Validus is looking for a dev to build a rom for the NOTE4. Any takers??? Its a great Rom, which I believe we can benefit from.

Not my source. I asked on g+ about a ROM for tmo note4, they don't have a dev to build from there source. I run it on my note3, it's a great tom, nice themeing too.

The dude is a brilliant dev.
He built the only true aosp rom for us hero guys and when I say built I don't mean copied pasted ported, I mean he compiled the entire build from the source code.
He has never asked for donations or even posted a donation link.
He's still in high school and I'm telling you guys a) he deserves our help and b) he can build us a true froyo for the evo
Donation commitments are already over $200, I'll be posting a donation link today to keep this ball rolling

Actually he didn't. It was built from source with CM's Help.
Also we still need the kernel source for the 2.6.32 kernel and the vendor files to build froyo AOSP. Untill that happens we will be stuck with ports.

I think op is justified in posting here. no offense to biles @ all i like your tuts for those that are just beginning and taking the time to do that is great and very helpful to teach those with questions.

No, it's not. We're waiting for HTC to release their source... Which includes Evo-specific device drivers.
Sweet. Now all we need is the evo source and we will have a working froyo ROM.

Still a few issues but the priority for now is to get it at a stage where it can be officially added to nightlies which will allow anyone to work on the code and submit fixes through gerrit. It'll be good to finally have everyone working together if they want to

It should be added to nightlies within the next two weeks I believe. Camera previews aren't working properly. Not sure about other issues.. I'll ask Jacob to post an update.

Not promising anything, but I go away on the 10th of August and would like to have nightlies for you guys before I go, as well as gerrit so others can contribute.

I'm not posting a lot here but this time I would like to say that I would be very happy and greatfull if you could port this DJ_Steve. I love my streak and I would love to be able to keep it for years to come... But for that to be possible we need it to be upgraded to a more efficient OS which I think ICS is.

It's only a one-time thing and can only be done ~3 days before the deadline.
If it fails then it fails, not much I can do about it.
