Lollipop based ROM for S5 active. - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Am at a point to almost get rid of my S5 active for the lack of Android 5.0X based ROMS .
Wondering if there is any stable lollippop based ROMS available and any recommendations.
This is for ATT based S5 active ROMS.
Thanks

Theres no official lolipop update for the att s5 yet so theres no roms currently, we have th 4.4.4 update as of recent but i think all the roms arw still on 4.4.2

Not s6 feature ROM
Request is for S6 port ROM with android 5.0.2 or 5.1.1 as base and all s6 feature including fully working themestore.
like Darklord ROM for Note 3 snapdragon, AUORA S6 PORT for S4 Exynos, GLAMOUR ROM for Note 4 Exynos

Already asked Dr.ketan and pekaka but it seems they have no plan for that
Will love to have that experience

1. Just flash pekeka. It has S6 features including the theme store working. My GF has the phone its there. I'm guessing it is an S6 port cause on other ROMs no1 has been able to get the theming going fully S6. (Far as I know.) I have Note 3 on Sprint. But they are working on it.
Im almost not sure why u asking the question. Pekeka is good way to get the features of the s6.
In the meantime why not play with a cool keyboard?

ROM do not include s6 settings, contacts, messaging, settings, sytem ui and you can se its base is 5.0 not 5.0.2 so all s6 features stated below
no you got it wrong themestore not working fully on pekaka ROM ,not changing dialer, messaging, settings, system ui e.t.c.
AFAIK pekaka has no plans till mow for fuul S6 port

I was on tekhd for a long time but now I'm running stock mm rooted with a few xposed modules and customizations...I like a few of the mm custom roms but there is always bugs and broken things...so I'll stay "stock" for a while...

Oh, nice!
I have gotten used to root and some of the stuff I can do with it.
I understand what you mean though and I find it pretty cool that you can live without root.

Actually I'm pretty interested in the Nameless ROM now that you mentioned it, I didn't really know much about it before and didn't know it was for this device either!
I am very interested in this ROM and I just wanna know if you have had any bugs so far?
Nameless ROM + Marshmallow sounds like a very nice combo, but apparently Nameless ROM also has a 5.1.1 version available too.. So that is cool!
EDIT: Having issues with the ROM but I'll get them fixed hopefully

4.4.4 had some pretty thorough themes made for it. If you are looking for a rom to customize yourself I like Alliance. It wa's simple with the roms built in ui. Tekhd was also themed by pappa mag. His themes we also done well. Notification panel and dialer and toggles. Only issue I had was my gear vr wouldn't play Netflix without getting really bad av sync issues... drove me crazy... went to stock mm and then to overdrive 2.0.1 I think.. and everything is fine.. but there aren't any themes to flash for it so it looks stock for the time being....

Most Stable ROM for N900T

Hey, im new in this forum and im kinda tired of the old stock Lollipop rom of my Note 3. So can someone please tell me which is the most stable rom or Note 7 port with less bugs at the moment?

If you are looking for a Note 7 rom, I suggest AryaMod V2.0. In my experience it runs very well. It also rarely resets. (Only when playing intensive games overclocked.) If you're looking for a stable Lollipop rom, then I recommend CyanogenMod 12.1 running with leankernel. For Nougat, I recommend trader418's CM14.1 rom. For Marshmallow, I recommend resurrection remix version 5.7.1. I hope this helps.

I forgot to put in the links to the roms that I mentioned. They will be below:

https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=hltetmo (You might want to get this one quickly, as the infrastructure shut down. I don't know how long the site will be up for.)
The most stable ROM will be the stock ROM and many people, like myself, are happy with a debloated and rooted stock ROM.

I'm using Phronesis Rom N7 v4.1 which runs great but disables NFC. I really don't need NFC so I think it's not an issue and I love the ROM.

Thanks, both of you! So at the im gonna stick with the stock rom, there are many flaws with the customs roms and i need fully functional phone, again thanks!

Noob question - please help

Hi folks,
So my mother has a I9505 galaxy s4 (italian) and I want to install a custom recovery and rom for her to hrlp the device be more functional and fast. Can you please suggest which rom I should choose and what steps I should follow to install the recovery etc..
Thanks!
You can flash twrp from Odin and then you can use twrp to flash custom ROMs.
If you want a very stable ROM, you should stock with these stock ROM or custom ROMs that are as close to stock as possible.
That simple? TWRP and then the custom ROM of choice? Which ROM do you recommend for daily usage which is fast and possibly based off Android 6 or 7?

Are you familiar with Odin? Is the s4 already rooted? (Towel root worked for me) and that is done directly from the s4. As far as ROMs go I have tried almost all of them and ultimately I really enjoyed the tipsy ROM but it runs on kit kat.. Google just recently released Google assistant for all devices running 5.0 and up. So I went to CM 12 running 5.1.1 and it runs pretty smoothly. The most important thing to remember to always always always back up your device..ALWAYS LOL.
And when I first started to dabble in rooting I had the T-Mobile Galaxy S.. The first one that came with Avatar lol.. I'll just say this.. As long as it turns on and u can enter either recovery or download mode you can pretty much recover from and mistake.. Pretty much.
XDA has a great first start section for rooting. And most of the developers are very good at explaining the step by step.
I recommend getting very familiar with your recovery since that will be your primary source of flashing.. Because u can't just flash one! Lol once u get your first successful flash Ro a new custom ROM its like sex.. Gotta see what else u can flash to the device ( for example lucky patcher) and then you will start learning that the developers have some really cool stuff out there..
And CM does nightly ROMs meaning its constantly being updated!
Just do your research first if u don't know ask( obviously lol) Google Google Google lol and ALWAYS ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR DEV.
Titanium Backup in NY opinion is the best.. Hope I didn't get to off topic and I hope I helped.. If u have any other questions I will do NY beat to help and answer them.
PAY IT FORWARD AND HELP THE NEXT GUY/GIRL..

Yeah I agree, Whenever I have tried Nougat roms there are just countless of issues. Hope to see a 8.0 ROM some day!
