KnockOff with Nova - solved

Hello,
For those wanting to use Nova Launcher and still retain the double tap 'KnockOff' feature, I finally got it working via the procedure below. Note that this requires the paid version of Nova.. Hope this helps someone!
1. Download "Turn off the Screen" from the play store (it is free)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=turn.off.the.lights&hl=en
2. Open the installed app and click "Enable Now"
3. Open up Nova Settings -> Gestures and buttons -> Double tap -> Shortcuts -> Activities
4. Scroll to "Turn off the Screen" and expand the options. Choose "Turn Off The Screen : LockerActivity"
That's it. You should now be able to click anywhere on the nova desktop without an app / widget and it will turn off the screen as the stock LG KnockOff does. Note that I began with the "Screen Off and Lock" app, but this ignored the LG setting to not lock the screen for 10min and forces immediate PIIN entry upon unlock.
Cheers
If you knock on the status bar, the screen turns off with nova....no special software needed
Can the knock knock be turned off completely?

iirc it's in the display settings
This can also be done pretty easily with Nova and Tasker. Love this feature. I almost never have to use the hard buttons on this phone.
Excellent..

command » "input keyevent 26"
use root » checked

You can try Screen Off and Lock from playstore, in Nova Double Tap Gesture activies take MainHelper from Screen Off and Lock.
Beautiful
It really works.

LG G2 "Notification Access" location.

Can someone check to see if this is available on your Verizon phone?
Go to settings on your "Phone" and find security, inside there find "Notification Access"
I am trying something on my gear watch and the stock LG G2. I am unable to find Notification access.
Notification access will let me list apps that can be notified of course. The guy who gave me the path to it wont respond with what carried his LG G2 is on or if its stock/rooted.
Below is what I am following to try and make this happen.

There is no "phone" setting. There is a "call" setting, and a "security" setting. But they are separate (not call> security> etc) , and neither have a "notification access" setting. So not sure what that guy is talking about. Isn't gear only compatible with Samsung devices?

Well....technically but where there is a will there is a way. :victory: I dont get all the notifications because you really need 4.3 to make the root and rom shine.
Just installed NotifierPro Free version and its settings - > service menu gives me access to the "noticication access" system menu that LG hid.

Roaming pop-up dial!! (solved)

Galaxy note edge korean devices only.
I am sharing this tweak and very helpful for international users.
After spending some time on the roaming issue, I finally found a way to disable this pop up. Turns out that it s quite easy:
1. Download the app Anycut
2. Launch Anycut
3. Select " Create New Shortcut"
4. Select " Activity"
5. Roll down until you find and select "Roaming Auto Dial"
6. The new shortcut is created - exit Anycut.
7. Launch your new shortcut and disable Roaming Auto Dial.
Hope this help.
Cheers
Thanks!
Thanks

Disable/Remove Daydream completely,

Nexus player rooted on latest CM build 12/23/15. ( cm-12.1-20151223-NIGHTLY-fugu.zip )
I want to disable/remove daydream completely, I don't need nor want to use it. It doesn't seem to have an option to turn off completely, only delay up to 1 hour max.? I use an app 24/7 on this (thinkorswim) but yeah.. daydream gets in the way every hour and have to wake. Any clue? Hoping for a possible quick command line fix. Thanks
* Yes, I have sleep mode off in the dev settings, I just want to remove/disable daydream.
Kind of hilarious nobody has a clue how to disable a screensaver... Interesting issue
Menu Button -> Manage Apps -> Swipe to "All" -> Scroll to "Basic Daydreams" -> Tap on it -> Tap on the button on the top right "Disable" near the button "Force Stop" on the left.
You can uninstall using any app in the Google Play Store with the search key: "Root Uninstaller"
Since it´s a system-App you may encounter problems with daily usage of Android if it´s missing.

Disabled apps not showing in application manager

I have disabled the stock messaging app on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge as I have been using Textra instead.
However I now want to enable messages again but have found that its not showing in the disabled apps in the application manager.
I have followed these steps but as I said, there are no disabled apps showing. I'm running Android 7.0 and not rooted. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this please??
Launch the Settings Application.
Scroll Down and Tap on the 'Applications' Option.
Then Tap on the 'Application Manager' Option.
Tap the 'All Apps' Drop Down Menu.
Tap on the 'Disabled' Option.
Locate and Tap on the Application You Want to Enable.
Then Tap on the 'Enable' Button.
Did you disable it in the app manager, or using a third party tool like Package Disabler?

did you try to go on developer mode and tap on "disabled apps" at the bottom of the menu?
If you try there maybe you will find all the stuffs you're looking for
Thanks for your replies but gave up and did a factory reset! I will bare those options in mind the next time I have a similar problem Thanks again
