I'm currently running Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat and would like to update the firmware to 4.4.4. It's not like I need it badly, but I'm curious in the process of updating rooted phones and bug fixes are always more than welcome. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 (modem I9505) from the Dutch provider T-Mobile. I would also like to get rid of that hideous T-Mobile splash screen that I see every time I turn on or off my phone. I'm relatively new to rooting and I've done it in order to make backups with Titanium Backup, record my calls with ACR and remove bloatware.
Information and tips are more than welcome!
I think you have more reading to do, because almost every thread has instruction on how to flash the rom.
Hi all,
My father has a Galaxy S4 (I9505) which is still running 4.3 Jelly Bean.
He complains his device is getting slow when not clearing all at recents.
The KitKat update should control the available RAM in a better way right?
I tried to update the phone, but it STILL says there's no update available while the KitKat rolout for the S4 has been finished for months, right? The device was bought in France, and is being used in the Netherlands.
It seems like this S4 is not eligible for updates, is that possible?
Even Samsung Kies says the device is up to date.
So the question is: Is it safe to flash 4.4.2 (no provider) to this S4 via Odin with the firmware downloaded from Sammobile? And will it wipe all user data?
Best regards,
Daniel
Thanks in advance!

Galaxy S5 G900F. No lollipop update available.
Hi everyone,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 G900F with the baseband version G900FXXU1ANCE (if that's important). My phone's running on 4.4.2 ever since i got it and the lollipop update has been out for i dont know how long. But whenever i go to the device's settings and go to auto update , it always says "Latest updates have already been installed'. The same thing happens when I connect it with Samsung Kies. I'm new to the Samsung Galaxy series and i need help to get it updated to Lollipop. Everyone i Know who has an S5 has updated theirs to Lollipop but I can't seem to get mine to update. Even the people online on Samsung Support Chat were saying that they can't help me which is weird. Can anyone please help me upgrade my phone? Do i need to root it or something? Or is there another way to install an update?
My phone is Unlocked but is unrooted. Please help me. Thank you.

i have samsung galaxy S4 I9505 and im having a problem to update my android version (4.2.2) because my i receive the message of my device has been modified , now i want to update my android manually is there an easy way to do so?
So I recently rooted my Samsung Galaxy S5, and I thought it would be nice and all. And it was without a doubt nice. However, I want to revert back to how things were before the device was rooted. I've tried using Super SU's "Unroot" feature, Kingo's Unroot feature, and several others. However, when I go to software update in the settings, it still says that my device has unauthorised software changes and it will not update. I know that are no updates available for it right now. I only checked, hoping to have it say that I have the latest version installed to reassure me that the root is removed, but it still shows up. Anyone help? Please?
