[Q] IMEI Null

Hi Guys,
I have a Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 and have IMEI null / null. When I dial *#06# I receive that IMEI null message.
This started when I turn off airplane mode and since then I have no IMEI and no phone communication, Wifi works fine and also all apps.
Now I tried to repair it with GalaxSim but nothing, then I tried the GT-i9500 fix IMEI null but when installing the phone got stuck in boot process (SAMSUNG icon) so I had to reinstall custom firmware.
Also when I dial *#1234# I have only 2 out of 3 codes: AP: I9500UBUEMK1 and CSC: I9500UUBEMK1 (same as previous the rooting and every test)
I've heard that there's somethign related to efs. Can someone please help me? I also took it to technical support (not a Samsung service center in Ecuador) but they also couldn't help me.
Please give me a hand in order to have this fixed

Download this and extract and flash it via odin by selecting phone. http://d-h.st/KvJ Make sure to turn off your phone Manually and check you baseband if it change to BMG9.

Nothing, I also don't have baseband information, it says Unknown.
How can I tell if it's hardware issue?

I dont promiss this will work but u can try coz u dont have nothing to lose:
- Download this FILE
- Open ODIN
- Extract the .RAR file, place the file in PDA [the phone has to be switched to Download Mode]
- Press START
- End! : -))
*EDIT: If u have error in ODIN, rename GT-i9500 fix_imei_null.tar.md5 to GT-i9500 fix_imei_null.tar and try again

Hi,
I did what you suggested me and once it finishes the installation the phone reboots and it gets stuck in the SAMSUNG icon. So It shows me first the phone information: Galaxy GT-I9500, and then the blue circle with samsung icon shows and it stops right there. It doesn't continue the booting process or reboots, it just stays there. If I turn off with the power button it automatically turns on and the only way to shut the phone down is to remove the battery.
This happened to me when I tried to do this last time and for solving I reinstalled stock ROM but it comes back to same state (no IMEI). Now I left the phone in this blocked state. What do you suggest me to do? Am I missing something? Did I run correctly the process?
--UPDATE--
I turned on the phone in the other mode (volume UP and home button) and then selected restore phone and it started and had to reconfigure again but same issue: IMEI null but different AP and CSC information when dialing *#1234#
AP: I9500XXUAMDE
CSC: I9500ODDAMDC
Is this a progress? What else can I do in order to get signal back?

Never came through such a problem but I read this link and it might help you. Dont know if it is correct I read it and just posted it here..... TRY IT ON UR OWN RISK I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING

Try root the phone, BACKUP your corrupt IMEI. BACKUP your NVDATA, Then full EFS12 rewrite, if IMEI is back then repair it by BOX, if not, then you have hardware issue.

it is a modem solution.

When i connect to kies3 i get this info
I9500XXUGNH2/I9500OJVFNG1/I9500XXUGNH (XXX)
i flashed with this firmware I9500XXUGNH2_I9500OJVFNG1_I9500XXUGNF6_HOME.tar
look at the difference . modem is not flashed >
two questions:
1- what is meant by the (xxx)?
2-how do u think i can solve the problem?

Fix this problem by flashing modem file via odin then use service imei on octoplus box...! 10000% fix

I got null IMEI after flashing from 5.0.1 to 4.4.2, but reflashing full 5.0.1 firmware (including PIT file) fixed the problem and i got IMEI back. Here is the link to the firmware:

Ive looked for modem files everywhere but to no avail

i think your EFS is corrupted bro.. dont you have a backup of your EFS?
cant remember where that thread is though
just search thread for the solution for EFS.. i hope i helped..

my phone in not locked . so my problem is not related to EFS .
i installed CWM , and tried to factory reset .
after that wipe cach and dalvik !
but the problem still persisit . my it resolve by flash the 4.4.2 again via odin ?

Did you try factory resetting by going to stock recovery? You will, of course, lose all your data but thats one of the ways to make your phone usable again.

Try
first wipe data
if won't help try with odin another install of 4.4.2 XEO

i removed SD card and sim card ==> flash it again ==> it start without any problem
but when i insert the sd and sim , after reboot , the problem happening again
does it related to SD card problem ?

I have the same problem but only with my own SIM card. I changed SIM and this message didn't appear. I tried this with 3 different SIM cards and everything was fine. The only problem I have is coming when I use my original SIM.
I also removed SIM pin and I don't have this message anymore. Try to remove pin request and try some other SIM cards.

U can't go back to 4.3 once u flash 4.4, check your IMEI in settings & match with phone box or under battery.

do u mean *#06* ?
sorry , i'm not exprienced user with samsung , how can IMEI code helping me ?

Trying to find out your EFS folder is corrupt,r u able to make calls? receiving msg?

Try a new sim card, com.android.phone error happened to a few people, new sim card fixed. Or it's possible because you have a 2G sim card, the phone is trying to pull data off it which isn't there

i had my problem solved
I i just got a acer liquid z200 and it came with that problem " Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped " so i solved it this way: when a make a reset hte phone asks about the language imput and the country i am in... so i am portuguese but i like to keep the phone in english do for the first couple ou time i went with english and englan for location, then i always got that problem... until i read somewhere it could be a SIM problem and the country. so i tried english for language bur portugal for country and it has solved the problem so far.
Hope i am any help for you guys.

[Q] S4 Problem with network WCDMA (3g)

Hi all, I have a problem with 3g.
I bought s4 i9505 and it was on 4.2, I had problem with slow internet, so I called operator and they told me to turn on WCDMA only in settings..
When i turn WCDMA only on, it loose my network (emergency calls only), and i have no network at all.. when i put wcdma/gsm automaticly it has normal network..
So i thought its problem in firmware, so today i fleshed 4.4.2 with odin.
Now i have same problem, no network with wcdma only..
I serached internet and i tried several programs for 3g, but nothing worked.. any solution ? thx

Some problems can appears:
1. Type *#1234# and paste here what appears. Continue with the step 2 if you have wrong CSC.
2. Wrong CSC. Solution: Install Kies 3 for know ur CSC (pic 1). Go to Sammobile.com and download the correct firmware 4.4.2 (correct region) for your device.
3. Flash again this firmware and let the process finish till the final. Dial again *#1234# and verify if all is correct like the firmware you downloaded and installed before. Flash again same firmware if not.

Seems correct but its better that you install Kies 3. Add here one screenshot of Kies 3 for avoid problems :good: and for verify ur CSC.

Might be a corrupted EFS folder.
I have had the same problem for 3 weeks now. I've tried searching for a solution here and in other online sites to no avail. I personally tried flashing a new stock rom, flashed some odd number of modems, tried factory resetting etc. Nothing worked. I'm afraid it might be due to corrupted EFS folder which I still don't know how to repair.

N9005 .. Bb: Unknown .. Imei: Null .. !!

this note 3 (N9005) lost BB and IMEI after flashing KK FW ..
so, i tried to flash another FW but still same ..
also tried to flash latest Modem and BB fixed but IMEI still (/01) ..
so, i went to EFS_Professional app and wrote IMEI from the back to phone ..
now phone has IMEI but Emergency Calls Only ..
IMEI CERT: PASS
what should i do .. ??
also, i have SPT and Z3X boxes and i can write Super IMEI with SPT or write CERT file with Z3X ..
but i don't want to change the IMEI .. i want to restore it's original IMEI.

1- Try re-flashing full stock firmware for your device via Odin. To obtain the correct firmware, use Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app > Menu > 'Firmware Browser'.
2- If that doesn't help, try this post.

havent any backups? There is a back imei folder

unfortunately, no backups ..
but as i said, my problem now with the network not the IMEI .. !!
and i also tried to flash QCN backup from another working phone but still same problem.

after many tries and wasting too much time .. i decided to use Super IMEI method using SPT box ..
so, now i have a fully working Note 3 with Super IMEI.

Super IMEI is an unlock method for new models which can't be unlocked by default methods cause it has a new security which boxes can't bypass ..
To unlock your phone ( ex: Note 3 ) you have to wipe EFS first then there is a list with a lot of IMEIs for every phone .. So, you can choose one of them to write to your phone .. Now it's unlocked.
But you can't write back your original IMEI.
So, i used this method for that phone and it fixed the problem.

IMEI null and Not registered on Network Problem

Hi every one , I had this problem since I flashed a bad rom on my phone and it brought my phone to Factory mode even though I was able to fix the factory mode problem theres still an IMEI null and emergency calls only problem wich I can't make phone calls and can't recive any calls as well:crying: , any one had this problem or know how to fix it pls let me know , I have the exynos G900H model

no have no backup :crying:

Use Odin to flash the modem of your respective model, do it 3 or 4 times to work well. Remove the tab "reboot auto" in Odin to cell not restart when flashing the modem the first time.
