Vlingo block unauthorized device access, But try to do like this...
****FULL GUIDE ON HOW TO GET S-VOICE TO WORK ON YOUR DEVICE****
you will need to root your ics device (stock ics or maybe an ics rom) once its rooted you need root explorer , download the apk file to a memory card , navigate to the app , change permissons there and then to rw-r-r then once thats done move it to system/app ( its apparent s-voice works better with your device if your device recognises it as a system app rather than just a normal app) restsart your device , power it back on and boot into root explorer and go to /system/build.prop hold it down and select "open in text editor" scroll down to "ro.product.model=" and change it to this exactly as i write it "GT-I9300" (should appear twice enter the same data twice) (this is to stop the "network error" that samsung have loaded to all their servers to stop any phone other than the S3 to be declined by their voice servers) click "save and exit" reboot & thats you (if you have problems on the GT-I9100 copying the file to the "system/app" folder (as only like 15-20MB is avalable in that folder) you will have to delete some apps , i deleted vilingo and youtube and pasted "s-voice" , i then opened it and went through the setup , clicked done and restarted. once restarted open app and go through tutorial. once this is done s-voice should work. **YOU WILL NEED TO BE ROOTED & ON STOCK ICS (preferably but if your on a ics rom it should still work but dont expect too much)** Gingerbread will not work (Android 2.3- and so on). This is known to work on the - Htc one Htc One x - Htc Desire with an ics rom - Galaxy Nexus - Samsung Galaxy S2 - Htc Sensation - if you follow my steps correctly you should get it to work fine on your device (but ofcourse you may get some problems as you are changing the buildprop on your device to which your phone isnt , this may cause problems if your on a complete different manufacturer , for an example changing the build prop on a Samsung Galaxy GT-I9100 it wont be as bad as its still a samsung device and only an upgraded model of the GT-19100 (the 19300 am talking about) but if your on a htc and you change the build prop it can cause major problems on your device and if you notice this change back the build prop to whatever text was there before you changed it.S-voice is pretty buggy so dont expect much but if your an android user and would like to give it a shot knock yourself out .- this is the full guide on how to install it without any flaws or "s-voice is not responding" messages.

Hello guys,
I recently found out that the "Kies via Wi-Fi" entry under "Settings>Connections Tab" is causing a FC to "Settings". I guess at a given time I've done something and removed/uninstalled the Kies Bloatware either by using Root Explorer or Titanium Backup, I'm not sure and I can't remember. I've tried to reinstall the "Kies Wi-Fi" app from the Google PlayStore and it did actually installed and found it working, however the nasty shortcut in Settings still causes FC-es. Is there any way to get rid of this entry at all? I don't intend using Kies at all and I'd really like to see that option gone.
I saw a thread in the Dev and Hacking section, however I'm not experienced enough to do it myself, so I ask here for help:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2184207
And these are the files I extracted from my device.. apparently there's no "Settings.apk" in my "/system/app" folder. But there is SecSettings.apk.....
SecSettings.apk - https://www.dropbox.com/s/pbeua595rsym22p/SecSettings.apk
framework-res.apk - https://www.dropbox.com/s/xzog2xfxnc4gsso/framework-res.apk
framework.jar - https://www.dropbox.com/s/t0xawazgheiemxg/framework.jar
framework2.jar - https://www.dropbox.com/s/mb470l2z2epu9vu/framework2.jar
I noticed that in SecSettings.pak > res > xml there is a file called connection_headers.xml which might be the key, but trying to open it with Notepad++ everything was full with meaningless weird symbols, except the 4th row which actually mention "kies via wi-fi".
I'll be very thankful if there's any way to remove this.. "thing" from my phone. I'm not familiar with ADB, but I surely can flash a .zip with CWM. :cyclops:
faily.. wrong thread.. sorry
Hi guys, I'm giving up on CyanogenMod. It is slimmer but it has more problems on Galaxy Note 10.1. If you have answer concerning the SDCard problem, please reply to my topic there.
Anyway, still I want to trim all those bloatwares from my device, so I did couple of researches, combining articles and tutorials on trimming roms on other devices (Note 1, 2, 3 and some other devices like sony)
The result? So far it's pretty stable and functional. Phone, bluetooth, wifi, sms, video call, stylus pressure sensitivity etc, all working just fine.
I also had several games, emulators and some graphic apps installed and running without any problem. No crashes so far.
I'll report more if there's anything came up. But I'm pretty happy with it now.
Might work on other tab/note variants too. So here it is :
1. Root your stock, using any method you want (I'm using Odin + ClockworkMod + CF-Auto-Root)
2. Use root file explorer of your choice and delete everything (or you can add .old extension if you had doubts, or maybe everyone's favorite, using freeze in Titanium Backup) in system/app EXCEPT THESE :

If you find any similar spreadsheet for other devices (Sony, HTC, or Motorola and probably even chinese handsets), or minimalist custom ROMs, please let me know, so I can do further comparison, and fetching more infos on the apks. Might just as well create a universal list for it. If I get my hands on new handsets, I'll probably do this too.
Note, from my list above, I deleted SamsungIME.apk (the default keyboard) so if you're doing factory reset you won't be able to type anything. I have myself a hardware keyboard to do the intial setups and such. But after that I used SwiftKey for my daily needs.
If you don't have any hardware keyboard at your disposal, leave it. You can delete it after you installed 3rd party keyboard.
I removed camera (SamsungCamera.apk) as well since I didn't use it much on my tablet. You can leave it if you want to, or use third party apps for it.
For the browser, I installed Chrome afterwards, since it have much more features compared to the stock/built in browser.
As for the multimedia player I use MXPlayerPro, fetched from Google Play as well
With this setup, from 345 apks/odexes I'm left with only about 78 apks/odexes. And it feels blazing fast.
that's 267 bloatwares/junks within your device, even if it's not coming from some service provider (OEM)
From 1 gb space used in factory settings to about 200 mb.

Multi Window Icon Removal :
That annoying little button that often covered up other important button below.
Basically it's from this thread
And using heavylildude 1x1 png to remove the included icon here :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43684011
Step by step :
1. Download the JamMasterClay's custom MultiWindow Cascade Icon
2. Find tw_icon_cascade_no_ab_default.png and tw_icon_cascade_no_ab_pressed.png (it's in vrtheme\system\framework\framework-res.apk\res\drawable-mdpi folder within the zip)
3. Update the zip using; replace both files with heavylildude's 1x1 pngs, (tw_icon_cascade_no_ab_default.png and tw_icon_cascade_no_ab_pressed.png) using any zip editor you use (winrar or winzip, any will do).
4. Flash it using ClockWorkMod recovery.
5. ????
6. Profit!
OR
Just use the zip I made for this. It's built using the steps above.

Cheers, enjoy and hope this help.
Thanks for the bloatware list, it's gonna be useful ^^
You're welcome. Be aware the list of the APK above is NOT listing the bloatwares.
Those are the ones you should LEAVE ALONE.
Additional guide :
Adding third party apps as default system app
As noted above, I've removed SamsungIME.apk, which is the default samsung keyboard (which I hated much, with passion) and replaced it with SwiftKey.
What you'll need :
ES File Explorer
Zip tool; could be Winzip or Winrar on PC, or I use ZArchiver for Android
Purchased apps are stored as .asec in /data/app-private. Using ES File Explorer app backup feature, you can save it as .apk and install it like common apps.
Step-by-step instruction :
After you backed up the purchased apps, uninstall the old (google play installed) one.
Open the newly created apk using zip or zarchiver, you'll find "lib" folder.
Copy the content of "lib" folder (usually with .so extension) to system/lib folder in your device.
Set the copied .so file permission to rw-r--r-- (chmod 644 if you use terminal)
Install the apk like usual using apk installer
find the new installed apk in data/app folder and copy it to system/app folder
set the copied .apk file within system/app folder permission to rw-r--r-- (chmod 644)
The app should become system app and will stay within your device even if a factory reset was done.
Tested on SwiftKey, Delver, ES File Explorer, etc. Doesn't work with MXPlayerPro (let me know if you had success with MXPlayerPro)

Aftermath, background processes and battery consume list. Also attached RemoveMultiWindowIcon.zip (flash it using ClockWorkMod if you hate the multiwindow icon).
I installed dropbox and swiftkey, so if you did a factory reset, you'll only left with 2 active background processes at most (excluding SystemUI and Android core, of course)
Also, list of apk/odex updated, with SecTabletAlarmClock_P4NOTE.apk, ContextAwareService.apk, SecDownloadProviderUi.apk removed, along with their odexes. No problem so far.
SecDownloadProviderUi.apk didn't do anything significant. I rebooted after I removed it, downloading google play still working fine and still give me some progress bar on the download.
However, I've lost the "downloads" icon, which means I cannot clean up the logs, and may be cluttered over time.
Edit :
A full day running the super slim tablet :
Running CSR Racing, Delver, Autodesk Sketchbook Pro, TrueSculpt and Google Drive/QuickOffice and tons of other apps without any problem.
MTP detected flawlessly and can send files from my computer through USB without problem.
Wifi internet run without problem, browsing from tablet work marvelously and also mobile data working properly.
Battery obviously last MUCH longer.
Found out that CSC.apk (after first boot/factory reset) and Personalisation.apk (not sure what it does, maybe had something to do with ringtones and wallpapers) are safe to remove. Can anyone confirm this? I've did a full unroot on my device. Well those two are minor, now that you're left with about 40 apks from 170 default apks (78 and 340 if you count the odex files). I think deleting them won't do much now. But just curious, whether they are safe to delete or not.
Also google docs updated
Tested removing these :
BadgeProvider.apk - those badges on the app icon which displayed numbers of received messages/notifications. No crashes removing this.
CSC.apk - Can be removed after first boot. Not sure what it do.
Personalization.apk - said to be safe to remove, and so far it is. Not sure what it do.
NetworkLocation.apk - provide GPS location through Wifi, didn't use GPS on my tablet anyway
Keystring_DFT.apk - contains sets of USSD codes
Keystring_factory.apk - contains sets of USSD codes
Keystring_misc.apk - contains sets of USSD codes
No errors/crashes or anything. Updated first post.
Updated OP, now that I can post links, also added original threads.
Enjoy guys.

Will update the doc. Thanks for the suggestion. Probably I'll compile something like blackviper's sheet.
I installed a Walkman port that turned out to be nonfunctional, and since I was stupid and didn't make a backup before, I had to remove it manually, but I must have deleted something that was related to the Music app, because now it crashes when I try to open it. Can someone be nice enough to extract some files from the stock kitkat rom the following folders so I can check out which files I'm missing?
The stuff that I must have accidentally deleted was in one of the following folders:
system/etc/permissions
system/etc/surround_sound
sustem/framerwork (something with "sony" in the filename)
system/lib
system/soundfx
Alternatively I'd like to know if there is any way to extract these folders from the odin flashable firmware file I downloaded so I can restore these folders without having to reflash everything. There is a system.ext4 in the tar file but I can't seem to find a way to open it.
And finally, is there some way to troubleshoot what's making the app crash? It's probably missing a file, is there some way to tell which one?
Reflashing the firmware is a last resort because I already customized a lot on this phone and I don't feel like doing all of that again.
Update: I half-fixed it by deleting Dalvik Cache a few times. Now the app works but I don't see the notification with music controls anymore. Instead there's a notification that says "Music is running. Tap for more info or to stop the app", and if I tap it it brings me to the app info screen where I can force stop, clear data, etc. Also I click "play" and the music doesn't play anymore, it stays stuck at 00:00.
What's up with that?
I assume that you already have TWRP setup on your phone so I will not go through that process here.
Android version and Phone model
My tests are based off the latest stock ROM of the Canadian SM-G920W8 SIM unlocked model. The latest supported version of Android for the Samsung Galaxy S6 is Nougat version 7.0. Versions higher than that have serious camera issues, and yes, I tried MANY ROMs. Activating API2, trying other camera apps. They all sum up to be pretty much all the same with their different sets of problems. This is why I chose the latest v7.0 stock ROM. I have not fell on any v7.1.1 ROMs and v7.1.2 have camera issues too. So, I took the latest that does not come with camera issues.
Hardware key combinations to remember
Urgent/Bootloop shutdown and reboot: Volume DOWN + Home + Power
Enter TWRP: Volume UP + Home + Power
Assayyed Kitchen: XDA Thread
This tool is the best and easiest one I have found for Windows. I just do not use the debloat and deknox options as I do it myself with a personal webserver in PHP I wrote for myself. Assayyed Kitchen uses 3 main folders for working. PLACE, WORK and READY.
PLACE: You put there a zipped ROM or any Stock files in there. Assayyed will do all the unzipping for you.
WORK: Once Assayyed has done it's magic, you should see your needed files there where "system" is the most important one we will focus on here.
READY: That's where your final zip file is created for you to copy on your phone and install.
You do not need to use the PLACE folder if you already have a full uncompressed "system" folder. Simply copy and paste the "system" folder inside the WORK folder and use Assayyed skipping the #1 step of creating a project.
I will answer these questions:
Which files do I need to delete to remove KNOX, also known as deknox the rom?
Which files and apps can I safely remove to boot my phone with a clean Android system also known as debloat?
Now, debloating is still in a work in progress on my side because I have a very ambitious debloating project, like many. The aim of this debloation is to:
Remove all Google apps, framework and libs
Remove all useless Samsung apps that do not interfere with proper working equipement.
Remove all other additional apps
All I want is to keep the barebones of a functionning Android system while maintaining some needed functionalities such as a photo gallery, calendar and the camera.
Many ROM creators have their very own definition of DEBLOAT. They not only debloat the ROM but REBLOAT them with their own personal bloatwares INCLUDING magisk and sql lite and other hacks and apps for advanced configs. The goal of my ROM is to be able to install ON MY OWN Magisk, Open GApps and other stuff if I want AND not limited to versions that are included in the ROM. ROMs with Magisk, for example, use Magisk version uploaded at the time but Magisk evolves with time and newer version become available. So I hated to have all that stuff to take care about. It's the very basic stock rom debloated with nothing more than what stock offered. No kernels, no additional software, just a pure debloated and deknoxed ROM.
Here are the lists of what I have successfully debloated with a successfull boot for now. Note that I did not add the ".apk" because those files are usually inside their respective folders BUT, should you have no folders inside the app or priv-app folder, then simply add ".apk" at the end of the name. Other thing to mention, the root directory is "system". SInce my server works with the "system" folder directly, I did not add the "system/" at the beginning of every line. The complete lists are files and folders contained inside the "system" folder. Note that some files have no extentions too and should not be mistaken for folders.

These are extra Audio files that are not necessary for the phone to boot and like most people, you will probably customize your own ringtones. I kept a few basic ringtons and sounds so the phone can have something to work with on startup, but these files, to me are extras and unecessary.

WIP - Revove all Google framework and apps
I went through the entire apk, framework and lib folders from a full Open GApps zip file and tried to remove all of what it installs and I get a Bootloop, So working on trying to figure out what causes this.
I found some answers at these links concerning files that makes the phone fail to boot and other usefull information.
Project-Deep-Clean
Remove all Google apps from an android phone
Other lists to come soon when I am able to get my phone to boot with my removed apps...
In the mean time...
ROOTED phones: Removing unwanted apps WITHOUT using TWRP
So, I came upon a few things for the brave amongst you who wish to debloat their phones with root access but without using scripts in TWRP. Here is what you need to know.
Paths at the root of the phone, NOT sdcard...ROOT
/data/user/0 : This is where your installed apps are BUT they are saved under their package name and not their APK names. If you delete anything in this folder, you need to reboot after you are done cleaning in here.
/system/app : These apps re-install on phone reboot if not present
/system/priv-app : Same as above, these apps re-install on reboot if not present
File browser with ROOT access
I use Total Commander which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. Once you open it, you need to enable root access by going into the app's settings using the "Configure..." option in it's menu. The scroll down to the bottom and check the box "Root functions everywhere". If you installed Magisk, the root permissions granting popup should appear for you to grant forever. Now, you can explore the entirety of your phone to delete those pesky apps.
Great guide! I've been meaning to get into making my own ROMs, particularly now that development for the S6 has all but stopped.
However, when I unpacked Assayyed my AV scanner Immunet (which uses CISCO's AV database) pinged up that there were 4 instances of "Andr.Dropper.Slocker::apk.agent.talos". These were in Superuser.apk, CLASSIC.zip, ASSAYYED.exe and FAST.zip.
Now, maybe this trojan is part of how the software operates - I could certainly see that as a possibility with things related to MicroG - but really a tool meant to remove things from a ROM, a tool you run in Windows oustide of Android, shouldn't be adding stuff like that back in.

Finding a WINDOWS tool to create a ROM is already not easy. On my side, I have not had any issues in running Assayyed. But I agree that the devs should AT LEAST try to make their apps AV detection free or at least warn people as to why they've incorporated those codes inside their app. BUT, that left asside, all the scripts used to do the work are available and one can simply make their own scripts or bat files and never use Assayyed as they simply launch commands from their scripts. Thank you for this information though!!!
