don't have older backups anymore either.
