Hi, Recently many users have encountered their phone dying with still 20 or 20+ charge left in their phone. Many have recommended toflash/root the device and sort this issue out. But there is another way of fixing this issue without rooting/flashing.
Let your OnePlus One completely run out of power, until it shuts down.
Plug in your OnePlus One to charge continuously, uninterrupted for at least 6 hours.
Repeat step 1 and step 2 for three consecutive charge cycles and your OnePlus One should reach 100% when fully charged.
One final suggestion, it might be best to do step 2 overnight to conveniently allow your phone to charge completely uninterrupted.
Hope this helps!
OnePlus customer support told me the same by mail after I contacted them because my OPO is taking a lot more to charge (2 or more hours)

Hi all,
I just installed cm13 on my oneplus 2.
I began charging the devices and it shows about 8 hrs to full charge (with the stock charger).
I changed the charger to a faster quick charge and still the device is slow charging.
Is there any fix? Or I have to go back to stock..
Cheers Gur
Oneplus 2 doesn't have Quick charge.
You have bug in Rom or somthing wrong with Your Phone.

8 hours? Yeah you definitively got a problem dude. One thing to know, if you use your phone while is charging, it will charged slowly. Try to leave 2 hours without touching it (twitter, facebook, whatsapp, viber, etc, they all have web equivalent) and see. But if it still continues like this, yeah, trying go back to stock.
Before cm13, it charged my phone in about 2hrs.
Change kernel to like boeffla or ben's then raise charge current. Stock values suck for some cable n adapters, especially USB charging dead to like 50-150ma. After raising I get about 750-1000ma on USB which is reasonable

This is the data I get when I charge the phone
Sorry can't load the picture I took.
I had this the first time that I've tried the cm13, than goes back to Oxygen and after some time when tried again, the charge time was the same of oxygen. Yesterday tried the vanillaos and again charge time to slow, so I assume that when you see this, have to make again a full wipe and reinstall the rom

And how to do that?
Goodmorning everyone. I have a problem, last Tuesday I put a new battery in my zenfone 2 ze551ml, but unfortunately I have noticed some problems. Despite having charged the phone from 0 to 100%, after 7 hours of standby the phone still reports 100% and using it starts to consume the charge regularly, but when I get to 35% passing in 2-3minutes to 30% and then to 25% and then goes off automatically with the 20% of remaining power. If I tried again to turn on it is fully discharged. How can I do? the first charge it remaining 8 hours by the manual, and each charge without QuickCharge lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes regularly. Can someone help me? thank you. Currently I made 3 full charges on cell phones

I can try it, but I do not think to solve
Fake battery dude, no fix.
I'm on the U firmware, but I don't think that's it. It was charing fine on U until a few weeks ago. Any cable I use charges it in about 4-5 hours. Even the fast charging charger that came with it.
I also have the Samsung wireless charger, which I use while sleeping. It has been on for 5 hours and is at 51%. The phone says it needs another 4.5 hours. My wife and I went to bed at the same time, both using the same wireless charger, her note 5 is fully charged, while mine was at 51%.
Fast charging is enabled, so I know that's not it. Any ideas?

Until a few weeks ago... did anything update? Did you change anything, add/remove anything? Have you been allowing it to fully drain to 0%? Its recommended to not let it drop below 30% frequently, and keeping it on the charger at 100% is not good either.
However, it IS beneficial to let it drain to 0 then fully charge to 100 without use (and powered off if feasible) about ONCE a month.
I'd say try letting it fully drain, turn it off, fully charge then see if it continues, if it does, can you do a backup and factory reset?

I never charge it unless it's about 15%. That was the recommended a few years ago when smartphones first became popular. It drops to 0% about once every 3 weeks. No updates or changes, either.

Last few days I've noticed my 6P is not quick charging. I used to be able to charge from 15% or lower to full in under an hour. Now it takes 2hrs+ to charge from any %. Today it told me it would take 2 hours to charge from 45%! WTF!? I didn't change any settings and have not flashed a new room or anything since I'm stock not rooted. I am on the O preview but I've been on it for months and this just started happening. Any help would be appreciated, tia
I'd probably try unenrolling from the beta and reverting to 7.1.2

Taking a long time to charge and not rapid charging are two different things. Does your display say "Charging rapidly"? I assume you are using the same stock USB-C to USB-C cable and charger that came with the phone. If you install Accubattery you will be able to monitor two important things: 1) charging rate in mA- the charging rate will confirm (or not) you are charging close to 3 Amps when your battery is discharged below 20% . I usually see ~2.7 A, but only when when fully discharged. -and- 2) your estimated battery capacity. In short, when your battery starts to take a dump you will see long charging times and more heat. Charge the phone a few times from fully discharged until the APP tells you the phone is full- not the phone. After fully charging a few times, go to the health page and report your battery's estimated capacity.
Ok thanks. Sometimes I get the charging rapidly message, sometimes it just says charging. Guess I might have to look to upgrade soon. Maybe a Pixel 2 is in my future
The past couple months I have had some charging issues with my phone. The first few times it just didn't want to recognize the charger or would only slow charge. A couple times cleaning the port helped. Then it seemed like the cord might be the problem so I ordered a new OEM one. The problem has gotten worse and happens the same with the brand new charger.
The last few days it will fast charge to 70% and then stop charging altogether. I can't get it to take any more than 70%. I had the accubattery app which had a feature to stop the charging at a preset value to prevent wear of the battery. I only used this for a little bit and turned it off. Then I uninstalled the app in case a glitch was causing it to keep stopping the charge.
I have a new OEM battery ready to install if the battery is indeed faulty but even starting at 70% I can't kill the phone in a day so I'm not rushing to replace the battery yet. I'm just not sure that is the problem.
The phone is not rooted and is completely stock. It hasn't been wiped or anything since I bought it new over a year ago. Anyone have any ideas?

Update: I powered off the phone when it was refusing to charge at all and it was down to 56 percent. While powered off it charged all the way up to 100% no problem and since doing that it will charge without problems. Seems like this fixed it.
Update: the problem is still there. Still not charging above 70% while turned on. Not sure if the battery is failing or if it's a software issue.
Does anyone know of any other forums people might be discussing issues with the OnePlus 5? This forum is looking quiet these days and/or people aren't having a lot of hardware issues with this phone (hopefully).

The op5 forum isn't quiet. If nobody has an idea or any possible solution for you, you won't receive an answer. Seems you're the only one who has this sort of problem.
If you have warranty, just claim it. That's the easier way. Cause when it's the logic board or parts of it, it can be expensive.
It's already over a year old so no more warranty. I'm just going to try replacing the battery when I get a chance. If that doesn't work I'll try a new charging port (already tried a new charger).

Have you tried using the Ampere app? It does not make any magic, but it can give you and idea of what the problem may be.

Yes I installed it the other day and discovered when I was plugged in above 70% it was actually charging but very slowly. But this isn't always the case because when I first discovered the problem I kept waking up with a phone at 70% that had been plugged in all night.
I'm not sure how long ago this started because I typically try to charge it in the morning after my alarm goes off since dash charging is so fast. Eventually I noticed it never getting above 70% so I plugged it in overnight and still didn't get over 70%.
Accubattery says my battery is now 82% healthy. Despite not being able to charge above 70 I can still get a heavy days usage or a couple easy days. So maybe the lost health in my battery came completely off the top of the displayed percentage of my battery?
Occasionally it seemed like my phone wouldn't charge at all no matter what the percentage so the problem could be worse, but I may also be dealing with a worn out 1 year old charger cable and a new one I got a month ago that is defective because when I couldn't charge at all with the new one the old one charged fine. So I'm still trying to figure this out.
Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk
i am facing the same issue, i keep plugging the charger in and out till it works ... don't know why
Now that I've gone back to the original charger it seems to be making it to 100% every time and no longer seems to stop at 70 but if I move the phone a little while plugged in it sometimes stops dash charging and starts slow charging. Before when I heard it stop charging and start charging again randomly while I was in bed (it makes that little sound when dash charging starts) it was sitting on the floor unmoved.
So I think my possibilities are 1) 2 bad chargers
2) 1 bad charger and a bad charging port
3) bad charging port
4) bad battery + 1 or more bad chargers.
Or any other combinations of those problems. I think I'm dealing with 2 issues and that's why I can't figure it out.
