Hi all!
Does anyone know how to not receive calls on my smartwatch?
I know its strange but I prefer use my phone to talk.
I only want to receive notifications and SMS (all normal function except communication).
I know how to transfer on the phone during a call on smartphone's screen, but I want this to be automatic.
If I unselect "call control" and "media control" in the phone's Bluetooth settings, I loose the Bluetooth connection.
Also, I want don't use "media", because I use Waze and I need the sound on the phone otherwise the sound goes on the watch.
thank you
works the same as on the u8 and all the other clones
you MUST have either media or phone audio enable, otherwise no connection, no notifications
they would need to fix this in the firmware, if that is possible at all...

Could you please elaborate the solution. I'm facing the same issue...its very awkward to talk on the smartwatch, especially if there are people around you.

Download and install: Tasker app. Differents way to get it.
I don't undertstand why, but I can continue to use it after 7 trial day...
And you need to program it. It's not so easy. You have to search and to pratice in this app in order to understand.
Find in attachement, some screenshot of my tasker.
Only the 3 first profiles are need to stop bluetooth during call.
In resume, when tasker see a call, you stop BT and you set a variable to memo BT watch was ON.
If no call and memo BT watch is ON, active BT.
Sorry for my english.
Hi, I'm looking for a cheap smart watch and i have found this one. There's not much info about it on Google..
"Smart Watch A9"
Someone can give me a opinion ? Thanks.
Sorry, XDA dont allow me to post links , there's some info about it ... aliexpress . com / store/product/Heart-Rate-Monitoring-A9-Wrist-Wearable-Digital-Bluetooth-Smart-Watch-Devices-for-Samsung-LG-Android-Phone/1085663_32383810547.html?storeId=1085663
Bump. Anyone ?
I just received my A9 yesterday, and it is a pretty good product. All notifications work well with my Note 4. Callers can hear me loud and clear when in phone mode. The 240x240 screen resolution, although not 320x320 or higher like name brand models, is better than I expected. The UI is user friendly and easy to navigate. The heart rate moniter works, but I have not compared it to traditional heart rate devices/instruments, so I can't speak on the accuracy. The "lost device" feature works as well. Since I find myself walking away from my phone a lot when I'm home, I usually disable that feature because notification on the watch becomes quite annoying. I purchased mine from a popular Chinese distributor for $56 with free shipping. It took 3 weeks to arrive, but it was worth the price and the wait. Overall, it's a good buy. Anyone not sure about buying the A9, I say go for it.
It is a good smartwatch, enough some updating. how you can update the firmware?
I am having trouble with syncing messages and notifications. I can make phone calls and sync call logs but I can't find a way for it to work all the features with my S5. Any help would be great

My A9
Hi Guys,
Received my A9 today. Bought it as it was only 65 Euro and because I was curious as what it would be like as a 'clone'. Initially I was impressed by the looks, feel and the way it operated. This initial positove feeling was quickly followed by disappointment as the Mediatek Smartwatch app won;t connect with the watch. I'm using a Note 4 and although there is a Bluetooth connection the app which is crucial for many features and functions says 'connecting' but nothing happens. I see others here have had or are having the same issues. Any recommendations to get this sorted are welcome.
Ps. I made sure that my settings in Accessibility are correct and that I have the latest version of the App etc.
Many thanks,
Sly.

Have you paired it initially in the android settings menu under the bluetooth tab? That has to be done first. Or mediatek smartdevice wont find it.

Hi I paired the watch with my phone through the BLuetooth pairing procedure on the phone as I would with any Bluetooth device. The Mediatek App simply stays in the 'connecting' mode.
When i check my Bluetooth settings is shows that the phone is connected to the watch for 'Call audio' 'Media Audio' profiles and Allow access to 'Contact and Phone log'.
I get calls coming through on the watch and that side is all working alright.
I'd still very much like to have the messages showing up on the watch...
I think it is a good watch, but the watch faces are ugly as hell.
Can't we develop better watchfaces for this watch? Or just edit the existing ones?
I received a reply from the supplier which contained a QR code. I downloaded the APK App and thought I was on a 'winner' but after installing the App I discovered it was all in Chinese
They are now going to send me a link to the English version of the App which seems to look completely different to the Mediatek Smartdevice App that is supposed to be working with the watch...
Do you have the qr code? And can you add the English version here?

Hi, not yet, the QR I have is for the Chinese App I hope to have the English version tomorrow morning and I will share it no problem.
I really want more watch faces. Does anybody have an idea, how to do it?
I think the OUKITEL A28 or i95 is great too,and with a lower price from tinydeal.
All working
I've installed the 'Fundo Wear' App and it communicates with the A9, SMS messages are coming through, calls can be made and you can add some more Apps like Google Weather. It's basic but for the money I'm satisfied with what it does.
The App wants you to register with a website for your health tracking details but although I did I cannot login with the App as it keeps telling me my password is incorrect...and it isn't

I think you need to activate your account with the incoming email from Fundo. I did but I can not connect my watch with this fundo app. It doesn't see my watch. But mediatek does.

I've completed the registration and that is now also working. I did notice that every time the watch disconnects from the phone because it's out of range it is a balls to get it to connect again...
So after a few hours with an App that seems to be working with the A9 I can come to the conclusion that it doesn't really. When connected it's OK. It does some nice things but unfortunately the connections is dropped on a regular basis and every time the connection is lost it's a total nightmare to get the App to talk to the watch again.
I simply couldn't rate this as a finished product or something that should be sold as such unless there is another App out there that actually works with the device.
On its own it's a decent watch but that really isn't really very 'smart'.
I'll keep messing around with it and try different Apps and will report back here if anything changes...
Techmade Smartwatch
I've said goodbye to the Fundo Wear App as it was a nightmare trying to connect the phone and watch every time the connection was lost. I've now installed the Techmade Smartwatch App which seems to connect immediately and offer similar functionality. The App is in Italian but its simple enough to get round this

Hello everyone.
I own the A9 watch too and I believe its a great build smartwatch.
But, I really want to know if there is a way to update the firmware and how can we change these ugly faces, the watch styles, maybe to rearrange the icons?
Is it possible? How can we "explore" inside the watch?
Thanks in advance

Hi there,
I am having a problem with the connection between my phone (Moto G3 running Android 6.0) and K88H Smartwatch bought from GearBest.
I have tried multiple apps on my phone to be able to see the notifications from my phone on my watch.
The results are either, "No notifications" or "Currently not support" when I open the notifications app on my k88h.
What could the problem be?
Have you tried:

So does anyone know if the k88h and Samsung Galaxy S6 are compatible because I have tried all the apps mentioned Fundo, mediatek, OXO, android ware... they work for a short period then has problems connecting even though the are paired, and the phone apps fail to connect.
I got this watch to determine if a smartwatch is for me before I spent a small fortune on one. Now I am not sure if it is me or the watch. My office has limited cell coverage so I have been setting my phone in the best coverage zone and using my BT headset to communicate, but sometimes it tells me what my messages are but it does not tell me who is calling. I was hoping to get my messages and see who is calling via watch and use my headset to talk. I will take a kitchen sink to if I can get it. after two weeks I am just frustrated.
Dead batteries, please where to buy? Thx

Problems with notifications on Motorola Droid Turbo 2
I am having the same problem. My notifications will not completely show up and I'm only getting text notifications. When I attempt to view the notifications it says empty. However, I have tried this on several other phones and it works just fine. I have also tried it on 3 Motorola Droid Turbo 2 phones and all 3 phones do not work with the message notification. I saw someone else was having a problem with a Motorola phone. I have also tried it on an older Motorola phone and it worked just fine. Any help would be appreciated.

I have the Moto G4, and unable to also get notifications. If I view the Moto G4 BT settings for the k88H, it has no permission shown for messages or notifications, just contacts, and the audio are checked. If I go to the watch, and choose messages, it tells it failed to load.
EDIT: I was able to receive and send messages now. I went to the Fundo wear app, and went to Settings, notification settings, and was able to enable the Fundo Wear. It is not very obvious where these options are in this app. The owner's guide does not even discuss this. I had to poke around.
Same trouble. Moto X Droid Turbo 2.

I have the BT with LG 4 whichs pairs over the BT with K88H just fine. But my smartphone dosen't see it as a smartdevice at all. It only connects the phone ja the voice, no notifications at all. Fundo wear dosen't recognize and sync with it at all. Any hints? The other Mediatek app dosen't install.

Hi Pacosal. K88H is a bluetooth watch. So i was just wondering how can you install M2D reciever app in the watch. Can we just install M2D sender app and still receive notification on our k88h bluetooth watch. Is it possible?
Any updates on this?
I recently purchased 2 of these watches for my wife and myself. Overall I like the watches, but there are 1 or 2 irritating issues that seem like they could easily be corrected.
We both have Samsung Galaxy phones, mine is a S7 running Android 7, hers an S5 running Android 6. The text and email notifications appear to work as intended on her phone but not on mine. I get a notification and a brief view of the text, but it doesn't store them in the text folder on the watch, nor does it allow to reply with the canned responses. What's weird is that in my attempts at some work around, trying mediatek and m2d sender apps as mentioned and briefly got it working but the notifications were going nuts, almost like it was in an endless loop. When I uninstalled/reinstalled, I could not reproduce that brief success.
The second annoying thing is that the Fundowear app seems to completely shut down any other blue tooth pairing. If you want to pair to your car bluetooth while driving, the phone will start to pair and then disconnect. Turning off the watch completely did not do anything. Only thing that worked was uninstalling the app from the phone

Hi I have one question : How were you able to recieve notifications by installing M2D. Can we just install M2D sender app and still receive notification on our k88h bluetooth watch. Is it possible? Because as far as I know M2D sender app also required M2D recieved app to be installed in watch, which is not possible with K88H.

It seems like I had to use the M2D sender app and the M2D Bluetooth Manager app, along with the Mediatek app. I installed all 3 on phone, but couldn't install the M2D receiver on the watch obviously. It may have just been the Bluetooth manager app that was sending data to the phone. It actually worked insofar as sending the text message and storing text history, (which for some reason is important to me) but it kept dinging notifications constantly so I took it off and tried to reinstall differently, then I couldn't eve get it to repeat that brief success with the text messages.
The watch itself is solid for steps, heart rate, stopwatch, phone answering and even the Bluetooth camera. I have noticed that it will drain my battery on the phone VERY fast, so I only turn BT on my phone and sync for calls when I'm working in the field and don't have to reach in my pocket to answer a call. Riding in a car or sitting at a desk is just wasting precious battery life to have it on and syncing.

Hello thank you for the answer. I will try the same.
Text messages you were able to get successfully(for some time). But what about Notification like WhatsApp or Wechat. Are you able to read them? I read that you have tried with S7(android 7) and S5(android 6). So what's the difference why are you unable to get on S7 did you find a way out?
I am asking because I am facing similar problem with Motorola E3 (android 6), Motorola X(android 7). In both I am unable to get notification of incoming WhatsApp message or Wechat or Gmail.
Hi all,
I finally decided to go for the Finow X5 plus after reading you a lot, I thought AMOLED display was worthy, and it is.
I've spend 1 week with it and I have some "difficulties" , most on software part.
-I cannot pair the watch with my S7 Edge via bluetooth, I just can only tethering internet connection, but not pairing in order to get notifications.
I've tried every single app you recomend in other threads but the thing is devices can't be paired if is not for tethering, in connection"/Bluetooth I see my phone, I click on it but it does nothing,I need to click on the right side nut to set the tethering to connect...has anyone faced this issue before?
-Menu distribution is such a pain, to get the apps icon you need to scroll 5 times, not handy at all. I decided to install Nova Launcher, it works great, also de gestures are very usefull, but when using it ".vxp" watchface cannot be displayed and a clockwidget needs to be used as watchface. Is there any way to have Nova Launcher working in background so gestures still work while displaying ".vxp" watchface? that would solve a lot of daily use issues this firmware has.
Thanks for your replies

I have one question regarding FINOW X5 Plus.
Is it waterproof? Or just IP55/54?
I can`t find this info...
To connect to your smartphone you need to download app. You may easily find link to this application by selecting "Watch helper" app on your smartwatch and on the bottom is QR code with this link (tip: click it to enlarge).
Next, you need to enable Bluetooth both on your smartwatch and phone. Next, try to pair both devices. You'll propably see verification code, select "Pair" option.
You cannot pair your watch from bluetooth menu, so please open Watch Helper app, click "Select device" and click your watch on the list (propably mentioned as "X5 Plus"). Now youre connected to your smartwatch

Hello Friend, how are you ?
I have an X5 plus that came with GPS problem (which finds satellites but does not set). It is probably the NVRAM.bin file that has a problem.. Can you send me a copy?
I already asked the file for Finow, but unfortunately there is no support, no one answers.
If you can help me, I'll explain how to copy the file.

Have you tried a factory reset by recovery? With the clock off, hold down the power button + down button, when the finow logo appears, release the power button and continue holding the down button. You will enter the recovery screen. Using the physical buttons, go to clear emmc and confirm with the power button. This will erase all data from your smartwatch.

Dear sirs,
1. Is it normal that battery last only about 8-9 hours although I have put on flight mode and only enabled Bluetooth for notifications from my phone.
2. On X5 plus, how can I check what applications are draining the battery life? It shows the battery percentage only. (X5 can see but not in X5 plus)
3. How can I find more of the different watch styles and download to use?
4. Its a pain in the butt to scroll to the Apps or Settings page each time. I have tried using the floating accessibility ball or such but significantly drained the battery. Are there any other shortcuts button/launcher for round watch available?
5. Google map, how can I zoom out after zooming in?
Thanks a lot.
Finow x5 plus Smart watch suddenly stopped and will not turn on. Please help
The wacht suddenly stopped and the screen is Black. No image when starting the watch. Even connection on pc with USB will not response. Pushing buttons gives no action. Does someone has an idea how to restart the watch
Got an AmazFit A1602 watch, Chinese ROM. Set it up, updated it, played with PACEified for a few seconds (hadn't figured out how to OTA the stock ROM yet, so it hung-up when screen went off), went back to Chinese ROM, OTA'd it, reset it in English, and that's where I left it for about a week. Worked great, loved the watch. But, coming from a Gear Live (that wore out), I can't stand not getting my notifications on the watch...
So I dug further into it. Replaced the Chinese ROM with the English ROM - now it thinks it's an A1612 PACE. Kewl. Whatever. App works, everything works, repaired the recovery and OTA works (wellp, now I'm stuck on it, after finding the bootloader is now locked). But NOTIFICATIONS still don't work!
Tried it on a different device - my Nexus 7 tablet. Still no notifications.
Tried reinstalling, tried different app versions, tried everything I can find and think of. No. Notifications.
Do they even work for anyone else?
Another thread on the saga: https://www.reddit.com/r/amazfit/comments/61w4ga/most_notifications_not_coming_through_facebook
I might just offer "ad-free" for anyone that can actually help, throw a bounty out there and see if someone can help me. I usually end up asking the hard questions nobody can answer :fingers-crossed:
Probably you've tried this already but it's worth to repeat procedure.
After you paired the watch with your phone, you have to enable notifications in the app, choose witch notifications you want to allow/block and let the amazfit app to access notifications. Last part is usually under Android settings, security. Sounds complicated but it's good to have full control.
Notifications worsk perfectly for me.
Sent from my LG-V940n using Tapatalk
Yep, that's the first thing I try - but I appreciate the reply/bump! I think I might throw that bounty out there (if legal to do so) - I'd throw $15 at this problem to get it fixed. Hopefully that's how the donate option works
I enabled notification access to Amazfit app in the Android settings. Under the "notifications" options in the app, I get a miles-long list of apps on the phone, but they are all under the option to "disallow app notifications" -- no apps appear at the top of the page under "Allow app notifications". Presumably the top section is for apps that have sent notifications.
I also "disable battery optimization" and allow contact access for the watch as well.
My phone is a Huawei Honor 5x (kiwi) running CM13 (20161223 nightly) - but also tried on the Nexus 7 (2013) tablet running stock OS, unrooted.
Each app on that list have a switch on the right to enable notifications and move it to the "Allow app notifications".

Screenshots how should look like. Latest dev app does not have push notifications but has another tab. Of course, watch must be connected to the phone to be able to receive notifications. But that's obvious Btw, I didn't touch batter optimization.
Btw, Frys still has the watch on $30 off.
p.s.
Now I see that you're my neighbor

That was it!! Goddamn Chingrish... to me, it looked like that settings page was divided into two - apps that had sent notifications in the past, which I could turn off "allow notifications", and apps that hadn't sent notifications and I could "disallow" them from ever doing so. The Chingrish part is that they should be saying "Allowed" and "Disallowed" notifications... not "allow"/"disallow". It simply doesn't make sense to divide them solely by their switch setting... and since I had no intention of disallowing an app's notifications, I never tried switching ones from the bottom! Also doesn't make a lick of sense to disable them all by default - easily seems like it's malfunctioning. I just went through and switched everything up to "allowed" like it is in Android Wear by default.
Wellp, I got a SMS buzz on my wrist for the first time, and everything is awesome now.
Now I have a new problem...

Just sharing my experience. My notifications stopped working and I went through all the above to no avail. Finally I realised I must have accidentally turned on Silent Mode at some point. It may help to check on your watch that Silent Mode is OFF

Gmail doesn't push notifications to watch
Hi all,
I m experiencing this issue and I really cannot understand what is going wrong and why it does it...i recently purchased amazfit stratos English version and I was not very satisfied with the notifications capabilities..i could only see the first email and read it all way down but if a second mail arrived I could only see the gmail logo and a number( indicating the number of the mails that I have) ..but wasn't able to read each message...very frustrating...same for other apps...Viber and line messenger if I receive more than one message I can only read the last one....so I decide to go with the watchdroid app for the phone and assistant for the watch... everything is running smoothly now,I can even reply to messages (for some reason only sms messages not Viber or line) BUT I do NOT receive my mails from gmail...something that with the amazfit app I could...well I could not read them if they were more than one but the push service was working...with watchdroid gmail push notifications do not work....any help would be appreciated guys!
Thanks in advance,
Stratos
