UPDATE: Samsung Canada sent us this timeline on the Note II upgrade: “The Note II Update will be available through FOTA in the next week. Exact availability will vary by carrier.”
You guys realize there is a dedicated AT&T Note 2 section. i317 is the model of the Canadian Note 2, along with the AT&T version.

It rolled out to Sprint's Note 3 three days ago.
It's been rolled out to the S4 and S5 by Verizon and T-mobile USA too.
Be patient.

So Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile devices got the update before international devices? Not that I really care abou the update, but this is...it's odd.
Samsung roll out update according to sales precepts, USA iPhone release make Samsung to release update before international phone, in my country U.A.E they release update if no new device being launched, after few updates for new device they forget about updates, if delay in update due to carriers approval how Samsung can relies update for newer devices along with other countries? Samsung don't care customers Simple.

Not really. US providers have a tendency to pay money for these sorts of things.
Don't get the point from a marketing perspective because US citizens cant get unbranded devices without a hassle anyway, and it won't make the EU users buy US devices either.
Sony has a habit of doing this, too, but on a larger scale. They tend to pay Google so they can put the competition on hold for 3 months. Bit awful that Google goes along with it, it's not as if they need the money...
Look on the bright side. The US users get to be guinea-pigs and pick out all the fatal flaws for us. Saves us the trouble.

Hi,
I have a little information about Note 4 versions.
I have a new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 N910a AT&T Unlocked phone. I wonder shall it work well in Middle east and Europe??
or there are something I can do to enhance the carrier performance.
thank you
Hi everyone,
I noticed just now that Galaxy Note 4 is available again for people who wants to upgrade their current device. I looked at the "spec" listed by Sprint and it shows the current OS as Android 5.0. I don't know when it became available again on Sprint.com but for awhile it was MIA. I am curious if anyone has grabbed the "newer" note 4 yet and whether it has been rooted or sim unlock for international GSM network? Thanks in advance for any response.
