Sometimes you do have to wait for an answer.please dont expect it straight away. Anyways, i dont know the exact answer but i'll make suggestion. Try to delete it straight away after a soft reset. see if that works. Also, try to delete it using a file explorer like resco or total cammander.
Let us know how u get on

Ok. Using resco file explorer, navigate to windows/startmenu/programmes(ensure u set resco to find/view all files)& delete the icon for the game.(assuming it is in your start menu) oh, if its in your game folder, then navigate to that folder and then delete it.

Do you mean the ones on your sdcard? Those can all be removed, but I recommend putting them somewhere safe (such as your computer) so they are there if you ever need to root again.
so if i delete everything off of my card i will remain rooted?

Yes, that is all in the phone now. You only need it if you need to re-root.
My question is.. what happens when an app is installed..
(i.e.) what all files are placed where and with what permission??
It would be nice if someone gives me a small mechanism..
Thanks in advance.
What are you trying to do ?

The files needed to run the app go into the internal memory of the phone.. On eclair devices it all goes in internal i.e the phone memory but in froyo you have the option to move it to the sd card..a part of it still remain in the phone memory though..
And regarding the permissions, they are showed in market when you are about to install the app...

nice.. but what i asked was.. for example
.apk goes to /system/app
classes.dex goes to /data/dalvik-cache
and the database, cache, libraries and preferences files go to /data/com.example.apk/
is that all or any other modifications need to be made..
i want the app shown in the app drawer..
also what are the permissions for each file..

Extract that file from your rom package and copy/move it to init.d folder, set permissions and reboot.
