Firmware without wi-fi errors, rooted - Xperia Z2 General

Hello guys, sorry for post this but it's just for clarify some things.
Anyone knows if have one firmware that after flashed the wi-fi and fm radio work as well ?
I flashed with flashtool the 17.1.A.2.55 android 4.4.2 and the wi-fi just don't turn on.
I have wi-fi issue and searching in google, i have no answers.
One guy said that clicking in wifi icon some times about 10-15 minutes his wi-fi turned on again, other guy said that turning on airplain mode, turn off and turn wi-fi on did work.
I tried all that I found but no sucess.
Please, any help is appreciatted. Sorry for my english

I would try flashing a current firmware ftf file (your region's 167 firmware or equivalent). If you didn't want to upgrade to 4.4.4, then at least try the 314 firmware as even that is more recent than 55.

[Q] Wifi and BT ko after kies update

Hi all,
first of all I apologize for my English (I'm Italian).
The last week i have update my GT-I9505 through the Kies.
After update Wifi and Bt do not have more work, I state that the phone did not root or custom rom.
When I try to turn on Wifi or Bt, the icon lights up for a few seconds and then go off, without giving me a chance to connect.
I tried to redo the update, I tried to install an older version, but with the new protection system is impossible.
At the end I even tried to root, install recovery and custom rom, but I did not get positive results.
Now I have installed the latest firmware 4.3 taken from SamMobile, but BT and Wifi not working yet
Do you have any advice to solve the problem?
Thank you all.

WiFi not working on 4.3

Hello,
I installed the official stock firmware "I9505XXUEMJ5_I9505OXAEMJ5_DBT" with the new bootloader. Everything except WiFi worked well.
I tried to flash wifi fix but it didn't work. I flashed Echoe rom at least for 3 times, i flashed both odin and cwm versions of DJEMBEY's prerooted (mega) roms but I can't get it to work.
I reflashed the modem again it didn't work.
I tried odin 1.85, 3.04, 3.09. (even tried unticking auto-reboot on odin 3.09).
Whatever I did, WiFi is not working. (Bluetooth as well).
Hope someone leads me to a solution..

Try reflash the modem another time and if that still doesn't work
Code:
chmod 777 /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf
chown wifi wifi /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf

I have the smiliar wifi issue after flash the I9505XXUEMJ5_I9505OXAEMJ5_DBT stock rom.
The wifi can enable after about 1~2 minutes, but it will request me to re-input the password for wifi when I reboot the phone or disabled /enable the wifi switch.
I have tried to re-flash the stock MJ5 rom serverl time with wipe action. But it still not work.
flashed with the wifi_fix did not work either.
It seem the new bootloader have locked. I can't flash ROM from other region via odin. or downgrade to 4.2.2 ROM.
Before I flash I9505XXUEMJ5 , I use BTU-I9505XXUDMH8.
My knox flag is 1 now.
Anyone who can help me.
The F**ing bootloader.
Look at the thread in general about boot.img, there's a tip there about wifi (can't link, on mobile)
Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Premium HD app
Thanks for replies but my trouble is not related with stored passwords or etc.
The trouble is although i'm on the new bootloader and flashed the original stock rom with full wipe, i can't activate wifi and bluetooth.
I don't care about the bluetooth since i don't use it but wifi is a big problem for me.
With the wifi fix i'm able sometimes to turn the wifi on but as the phone gets restarted, i can't turn on the wifi again.

hi metinrecepi,
In the thread i mentioned, it give a method to fix the wifi issue, include failing to stay on, passwords not saving, taking a long time to turn on
If you have root your device, u can edit one line in build.prop
Just have a try, if it not work, maybe u can re-do it after a full wipe.
Code:
ro.securestorage.support=true
should be
Code:
ro.securestorage.support=false
all my wifi issue have been fixed after I changed the value in build.prop.
Something isn't right if on a STOCK ROM you need to root and edit build prop to get wifi working.
I have flashed official 4.3 on my device and never had any issues with wifi or anything else. So I would suggest refreshing firmware

I have refreshed firmware servral times, but wifi still have issue.
change the build.proc will fix those issue.
May be it is a BUG in MJ5 STOCK ROM, it is popular in software development.

Maybe, I don't see how it can be a bug is software if it only effects some people though..... I've never had any wifi issues at all.
As soon as I flashed MJ5 in the set up wizard I could connect instantly and it held a good strong connection untill I stopped it.
I have a feeling it's more a router incompatibility than a Samsung software bug.

[Q] sound gone how to fix

well I was on omegarom 2.0 google edition. so because I have had trouble with omegarom 13.2 but had the standby signal loos problem so I downloaded from sammobile the OTA firmware I9505XXUEMJ7_I9505OXXEMJ8_NEE whitch should be the firmware for Denmark (Nordic) and installed it. got sound and all but no wifi. so I installed the modem XXUEMJ7 witch should be the correct modem for the OTA and got wifi and everything but now no sound.
problem is now that no mater what rom I put on and what modem I use I have no sound at all.
the modem I have tried using all come from this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192025
has anyone any Idea how to fix this?
note to self
ok, I finally fixed it. Now I have been using odin since sgs2 and been using custom firmware since then and I still earn every day.
its every every importaint that if you wanna update baseband/formware and so on that instead of doing a reboot with usb cable attahed it will not work all the time. To make a 100% sure turn off phone, deattach cable, boot phone into download, use the up vol, attach cable and then use odin to update.
for some reason even with odin saying all good baseband will not update and the old baseband version will still be active. after doing this and using for the 20 time the stock firmware I got sound, wifi and LTE
hope this helps some people out there.

[Q] Signal dead when phone is in sleep mode

Hi guys,
I have a problem since the first 4.3 release. When the phone is in sleep mode, the cellular signal dead and i must turn on the airplane mode and turn off it. It's a very fastidious problem, what can i do?
GT-9505 with XViSiON Rom and KT Kernel.
PS: Sorry for my english
anyone?
I have the same problem.
I have even tried different Android 4.3 ROM's to my GT-I9505 where all lost it's GSM signal when i'm setting my phone into sleep mode.
I though for some time that my phone was faulty somewhere here. But to confirm that this was only happening in Android 4.3, i installed FoxHound v2.0 ROM earlier today witch was the latest Android 4.2.2 ROM of that ROM. Here i don't have that problem anylonger.
So what's going on with the Android 4.3 ROM's. Does anyone have any clues?
must be the modem, i had a similar problem back when i was on the S3 and it was related to that
Sent from my GT-I9500 using Tapatalk
happy to know I'm not the only one and happy to know that the problem is only in 4.3. can I flash the 4.2.2 modem on 4.3 rom? or it isn't compatible?
Thanks for reply and sorry for my English
You probably have flashed/installed too good modification
Try to reinstall software, do restore from backup (if you have) or try to google it... No idea why.. I understand it happens for wifi, but not for "mobile signal"
Ok I flashed a MH8 modem and for now it's ok, today and tomorrow i test if it work.
Ok, i have now flashed the XXUEMK8 modem by doing the instructions under here:

Use Odin v3.04
Untick Autoreboot
Flash modem
Reboot once again into Download Mode using (Vol Down plus Home button combi)
Flash Modem once more
Once done, unplug then reboot device manually.
If this doesn't work, try repeating the flash process again while rebooting manually and with auto-reboot option turned off.
The only thing i did differently was to use the Odin3 v3.0.9 application instead. You can download this here or here.
You can find all of the modems you need here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192025
Now the signals isn't dropping anymore
So there you have my confirmation on this. So anyone who have the same problem should just do the same by installing the newest modem you find in the link over.

Signal/connection lost on wakeup after kitkat update

I have I9505 international. After kitkat update i noticed Signal and connection lost on wakeup .I tried dozen 4.4.2 roms all are stock i flashed at least twice.when phone is idle for long time (eg when awake in the morning ) and i unlock the screen signal is present....BUT if i connect to internet i lose signal. Aeroplane mode does not help. Restarting get signal back again. I tried different 4.4.2 roms and modems with no help. Any help is appreciated.
I had this issue because Odin did not flash the modem correctly (kept the older one from previous ROM). Flashing it again helped. You can extract the modem.bin from the FW file and flash it via Odin directly. Verify the baseband version if it really flashed it, though. There seems to be some Odin bug and I found some threads explicitely advising to flash the modem twice.
