so i was trying to restock my phone because i couldnt update it and the camera was buggy and gps was buggy. i originally soft rooted my phone, but i removed my root but apparently not well enough because i could not boot into recovery mode and i could not reformat or do a system wipe.
wow thats a big run on.. you can see how anxious i am.
So now i turned to odin. and i followed some steps to restock.
Odin kept failing my phone would note : "sw rev check fail : [aboot] Fused 3> binary 1"
so i tried a few times doing things like changing the usb, different version of odin, removing the sd....
my biggest problem was when i tried to install a PIT file in hopes of restocking. well that didnt work and now its telling me
"firware upgrade encounter an issue. Please use software repair assistant & try again"
UGH!
i can still enter into odin mode...

hi i was updating my phone from cm11 m8 to m9 when things went bad e.g. F.C. and there was no way around it so i formatted eveything via cwm (i mean everything) i normally do this when flashing and i flashed EE 4.4.2 NC4 stock firmware which first failed but installed 2nd time. then i tried my root file which again failed and passed 2nd time. last i tried flashing my standard cwm which kept failing so when i powered up my phone and it keeps saying no os installed. odin has always flashed first time round for me but today i dunno what happened. i've been flashing phones for years and i just dont know what i have done wrong today. i have tried odin 3.09, 1.87. tried flashing with pit file and two difernet usb cables. xda fourms seems like theres no soloution or thye links in the threads are removed. cant get into recovery only download mode. atm im on another pc downloading another firmware which is going to take 2.3 hours which is mental. (free registered)
on odin it says "complete write failed"
and in download mode on left corner says "
ODIN MODE,
PRODUCT NAME - GT I9505

KNOX WARRANTY VOID 0X1
CSB-CONFIG-LSB 0X30
write protection enable
eMMc BURST enabled
tried keys which failed me ( no suprise there anyway)
please please is there anyone outthere to help me or atleast give me a link where i can download btu 4.4.2 firmware for free. many thanks

Hi mate ,
For the firmware go here:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
in case you softbricked the phone:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265477
ive read that link before and thats like a newbie guide but i did try but no luck. the problem i think is at the end of flashing odin it says complete (write) failed. im guessing the transferring files are not sticking on the phone thus installion isnt possible. ive tried 2 different pit files for gt i9505 and its still not working. im running out f ideas and really dont want to spend 200-300 pounds on a new phone. i have tried 3 differnt firmware one ee and two btu ones but same problem
yes yes! i done it. simple or maybe pure luck...i re installed usb driver and flashed btu and pit file and vola!!. thaks for your help btw

[Q] Need Help With "Firmware encountered and issue" after trying to unlock S4 for GSM
I have an issue with corrupted firmware after trying to unlock my Sprint SPH-L720 for domestic GSM service. I hastily went through the procedures as directed in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2530610. In hindsight I apparently should not have done this procedure due to the fact that my phone had the Knox kernel. (I surmise this from the ensuing error message I get on trying to boot the device since flashing. On boot I get a screen with the following details.
Odin Mode
Product Name: SPH-L720
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Official
Knox Kernel Lock: 0x0
Knox Warranty Void: 0x0
CSB-Config-LSB: 0x30
Write Protection: Enable
EMMC Burst Mode: Enabled
Start [224, 1440]
SW Rev. Check Fail : Fused : 5 ; Binary : 1
Above info is listed in very small print at top left of screen
Then in middle of screen...
Firmware Upgrade Encountered an issue. Please select recovery
mode in Kies & try again.
So here is what I need help with that I can not seem to find specific
details about. I need to get the device back in working order again
evidently by flashing the proper stock firmware and then restore the
factory image. I can not seem to find a thread detailing exactly how to
do this along with the links to all the software necessary to accomplish
the task. Surely I am not the only one who has experienced this issue?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Try this

Sent from my SPH-L720 using XDA Free mobile app
Edit
Sorry for the double post.
So i have been using Hybrid-X 3.0 rom for like 1.5 years and today my phone started boot looping would come up for 2 mins then reboot. Nothing i did helped, tried dalvik and cache clearing.
So I decided to try and just backup my files using twrp since i could boot into that just fine without it restarting on its own.
I ran into some issues where i couldn't copy files off my phone... it would just paste 0kb folders with no contents inside.
So then I thought it might be some version issue so I tried to update twrp to the latest I was on 2.8.7.0 and tried to go to 3.0.2.0.
After it installed i am worse off. It wont go into recovery at all!
So here I am now.
I can only get into download mode. Device shows up in odin but anytime I tried to do something it just gives me either
Fail! (Auth) error
In download mode i get this at the top:
ODIN MODE (HIGH SPEED)
PRODUCT NAME: SM-910P

SYSTEM STATUS: CUSTOM
REACTIVATION LOCK : OFF
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x1 (2)

Nothing like grinding away at a problem..
used cf autoroot and was at least able to load that with odin.
Now i am back to the original problem of the phone rebooting after being on for less than 2 minutes....

Try doing a full wipe, then using Odin to go back to a completely stock firmware from sammobile.com. If that seems to stick with no reboots, you'll have to use Odin again to apply cf-auto-root and then twrp. If you stil get reboots with stock, you may have a hardware problem with the phone.
Ending up doing a rewrite like you stated above back to OK1 version. Then installed the MOAR UN5 Hybrid.
All is well now except I am getting that activation not complete internal error 106.
I can still make and receive calls and txts. Any ideas? Or should I call sprint and tell them i just did a factory wipe?

Yeah I did a quick Google and it looks like "internal error 106" has to do with provisioning by Sprint. I think you should call them. See these:

Thanks for the input.
Called sprint. They tried the ## service codes and it didnt work... it actually broke my calling and data which i had before they had me do that. They basically said i have to factory reset again...
So anyone else have any ideas? I really dont want to have to reinstall the rom again from scratch...
Ended up doing the whole Moar rom install again and seems to be good.
I have a s7 edge I got through sprint. I flashed smg935u firmware, a couple weeks later, took it to cell store to have them unlock it, and they did. custom with unlocked symbol. I had problems with texting, couldn't change apn settings, so they told me to flash back to the sprint firmware. I was on smg935u android 7.0, and my dumb ass wasn't paying any attention and tried flashing to smg935p android 6.1. so now my phone is soft bricked and stuck in a bootloop. someone please help me. what can I do? I have tried various firmwares with both odin 3 12 3 and odin princecomsy. this is pretty much the extent of my knowledge. someone please help me get this working again. I keep getting the sw rev check fail abort fused 4 binary 2 and its hard to even get into download mode. I can not get into bootloader mode at all.

I know sometimes if you let the battery go dead then after charge boot into bootloader, make sure you got a good tar file for your stock phone it may be a bad tar file if you are getting errors.
Hmmmm sounds like you accidentally flashed very old 6.0.1 firmware back when it bootloader version 2 (which they eventually updated to version 4 so you can't go backwards) so I would just completely charge the phone and go into recovery and do a facorty reset then try flashing the latest Sprint 7.0 firmware and you should be good
Hi there. after recent combinations with my phone to flash custom rom (many problems, flashing, unflashing, changing roms bla bla) i had to flash factory rom. I flashed it to latest 8.0 oreo (5files+PIT) phone fortunately start working normal, but there was next problem. I cant unlock OEM. When I click on the slider, it comes back. I wanted to flash an older rom, I have already downloaded 5 different, even 6.01 (samfirm not work, I downloaded via updato, one rom 9h ...) and every time show FAIL in Odin, and on the phone in download mode it pops up in red sw rev check fail ( bootloader) device 8 binary 1. From what I read, it is impossible to back the bootloader to an older version
In general, the goal is to be able to normally upload TWRP back, do root and upload a custom rom, but as you can see the problem occurs at the very beginning, someone can help it ??
@edit. Now i downloaded one more stock rom from FRIJA program, flashed it without problems, but still cant unlock OEM. Guys help
