[Q] Samsung S5 SM-G900X demo unit help - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi people,
I was given a Samsung S5 SM-G900X live demo unit from a friend, he asked if i could remove the retail side of it and use it as a normal stock S5. After doing some research i have managed to remove the retail app but i am not sure if i can flash it to stock as the 900X is only wifi, no calls or texts, is this correct?
The S5 does have a sim card tray if this helps.
Regards
J

[Q] Using a MagicSim for a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with a Telstra Phone

Hi Everyone
I recently signed up with Telstra for a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. I have a work number and a personal number and don't want to forward the calls. I bought a MagicSim Elite Duel Sim adapter. Unfortunately when I have put everything in its right place it says No Sim. I have taken it out carefully and reinserted several times with no luck.
Telstra say the phone is unlocked but it is not recognising the MagicSim Duel Adapter.
Any Advice?
Thanks

[Q] Remove Retail Mode Samsung Galaxy S5 - Passwords Wont Work

Hey guys,
Bought a Samsung Galaxy S5 off craigslist recently and didn't realize it was in retail mode until after I got home and started playing with it Ive tried both of the two popular master passwords: 5444 and M729Q16K8546 and neither of them work.. Phone is for the Sprint Network.
Any thoughts on how I can remove the retail mode app so I can use the phone?
Apologizes if this has been asked elsewhere on the forum.
Thanks for your help.
iirc "retail mode" phones physically lack the modem chips and antenna. It's a Galaxy S5 Touch instead of phone.

galaxy s6 edge+ sm-g9278 and gear vr help

hi, i am totally new to samsung and android and ditched my iphone to get the new edge plus mainly for the gear vr.
however mine is a g9287 which is from hong kong (scammed into it) long story.
anyways i got my gear vr, hooked it up and get network error when trying to run the installer, apparently its because of the hong kong phone ?
is there any way around this at all or is it a case of buying a new uk phone ? i thought maybe change the firmware ? if possible.
thank you
i know its not going to be this simple but i have got to ask, would it be a case of just downloading a uk firmware and flashing it to my phone ?
I'm stuck on the same exact thing as you and I've heard that there's supposed to be an update to use the Gear VR
I'm on a SM-G928W8 running G928W8VLU1AOGD and when I plug in my device, I get nothing. I can use the cursor and the proximity sensor works but no install.

flashing an unlocked S8 with ATT firmware to enable HD Voice (volta) and Numbersync?

So i have an issue that my s3 frontier watch (att branded) cant be used for numbersync with an unlocked s8 that we have.. after hours in chat with att reps, they came to the conclusion that because hd voice doesnt show enabled for the phone, since not att branded.. the solution is to go to a best buy and have the phone (wiped) flashed with the att firmware?
Has anyone done this either at the store or on their own.. is there anyway to avoid wiping the phone.. or maybe some other workaround..
Thanks in advance

Unlock Samsung S7 on Sprint (Help Needed)

Hello all!
I bought the Samsung S7 phone in unlocked condition from eBay in US. Then I had to move to India for work related purposes and I was able to use the phone using an Indian sim. The phone developed charging issues and it was not charging. So I had to send it to US where Samsung changed the motherboard. Now, I received the phone which is working but it shows invalid sim if I put any Indian sim. It seems Samsung have restored the phone to original settings which is locked to Sprint network. Samsung tells me to contact Sprint. While Sprint says that they need the account details or confirmation from the person who bought the phone from Sprint. The eBay account from which I got the phone does not exist anymore.
I think I need to unlock the phone so that I can use other sim in India. Could anyone suggest what could be done here?
Thanks!
