This is a question best addressed to Samsung as it is them who developed Touchwiz, not the Cyanogenmod team.
As above, no point posting this on xda...we had nothing to do with the design or implementation of any os or ui

Hey all,
Attached is a picture of the lockscreen music controls widget that appears when audio is playing.
As great as it is to be able to see and change songs from the lockscreen, there's the terrible, semi-transparent black overlay.

Now, I know this isn't device/rom specific (Same issue on my Note, Note 2 and Note 10.1 across both TW and AOSP/CM), but I'm looking for a way to modify the overlay, to make it completely transparent.
It seems pointless to even have the album art displayed if it's barely visible.
Any help would be excellent.
Thanks.

Well none of my installed widgets (non stock) had that overlay in fact my problem was that the widget (DashClock widget) background was completely transparent. Probably the developers need to implement/tweak options to modify widget look.
Hi is there a way to edit the decompile/edit/recompile system files to move the status bar to the bottom? I tried searching and all replies point toward running PA or CM based ROMs which we can't do with a locked bootloader.
TabletUI is preferred of course, but not feasible yet for us. An example of this alternative to TabletUI is found within CM7 settings of...
Menu-Settings-CyanogenMod settings-Tablet tweaks-Bottom status bar
and here's a pic of "Reloaded ICS" mod that does it as well...

I would like this feature as well. I miss Parandroid I used to run on my Galaxy Nexus. That Table UI type ROM would be sweet on the Note 3.
Can somebody please make flashable modified status bar for Android L preview version with this kind of icons?
http://androidandme.com/2014/09/new...shed-status-bar-icons-and-navigation-buttons/
Yeah, I know we already have that kind of status bar somewhere on forum but if you look closely its not, this icons are little bit smaller, at different angle and smaller font on clock, its looks neat. Also the navigation bar has smaller icons..
Here is the picture of both new and old.

should work on AOSP 4.4.4 it was based from KTU84Q SystemUI.apk
and for the navigation button, have you heard SoftkeyZ?
I am really confused by this and can't find an answer anywhere.. So maybe you guys can help me
Anyways ever since updating to TW Lollipop 5.0 (Factory reset and a fresh rom install of official rom for my device) the notification widget for music on my phone has adopted an oversized layout and takes up half my notification drawer.. I can minimise it, but everytime I play music the bug comes back again.
Here is a screenshot

If anyone has a fix for this issue or knows of a way in which I can disable the maximised notification that would be great!
Also, is there a way in which I can force the notification widget to default to minimised? I can't seem to find an answer on that either
Its not too much of an issue on my lockscreen as you can see here:
Thanks in advance for your help!
In case you don't know, this is a toast notification.

I'm using stock ROM v338. I have a bunch of apps that show me toast notifications occasionally during the day. I've noticed that whenever I have the keyboard open, the toast notifications are hidden behind the keyboard. So I'm unable to view the toast notifications when the keyboard is open & totally miss them. I have an old phone running Nougat & can confirm that this isn't the behavior in that, toast notifications are always shown above keyboard in Nougat.
Can anyone else confirm? I'm not sure if this is an Oreo thing or some bug either within the ROM or due to my setup.
