How do I get my Verizon galaxy S5 to stop telling me to update to android 5.0? I don't want it Until there's a darker just like 4.4 theme.
Here are instructions.

Yep, must have root
Thanks. Then I would like to root but don't understand the thread linked above. There's so much to go through and questions and answers. It all seems mixed together. I would need a step by step for dummies kind of thing haha.

Here
I get confused when there's something else mixed in. I need info step by step without anything extra. Also I have no SD card. Just my normal gs5.

You need an SD card to root.

Just got my Nexus 7 and rooted it with the Mac Toolkit. I went into recovery, flashed liquidsmooth and now the device is stuck on the liquidsmooth animation screen. Please help, thanks
Try to flash the stock firmware back on there -- doesn't sound like a true brick maybe just a bootloop.

I was freaking out because I couldn't do anything. Miraculously, when I clicked lock bootloader in the Mac toolkit that did something that now makes it go through.
To be honest with you now though, all I want to do is go back to factory settings the way I got it. I've been freaked out enough. It was a lot easier doing this on my i9250. How do I unroot and get back to the way it was when I took it out of the box?
wipe data then reflash the rom. if it doesnt work, redownload the rom and reflash.

The directions for all platforms are essentially the same, IMHO the process tends to be more involved on Windows becuase of drivers, etc. Here's a link to the platform tools for mac - extract them to a useful place where you can get at them from terminal.
Once you've extracted the platform tools follow the instructions in this guide skipping the bits about Windows drivers... the important thing is that you understand the process; executing the process takes less than two minutes.
If you learn anything else from this experience it should be exactly what Pirateghost said:

It's quite easy. Slow down. Read through the stickies and how to's on the Q&A and Development sections. Read through the entire posts of those OPs and you have ALL your answers.

I know this instruction is given for Verizon Galaxy Note 3, not intend for your device.
But did you even try it without success?

Hi all, i'm on a G900V vers 4.4.2, rooted, running Safestrap on Stock rom. I have a nandroid backup. I'd like to try and update to Lollipop and somehow restore my apps/data from Titanium backup. Is this possible? And if so can anyone point me to a good set of directions on what I would need to get this going?
Thanks in advance!

So I understand that there is a new update out and I'm wanting to upgrade to it. I'm currently rooted and have xposed installed. I was wondering if I will keep root and not have to wipe my device.
If I have to re-root it, could someone please show me the steps to take? I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

Yes, to upgrade to the newest firmware you will lose root and more then likely have to fully wipe your phone, just make sure you back everything up. The root method is the same as when you 1st rooted your phone, but I will leave you a link to the root thread. Always try to search for the answer's before asking question's. Hope this helps you out buddy Click here

Hey bud I hope I caught you before you took the update. I would read the stock rom thread for that update. Something about not updating the bootloader . I have not taken the update as of yet so I dont know about it but here is the thread for it. You might want to ask in there before updating.
