Make sure you have HD Voice provisioned on your account https://wbillpay.verizonwireless.com/vzw/accountholder/services/displayProductsServices.action click on Manage Your Products, add HD Voice, should provision in ~15min
If you're not seeing Enhanced LTE, dial *#*#4636#*#*, phone information, scroll to turn on VoLTE flag, restart device or put into Airplane Mode
Now go to Settings ---> More ---> Cellular Networks and Enhanced LTE should now be enabled

Not working for me.....button in *#*#4636#*#* never changes to anything and I never have option in more settings
I think the key to getting this to work is to be on a 5.1 ROM.... I tried with 5.01 and the new baseband, but I think the settings are in the ROM.
Correct, you need to be on 5.1 for VoLTE
dissapears
i can get it on my phone but as soon as i go to use it i lose lte and then my advance option disappears. could it be possible my sim card doesn't support volte? I had to use a sim from an iphone 5 to get service. I think that sim is different from one that's in a M8 or moto x. Any input would be appreciated.
Edit- got it working by going on Verizon and removing hd voice and the adding it back. SIM card is fine..
Thanks Worked Like a charm. Finally the one major thing I wanted on the N6
Worked for me, but took about 5 - 10 minutes to provision. Thanks!
Worked for me, purchased directly from moto

Hey guys,
I have been looking several days for an option to toggle 3g <-> 2g but it simply isn't there where it supposed to be.
After discovering this article I'm wondering why this feature is missing in all wp7 samsung devices.
I really miss this option because I get at home barely 1 bar on 3g and thats not very good for the battery.
I thought that OEMs aren't allowed to customize the os on this level but why is this option not visible ?
Regards
I always thought that this option has been disabled by my provider because "3" doesn't have 2G at all. All GSM data is transferred via Roaming with A1 mobilkom.
Don't know, I've realised that my Omnia7 doesn't have this option but I don't miss it though.
worth a ponder

My boyfriend's Trophy has the 3g toggle located in settings. He's using vodafone. My omnia however is missing the feature. HTC vs samsung or carrier difference?
According to Orange it is missing on all Omnia 7s as it's missing from the Samsung software.
Thanks for your answers but nevertheless I'd like to hear why samsung did exclude this feature on their wp7 phones because I couldn't barely find any information about it on the internet.
It's incomprehensible and there we see that samsung failed once again with "their" software. Toggle 2g is an option that I really won't miss specially in areas where I have bad signal. I'm going to contact samsung to see what they say about it.
Regards

Would be interesting to know, but don't get your hopes high...I cannot remember any time Samsung answered a support question for me
My Omnia 7 has this setting. I have a 16 GB device from T-Mobile Germany running on o2.
My Omnia 7 also has this setting (Optus stock [unlocked] 8GB version).
Settings > Mobile Network
What I LOVE about these settings is that whenever my phone tries to access the internet and 3GB/Data is turned OFF, it won't force it on. Infact, unless you have Wi-Fi turned on, it will just say it's unable to access a data connection.
More than I can say for Windows Mobile, which always turned it on no matter what you told it to do.

Thanks, guys
So it's not Samsung's idea but, more likely, our provider's idea to cut this setting.
This is no good. I popped in my T-Mobile SIM into my Verizon Moto X, and while the option to add an APN is there, it will NOT save. This happened after the KitKat update as on JB, I could manually add APNs and use T-Mo's service.
Disappointed. Any way to get around this?

Had the same issue on my ATT XT1058 - hard reset it and the problem was gone (just in case - power off, hold Vol- and Power buttons for few seconds, then choose Factory (with Vol-) and select (with Vol+))
Still no dice. Nothing saves. That means no MMS support and VERY limited data speeds.
Bummer.
EDIT: Here's what happens without an APN setup

Fixed it.
You can't leave MVNO type at 'None.' I selected IMSI, and the default value. Finally added the APN for T-Mobile. I might have to play with it a little more. I then put the MVNO back to None. Sometimes it'll take the APN out though, so I went back into the edit APN screen and saved it again while it was reconnecting to the HSPA+ network. Ugh. For now, it's staying put, but it might disappear.
Hmm, my data is still gimped with the APN setup. It's like there's something in the system preventing it from connecting at full speed.
Voice, SMS, and MMS work flawlessly though.
By gimped I mean my download speed is 0.05Mbps and upload is 1.0Mbps. It's like it's capped on my end. At one point I did get 0.5Mbps, but I know HSPA+ is capable of so much more.
So, Verizon may not SIM lock phones, but they're doing something to limit data.
I have the VZW APN permissions app and VZWAPNService disabled too.
These were a couple things I had to get Advanced Calling 1.0 (VOLTE) working on my device. This is for either Lollipop or Marshmallow
Step 1 - Make sure you the feature added to your plan.
You can call Verizon and have them add the feature or you can do it yourself from logging into your account and adding it as a feature

How to flip the VOLTE Provisioning Flag
From the Dialer, enter *#*#4636#*#*
From the resulting menu, choose Phone Information
Scroll down to TURN ON VOLTE PROVISIONING FLAG
Click to enable it, back out and you need to reboot.

I didn't need to enable the VOLTE provisioning flag. I didn't even need to reboot my phone, the toggle showed up in the menu shortly after I enabled the feature on my plan.
it was auto enabled on M

Just because it worked for you guys already, doesn't mean it worked for me out of the box. I actually had to do this to get mine to actually provision
Three in the UK recently started rolling out VoLTE so I'm left wondering how the option can be enabled in the UK.
The VoLTE Provisioning Flag is already showing as off but I can't see the menu in Network Settings ?

You want the provisioning to be enabled, not off..... Also, you carrier has to have it enabled on your account and it working on their network
It's free for all customers as of the beginning of September.
From the screenshots I've seen everything looks okay, guess it's not enabled on international carriers in the rom.

Thanks. Always been meaning to look up what I need to do to turn it on.... But haven't really cared enough to do it
So let me explain what I'm trying to do. I am trying to connect to a Barco Clickshare (CSE-200) via wifi using the clickshare app and then open chrome and go to a website.
The Clickshare for those that don't know is a wireless content sharing device for meeting rooms. It's like a wireless access point but with no internet. You connect to it on your phone by connecting to its wifi SSID and password and then use the clickshare app to share content from your phone to a TV or whatever display the clickshare access point is connected to.
So when I connect to the clickshare wifi (which has no internet) I am no longer able to go to a website or use internet. My phone doesn't seem to be able to use my LTE service while the wifi is on. I talked to a guy at Barco and he said thats not normal. My LTE service should still be usable. My coworker who has the iPhone 6 is able to connect to the clickshare wifi and still use the internet on his phone from his LTE service.
I should note I am using the MSL/dun trick for hotspot.
Any ideas? Thanks!
Enable developer mode by tapping the build number in the about menu a bunch of times, then go to the new developer options menu at the bottom of the settings screen and turn on the keep mobile data turned on setting.
It's still possible that in the routing table on the phone the cellular data will be associated with a higher cost, and therefore the data still won't go over it even though it's enabled, bit worth a try.

I did what you said pitcherj, but no luck. I do now have the LTE icon at the top above the cell bars which before I didn't, but still no internet. Anything else I could try? I did restart the phone as well.
Nope, no thoughts. Without root you can't recost the network interfaces AFAIK. Maybe someone else has an idea.

This leaves one more update (it launched with June 2018 patch iirc)?
I got scared when I installed the update and calls had no audio (earpiece nor speaker). A reboot fixed that issue.

Yeah, same old story from them
I don't even have anymore expectations about the updates. The phone is already dead and Android One was basically a scam with no benefits over customized Android distributions.
Fortunatelly next month I will be getting a new phone.
There are network related issues with this update.
As soon as my phone switch to 4G+ (automatically) from 4G then Wi-Fi gets disconnected!! And phone won't try to connect with Wi-Fi. Then if i try to connect with saved Wi-Fi network manually, it won't connect!! If phone switch to 4G (automatically) from 4G+ then phone will connect with WiFi and internet data works as normal. I think 4G+ and WiFi dont work same time. Only one thing can work at a time. Still I'm not able to figure out this issue.
Another issue is, getting no call notification on screen. So one friend told me that he has tried to call me but I wasn't answering, and I was like I haven't received any calls as nothing in call logs too!! Upon this information, I've tried to call my number from another phone and he was right. No call notification appears on the screen, not even missed call log in Phone app. I've figured out solution to this problem tho. Disable WiFi Calling is the current solution. In Google's Phone app go into settings > calling account > select your network name and disable WiFi Calling for that network.
Before installing this update 4G+, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Calling everything was working smoothly. I'm afraid if they won't fix these issues then it will be a parmanent problem as not sure how many security updates left as part of Android One.
