[Q] NoBloat not working - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I updated my phone to the new lollipop and I rooted my phone and downloaded nobloat to get rid of some bloatware, but for some reason it's not working. I delete an app and it just keeps coming back. I used it before updating my to lollipop but now it's not working. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You should be more specific.
What "nobloat" did you download?
What app/apps would you like to remove?

Just re-flash some ROM, probably you've deleted some system app.

Rooted MDK with recovery - remove update notice?

Hey guys, I exchanged my ME7 for a MDK and have it rooted and TWRP 2.5.0.2 installed.
I want to try out stock MDK for awhile but am tired of the system update notice to ME7.
How can I prevent the notice from continuing to pop up?

First why would you run older software? Second delete FotaClient.apk, FWUpdate.apk and LocalFota.apk and the odex files from system/apps.
Just want to see how it runs... specifically watching battery life.
No problem with the apk's, I'll get rid of those.
Not at all familiar with odex files....remove all or specific ones?
Think I'm in the wrong forums...I meant to be in the Verizon SCH-i545 forum..

[Q] Sprint Galaxy S4 rooted - apps do not work after each update

I an very new to this. I have a Sprint Galaxy S4 4.4.2. I rooted it with CF AutoRoot. I installed the correct mod for wifi hotspot. After a week, the apps will not work after each individual update. I try uninstalling them. Then reinstalling them. They still will not work. This even applies to Maps. Where do I go from here?
Re root clean flash it with odin. Do a titanium backup first

not 100% sure but it sounds like you need to be searching for information about Market Links or permissions. sounds like the apps are not getting permission from the market to run, like you dont own them, so once they update they loose permissions. hope this puts in the right direction

[Q] rooted us cellular note 4 bloatware?

I just rooted my us cellular note 4 and I'm wondering what all bloatware I can uninstall. I want to get rid of TouchWiz all together, but I don't want to use a custom rom just yet. I'm using titanium backup to uninstall everything. Maybe a site that tells what all apps can be removed, best app to use to uninstall them, etc. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be awesome. I'm coming from a rooted nexus 4 btw,so that might give you some idea of what I'm trying to achieve. As close to pure android as possible haha. Thanks for the help!

deactivated apps/services and unroot

Hello guys,
just wanted to let you know.
I flashed the stock rom, rooted it and disabled evrythig I dont need/want, even services.
But as you know ota updates wont work with root, I decided to flash the stock rom again.
What I didnt know, that all disabled apps and services ae still disabled afer the reflash.
So I've got a nearly debloated stock rom with working ota updates.:good:
Yes the disabled stuff should remain disabled. I do what you did all the time whenever a new update comes out. Like the one that released for India a couple of days ago COGA. Flashed the new fw and then root again. All the bloat frozen via titanium Backup stays frozen.
