Hi all,
I'm running into storage issues on my S5 where I can't download updates because if not enough space.
I've removed a bunch of stuff but still run into it. I noticed in settings under storage that my "miscellaneous files" on internal storage is taking up 5.46GB! What is even stranger to me is that I go in there and if I total up the space of all of the items listed there I see about 2.9MB!
Any ideas what is hiding in my miscellaneous files and how to get rid of it?
TIA for any and all help!
anyone can have inputs about this issue? I have the same question

I removed some applications to regain some storage space but it is depleting constantly. I cannot figure it out why. I use SD card to keep Opera cache. How can I prevent the storage space from depleting? Thanks.
I had same problem. I realised that when iuse you tube hundreds of files download temporary in system/windows/you tube. So delete that folder completely. But you will loose your history. And see in the folder system/application data/htc/ htc album/cache. And delte all files except maptable and thumbcaches. These files are not needed. and it also weighs a lot.
Thanks a lot Urvansh. I deleted all the files in htc album/cache except maptable and thumbcaches as you suggested. The files I deleted had taken about 18MB.

low on internal storage memory?, read this:
It seems that opera9 keeps all cab files you downloaded in the folder:
windows/opera9/profile/download/
I bet you opera10 does the same.
I had about 79MB of application cab files there, using up internal storage memory, which I did not need, and had no idea were there.
I found them using 'treesize mobile', available on the marketplace for free.
Also, I checked the program files folder and found that applications which I had previously uninstalled still had folders in there with files in them.
Go check out Clear Temp which is a great little app that helps you keep most of those pesky temp folders cleaned out and not using memory resources.
I have a 32gb Nexus 7, and I'm having trouble with storage on the device.
I can't do much because I get an insufficient storage error. I've tried factory reseting the device
and installing a clean copy of Paranoid Android but the problem keeps persisting. What should I do?

Hello guys, my internal storage is running out of space for no apparent reason, so I downloaded DiskUsage to see what's wrong, screenshot is attached, it shows a segment called system data which is taking up around 4gb of space, I use Omega 10, aren't system files supposed to be sharing part of the 16 gbs available internal memory and that's why only around 9 are free? or did I miss something?
Hey man try using this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2468596

Did you transfer file from your computer and failed?. if yes.. Go to Setting, More, Storage miscellaneous files find the file that you transfer from your computer and delete.. that will make your storage free saome space..

I don't understand the question, as far as I know I had no file transfer issues, besides the data that was taking up the space wasn't visible anywhere on the device storage, anyway I've solved the issue by formatting the internal storage and re-installing rom, but I would still like to know what caused this to happen, DiskUsage now shows only around 400mb used as system data instead of 4000mb, so it's back to normal I guess.
At what percentage ?
Hi I'd like to know at what percentage of storage do we get the " Storage running out" Notification in a regular Android smartphone ?
I have photos set to save to SD - but although they're showing up in a separate 'SD' folder in gallery, they're not really being save there, and fill up the internal memory! Any ideas on fixing this?
