Home Button Stops Responding - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Since I flashed 5.0 my home button stops responding after a while. And also haptic feed back on softkeys. I have to restart my phone to make it work again.
Since the home button activity is goes off but i can still use power+home to take screenshots which means its not a hardware problem but something else.
Can any one please tell me what should I do?

[Q] Power button not working

Hi,
after unlocking and rooting my Nexus 4 I flashed the franco-kernel. I did these steps with the ToolKit. But now when I start my phone I can press the power button once and it offers me to shut it down. After that there is no reaction when pressing the power button. I tried to reset the Nexus but I still get the same error. Can anyone help? Thanks!
EDIT: My nexus just turned off the screen and I was able to reactive it by pushing the powerbutton. What works all the time is shutting down the phone by long pressing.
From your initial post it sounds like it might be sticking..

I don't think that it's hardware related. It might be a software issue. Sometimes the screen stays on for ever unless I open an app and close it again. It seems the phone doesn't know what to do when the button is pressed.
EDIT: When connected to PC I can use the button only to power off the phone. I can't wake it...weird

It does on mine. (on all my Android devices, actually.) I can simply take the phone away from my ear, press home and end up on my homescreen, with the call minimised to the notification bar, regardless of call mode.
It makes no sense for Samsung/Android to disable it, because this is a device aimed at a business market, and most would use headphones and need to check their calendar/mail during call.
But I am using Apex, perhaps it is a Touchwiz issue?

SAFE MODE
Power Down the OnePlus 2
Once Off, Press and Hold the Power Button Until the Device Starts Booting
As Soon as You See Android Booting Up, Let Go of the Power Button
Once You Let Go, Immediately Start Holding Down the Volume Up and Volume Down Buttons
Continue Holding These Two Buttons Until Android is Completely Booted
Once You Reach the Lock Screen, Let Go of These Two Buttons and Unlock Your Phone Like Normal

This worked for me:
Clear and force close:
- com.oneplus.fingerprints.service
- oneplus.systemservice and then reboot
Non of those solutions worked for me, any other ideas? Thanks

After loosing the fingerprint scanner once for about 3 days until it just started working again and lost it again after about 2 months of no problems until 2 days ago when I lost it again.
This is what worked out for me.
1.I disabled the fingerprint option.
2.Turned off the on screen buttons.
3. Reboot into recovery
4. Clear cache
5. Reboot
6. Home button is working again!!! ??
I hope this helps someone.

Problems with power button

Hey guys I've had 2 s7 edges the second one being my current one. They've both had problems with the power button, it won't work. I push it and it doesn't turn on the screen nor does it turn it off when the device is on. Has anyone else had this problem?

Mine is working fine
There seems to be a bug where the volume down and power button become unresponsive. Holding down power and volume down together will make it reboot and fix it.
I can confirm that holding down the power button and volume down even tho they seem unresponsive, still reboots the device and resolves the issue. Hopefully it doesn't come back
