Favorite Feature - Galaxy S6 General

Lets have a discussion about the most used/useful features on S6

Best feature: Exynos SoC! I love it because it removes the possibility of me shelling out whatever Samsung thinks this phone is worth. No temptation to buy is the best feature S6 has got so far.
Best "real" feature would be the SAMOLED display but it's prob way too small (5" lol) to be useful.
Best unconfirmed feature might be waterproofing.

Mods if it is wrong section move/delete it. Search didn't find a S6 section.

Hahahhaha, you do realize the Exynos that will be in the S6 is like 35% more power efficient than the Snap. 810, plus the fact that it's just a beast and more powerful... basically it obliterates it in every category.

I love the removable battery & SD card....oh wait

I love the feature that it brings all the *****es out the woodwork! Every ****ing thread that I have come to read is people *****ing about the ****ing phone instead of just moving along! That's the feature I love about the phone, thank you samsung… errr actually I should be thanking everyone that is *****ing about the phone! A big thank you for wasting my time reading your complaints! Such useful information!

only hope left is s6 active//im waiting for the hitler video yelling about sd card and batt. that will be epic...

I like the phone very much, I mean the S6 Edge. It is a lot practical now (my favourite). I have been using Lg G2 all along. I have used Samsung until Galaxy S3 and switched to LG. I really want to see how the S6's battery stacks up. If it is on par with the LG G2 I think will switch to S6 Edge.

Display and Colors
That display looks amazing, as well as the colors. I think I'm already sold on the green, but the blue is a close second. I would have preferred a 5.5 inch screen, but that won't dissuade me from getting one of these beauties.

Samsung galaxy 2 to iphone 4

samsung galaxy s2 does have to wow factor but i was not able to enjoy as much as i did iphone. so i have sold my galaxy s2 for 4k less and again bought myself an iphone 4 this time white one
Not really sure why you made a thready up saying this but yeah the I4 is a nice phone, I sold one not so long ago and wen on the Optimus X2( terrible phone).
Sold that and got this and I wouldn't go back to a Iphone 4, IOS is way to basic and there is very little you can do to mod it like Android, I certainly wouldn't give up 1080p video recording, playing pretty much any video format out including mkv's for the Iphone,
The I4 records ok video just not in the same league as this phone and as much as I liked the resolution on the I4's screen it doesn't come close too the quality of the Super AMOLED + on this phone for colours/blacks but each too there own i guess .

congrats. I have my iPhone 4 right next to me, I haven't touched it in days .
The SGS2 is just way better in my opinion. It does EVERYTHING the iPhone does, except REALLY WELL! Like watching videos? No need to encode. Reading ebooks? MUCH larger display. Images on the screen? WOW! That's an awesome screen! Holding more than 32 gigs in it (YUP!). Widgets, GREAT!
My BIGGEST problems with the iphone were:
1) screen size
2) having to download EVERY DAMN NOTIFICATION TWICE! I would RECEIVE a notification for an IM app, have to open it, and then it would have to download it again! BIGGEST WASTE OF BATTERY AND TIME! I hated this.
Also the extra keyboard room is FANTASTIC. And it's SOOO thin and SOOO sexy! I love it! ^^
Battery life could be improved, but then again it's powering a next gen screen that's almost an inch bigger, also not only 1 faster processor, but 2! I have not had ANY lag (my iphone lags SOOO MUCH especially multitasking, switching between apps). This was the Android device I've always wanted
EDIT: Btw, if the iPhone works better for you, then that's fantastic. I know a lot of people to whom I'd recommend the iPhone over the SGS2. The iPhone just works, and it does its job. I consider myself tech savvy-ish, and I didn't like the incredibly closed box Mr. Jobs sent me in a pretty glass package. . But TBH, the iPhone is a great device. But I found one that's better (for me). I'm sure that's the case with MANY people. I wouldn't recommend to my mom an iPhone or an Android phone. She needs a craptastic Nokia that makes phone calls and lasts 5 days on battery life.

WOW, the new IP4 is WHITE, totally different and cool, it's way better than the one they released a year ago. It's like just totally better than the GSII, because.
Gotta love people like this - you really think you're that important that we need to know that you went back to a white iphone 4, and you even made a new thread. Best part is that you can't even be bothered to justify why you did this, so you win the prize for most useless thread ever.

I think you made the worst decision.... dear. I just purchased Galaxy S II today and am enjoying it fully.
The bad part is you didn't give yourself any time to play with custom ROMs, android launchers, custom themes, ROMs like MIUI and CM7 (unavailable on S2 as of now but will come for sure), and very much more super-exciting stuff.
God help you!

I just wish android would get OTA updates, because it's brand spanking new innovation that was just released on iOS5....oh wait...
Might just pop over to here...http://getwifisync.com/
Hmmm. Guy submits app...gets rejected...Apple basically improves the app over the next year, with its numerous engineers working on it...then re-releases it in iOS5.
That's what so many people pay (stupidly overpriced amounts of money) for?
Oh well, what-ever floats your boat. :|

Will Samsung create another phoneblet

I have a GS2 that I purchased in July and really like. But having a larger screen would be fantastic for reading and surfing the net. My main bugbear is battery life for smartphones & having to charge nearly everyday. So I wonder if it's too early for me to upgrade or whether I should wait for another device with even better battery life, and better features (e.g. lotus screen).
I'm a little tired of relentless upgrading in search of the “perfect" phone. I switched from the GS1 to GS2 within eight months because I like my phones blazing fast.
So do you think Samsung will create another phoneblet in the near future? Sorry for rambling as it's early morning in my part of the world. Thanks.

No, I don't think so.
1) An S-LCD version would probably exists in the future if Note sells, but I think it's going to have a bit smaller screen and thicker dimensions. Speaking of LCD construction that requires more thickness and bezel, probably for the backlights on the screen.
2) I believe 5,3" is the max considering it's already a device huge enough for niche markets. They stick very close to Dell Streak's dimensions and I can't imagine one handed use and pocketability for devices larger or wider than this.
3) I think Samsung won't put out the S-Pen on any screen lesser than 5,3".
4) Even if they update the model with quad core stuff, would you think you'll need that?
I might be wrong, but I myself won't be able to go for an all-in-one larger device than Note, and use it as a primary phone

You must be living under a rock! Every single user's gotten this phone just loves it. I guess I must be reading the wrong information somewhere, even Engadget loves it. Who would want a small tablet, that was also a phone, that fits in your pocket and is as fast and efficient as any phone out there? Not only is it a small tablet, phone but also the best navigation tool you can get.

I'm not saying it's a bad device by any means but what i'm saying here is that it's a form factor that most people are not familiar with.
In fact, i like it much better than my SGS2
Let this speak for it self. Galaxy GS, Galaxy GS2, Galaxy tab, Galaxy tad 7.7, Galaxy tab 10, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Note "2 " S " 6" who know. From what I've seen from Samsung they bring out a product every year and then a better one the next, but never any updates for the first gen. But look for a note next year!!!

Near future? Zero chance.
I don't even know if they'll release it in the US in the near future.
If the Note sells really well, then I'm sure they'll make another one.
The Note is awesome, and I love mine to death, but there's no denying it's a niche device, and a very expensive one at that. I really have no idea how well it'll sell.

Just because its not been released in the US, doesn't mean it will hav bad sales.. its not even released in half of Asia.. its even been delayed in my country..

I agree, we are still well on the front end of the launch of the device. Asia will love this phone and it quite possibly will go to att (except not for 6-8 more months)
Thank you for all your replies and combined wisdom! I tried the demonstration unit at a shop today and am smitten. Odd, since I wasn't extremely taken by it the first time round and to make matters more intriguing, the S-pen had been stolen so I could only use my fingers.
P.S: Am I the only one who thinks the Note resambles a Galaxy S more than S2?

Galaxy S4

Now that the Galaxy S4 has finally been unveiled are any of you planning to upgrade to it? It's definitely an upgrade from the S3, but not as much as I hoped it would be. Don't get me wrong, the screen is gorgeous and it obviously has more horsepower, but side by side next to an S3 you'd be hard pressed to know they're different phones by a quick glance.
My upgrade just came up and I was waiting on this phone but now I think I'm considering the Note II again due to the development it already has and it's (more than) stellar battery life. If the price drops soon due to the S4 release then I will most likely go pick it up. I was also thinking of waiting for the Note III but my patience is wearing thin...

The HTC One is amazing looking but has some serious drawbacks with no removable battery and no expandable storage. Also when the screen is on you will notice it actually has some pretty noticable black borders on the right and left side of the display making it look a lot smaller than it should... kind of an annoyance on an otherwise beautiful display

Note Deuce FTMFW!!! On a side note, if the N2 is too big for some folks, I would get a S3 because its unlocked, plenty of development, and the S4 is not that huge of a upgrade imo...not to mention the S3 can be had for a reasonable price. I prefer the N2 because I have huge hands, amazing battery life, and 2gb of ram.

This is the way I'm leaning (GN2) because I have pretty big hands too so the size can be dealt with, but it might take a while to get used to that monster in my pocket (Fascinate is just so easy to pull out quick to check the time, etc).
The price really needs to drop before I pick it up though, $300 is just too much so if the GS4 releases with a $200 price point and the GN2 doesn't drop in price for whatever reason I will probably end up just getting the GS4. I know it's not a huge upgrade from the GS3 as you say, but the screen is noticeably bigger, brighter, and clearer to me plus it has a bigger battery. Those small upgrades alone are enough to sway me if the price isn't more than $200 (I could care less about all the gimmicky touchwiz stuff they showed off yesterday).
edit: scratch that, it's only $150 on amazon wireless so that pretty much changes things. I'm going to have to go and play with it a bit at the store and then make my decision.

For me personally I really want a bigger screen (at least 5") because I watch a lot of video on my phone (sometimes gaming too) and as nice as the Fascinate is, it's just not big enough (again, this is just me). The fact that we have the latest android is amazing and all our developers are top notch, but still I can feel the phone struggling sometimes, especially during multitasking, so it'll be nice to have a newer phone that has a bit more horsepower to run the latest and greatest. I also want a better camera, NFC, and improved call quality, which no matter what I do to the Fascinate I won't ever get those either. I also want to gift this phone to a friend of mine who doesn't really have the money to own a nice smartphone, so it'll make me feel good to give her an awesome phone that will still get updates to hold her over for some years.

don't forget the spen and multiwindow are very nice features on the n2 that the s4 wont have. don't get me wrong the s4 will be a solid device, but I would go with whatever you can get a better deal on. At this point the hardware is far more capable than the software on the latest devices.
bbrad, I absolutely cringe at the thought of trying to run key lime pie on the fascinate. If you ever used a device with 2gb of ram for a week you would never go back trust me. I go weeks on end without rebooting and my n2 keeps on flying. Its time to upgrade bro. The fascinate was a great device in its day, but now its just a piece of history imo. not to mention the iphone now has the same size screen lol...that there would make me run like hell!!

People cringed at 4.2 on the fascinate remember when everyone said it would be horrible and laggy? Look at us now I haven't rebooted my fascinate for a week still no lag I've used many big ram devices like the n4 let's put it this way my phone on AOKP is faster than most of these newer devices on stock lol and I can't upgrade anyway I'm 14 and I. Can't exactly start a new contract due to I won't be able to pay for it so I would have to outright buy a phone and I don't have the money to do that

s6 edge reviews.

reviewer's verdict: Shut up and take my money
https://recombu.com/mobile/article/samsung-galaxy-s6-edge-review
they gave it a minus for non-expandable storage i wonder if they do it for all phones.
I give them a minus for not focusing on the battery life. Not really an in depth review.
They did cover the battery in the S6 review, so since they're basically the same phone, the Edge review was more about look and feel.

It would still be really interesting to know the effect of the extra 50mAh.
I'd think a 2% bump would be negligible. The real question is, why is the S6 Edge battery different at all? My only guess is that by moving the microSIM slot to the top, they had to reconfigure the insides and use a different battery. Or they're just wacky engineers.

50mAh = practically no difference.
makes me wonder why samsung even bothered making another battery part number for a lousy 50mAh.
I hope they're not overhyping the design haha

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: design
In terms of design, though, the two phones certainly look the part. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is particularly eye-catching: like the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, it has a curved screen; unlike the Note Edge, its curves run down both sides of the screen, which makes for a much more coherent, symmetrical look.
No two ways about it, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is a stunner. The twin curves give it a unique appearance, and it goes together with a Gorilla Glass 4 coated and coloured metal rear panel to produce a handset that truly stands out from the crowd.
We've tried to give you an idea of how good it looks in the photos, but it’s impossible to precisely replicate in a photograph just how the metal catches the light and shimmers as you move it around.
As a fan of the Samsung, absolutely thumb up!

verdict: An absolutely beautiful handset, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is well built, desirable and powerful

Sorry I meant the Edge as this Edge thread.
My piece, sorry for the language
The key findings:
- top notch screen, very bright under sunlight, accurate in standard mode
- standard setting benchmark results that translate into smooth and rapid all-around use, no overheating
- exceptional storage speeds, really impressive load times
- great cameras all around
- build quality, handling, call quality is great
- I like the theming options
- average, S5-level battery life
- no microSD slot, though 32gb starting package and 100 gigs of OneDrive storage is some consolation
- very pricey
I take it like the other reviews of TW, the app drawer cannot be sorted possibly only be replacing the default Launcher.

That is correct. Oddly, you can't change first name first to family name first in the phonebook either, now that's annoying.

Or rather something that is not present on LDU, just like fingerprint security and a few other things.
Stuff's got both the S6 and S6 Edge reviews up now too:
S6: http://www.stuff.tv/samsung/galaxy-s6/review
S6 Edge: http://www.stuff.tv/samsung/galaxy-s6-edge/review
According to them, the S6 is the best phone in the world. For now. The Edge is second place. Pretty impressive.

Samsung really did the Note Edge (owners) no favors...

First of all let me make it clear I. Love. This. Phone. No question this is the best - functionality wise - phone I have had in more than 10 years. Because it is my daily driver and the attention grabber everywhere I went (until the S6 edge came out) I am even more disappointed/disturbed by Samsung treating the phone, and those that really like, as disposable.
Because Samsung billed this as a concept phone there is virtually ZERO real development for the edge panel since it was announced last September. The bad part is that Samsung themselves could have made useful panels but instead they dropped the ball. How many months more will we see that the panel store is "coming soon"? Instead of exploiting this feature and keeping us engaged it is now an exercise in futility hitting the download button to see the same panels or virtually useless ones that are not in a language you don't understand or is of zero use.
Then there s the ROM aspect. I used to do more flashing that Barry Allen back in the day. Have you seen the number of fully functional ROMS for this phone. It is slim to none. It seems Sammy's lack of passion to push the phone has pushed chefs to other devices. This is squarely on Samsung.
Lastly, I am an accessory fiend - admittedly. Finding GOOD accessories and add-on's to this phone have be like finding the Lost Ark of the Covenant. From buying 9 different screen protectors that promise to protect the actual edge - that don't or looking for a functional case almost everything is a chore or a serious waiting game. they have sucked the fun of really getting into this device - for me at least.
If this new article is to be believed they are even going to cut down on some of the specs from the Note 5 equivalent: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/...ge-2-features-leaked/articleshow/47204012.cms. I will not believe it until I see it but I do not feel good about the next iteration of the phone either. When you consider that there is no removable battery in the S6 nor a micro slot either things do not look good.
If things go as the article states and I see that the marketing and exposure for the Note Edge 2 or anemic I will stick with what I have now. Again, I love this phone which makes the stagnant interaction on this board and in products tick me off more. This could have easily been avoided.
I totally agree with everything you have said. I was so excited about the Galaxy Edge announcement! A phone with two screens and great specs. I still love my phone but like you I am extremely disappointed at the lack of development for our devices. I too used to flash a new ROM every few weeks but I can't. I also can't believe Samsung took their eye of the ball and stopped giving us Edge owners (people who put faith in their 'concept' design)exclusives or even panels (which was promised).
I have made a few posts in the DEV section asking why we have so few ROMS/tweaks etc. Apparently it is to do with not having the source code..even though it has been released..so I'm not sure if this is the real reason etc
I kinda agree as well. This phone has been rather dissapointing to me. Not because of lack of potential but lack of support and development. This phone had the potential to be epic but it is now shadowed by the over hyped s6 edge. Oh well. Im guessing because the s6 edge has had a great bit of responsiveness and praise the next note edge will be better supported. I kinda am torn with the idea of a smaller screen but 5.5 is still a good size screen.

I absolutely disagree entirely
---------- Post added at 06:43 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:38 AM ----------
Let me explain. ...
It's supposed to be a useful accessory. .... not a full blown new gadget.
When u look at it in that context it is incredible.
Just the
1) nightclock
2) edge board as the app tray
3) quicksetting shortcut functions
4) a second screen when dealing with quick functions such as music player etc
Are enough to make this worthwhile as adding tangible beneficial functionality.
Anything else is a bonus and won't really add much more utility. Yes it would be nice but won't add that much.
I'd bought this after some indecision as was pretty sure it wouldn't get developer support given the limited numbers. Took the plunge because the edge was just too enticing.
Couple of months on, am quite happy overall. The phone itself, as everyone agrees, is fantastic. Plus,
1. Lots of cases now, from flip to non flip. Range covers the edge as well as leaving it open.
2. Screen protectors have been a pain, especially the lack of glass ones. The plastic ones, however, do cover the full edge, and are quite smooth. You have to wait for a week or so for all the bubbles to vanish and the surface to really smoothen out, though.
3. ROMS are in short supply, but as if now, find it is responsive enough without too many tweaks. A lot of the mods for Note 4 work quite well, which eases the pain.
4. The Samsung panel store started well and then died out. But there are quite a few very useful productivity panels coming on play store now. I particularly like the quick settings and quick contacts ones. Still some shortage of content based feeds etc, but don't think that will be resolved.
So some minuses, but overall still very good. No thanks to Samsung, of course (which is the point of the OP, I suppose) ☺

1) I agree about the range of cases but prefer the a flip that covers the edge. ...
Imo the protection is more important than the visibility.... 99% of the time u need the edge only. ... there is no problem with leaving the flip open. Eg when using as a night clock.
2) I think screen protectors are pointless. ...especially if u have a flip case.
Any protector inevitably takes away from usability.
I agree to an extent with the op. I guess one of the things I am most disappointed about is that ever since lollipop came out for our edge phones, the main features that were HUGE turn on to the edge screen have been removed. Case in point, the camera button that was on the edge screen is now off to the side of the phone. Even what little they offered in the edge screen in kit Kat has been reduced even further with lollipop. I truly feel that as great as this phone is, I should have stayed with my note 4. The edge was seriously overhyped to bring us in and then dropped like raw egg on concrete.

I love love this phone. When I heard that S6 was to be edged both sides I was very disappointed in what they did to that generation. No removable battery and slot for SD card , I feel like I'm look I ng at a CrApple phone. If this is the way Samsung is going, I'll keep this phone till it dies and look elsewhere.

I think that for the most part the disappointment comes at the hands of Samsung. sure, would I love for the battery to have been bigger and give me a solid 6 hours screen time...of course. but from form factor, wow factor, functionality standpoint this phone is awesome. I just feel that by abandoning it - at launch - they left a lot on the table.

I, personally, feel I got everything I expected and more. Especially from a superficial perspective. This phone turns heads -and go a few numbers for me :good: based on people not knowing what the heck it was. I actually got 6 people to buy the phone base on my conversation with them about all its features. With lollipop coming so late/ changing accustomed to features, the panel store sucking and limited to no development I can see how "overhyped" could be applied but for me its only from the standpoint that my expectation level was higher from a Samsung support and development standpoint.

Amen brother! I saw the S6 in silver and was impressed by the look of it. when I saw the emasculated features of the side panels the first thing I thought of was: they are going to do something monumentally horrible to the note edge 2. Then I read the article I posted. I have not rooted the phone because, for the most part, it is a beast out the box. But if you are going to make the screen smaller, no removable battery, no card slot and have continually crappy support and development then I will stick with what I have until something better comes along. The sad part is that I am REALLY brand loyal. If you treat me right I will get in line to hand you my money for what I believe is something worthy to be purchased. Samsung is really making me question them. Yes, the note 5 is probably going to be a beast but I really like the Note edge dangnabbit and want them to just do what's right by the people they sold the edge to.

In all honesty, the phone itself is awesome! I love the note edge. The problem is samsung development. They could have blown this to the moon and beyond, but it seems like they are trying to pull backon the edge screen. Even kitkat had more to offer than lollipop. The lollipop update has removed quite a bit of the edge screen features that made it so attractive to begin with.
I'd still buy the edge, but if they keep removing edge screen features, then id rather go back the note 4
Welcome to Samsung Folks
As much as I hate to say it, this is no different from what Samsung has always done in the past. This is their business model. The sooner they can obsolete devices, the sooner they can sell more.
The amazing thing is that they get the device to the point where it works very well, with the bare minimum features and stability they can get away with, and then totally forget about the device. The Gear S on my wrist, the Note 10.1 2012 and 2014, the Note 2, all of these devices Samsung got to work, worked out the majority of bugs, and left them without looking back.
This is what they do. Sadly, you buy a Galaxy device for what it is now, not what it can become in the future. They are locking them down tighter so developers can't do anything anymore, and carriers are loving every moment of it.
I watched videos of Samsung's developer conference and it was sparse. No one wants to mess with their devices anymore, and sadly, people messing with their devices is what got them to where they are now. That is what's changed. Just like jailbreaking iPhones was huge early on but fizzled out after Apple started to sell more devices based on the eye catching features outweighing the desire for customizability, rooting and building custom roms is fizzling out as Samsung sells crocksh*ts of Galaxy devices that have three or four excellent features that keep people buying them blindly without caring about customization.
Blogs are ignoring these issues brought up by OP because they are being paid or coerced or conned by Samsung into glorifying everything about the S6, while actively ignoring the Note. "If we give you this tester device, you aren't allowed to talk negatively about any of our other devices, and are limited to saying X, Y or Z about those other devices."
Samsung knows that the Note is the BEST phablet, or really, it is the BEST Android phone out there. Hands down. I'm not saying that because I like it, I'm saying it because based upon the balance between features and price, it is number one.
I have a Nexus 6. It isn't all that it is cracked up to be, and I wonder whether that's because Google is slacking off. In any case, I bought the Nexus a few days ago, and I'm already done with it. It is clearly a baseline phone. Current roms have nothing but kernel mods, everyone is trying to make it more "buttery smooth," and Xposed has been trampled by Samsung's big boot.
So what's really going on? Is Samsung thinking they don't have to try so hard because no matter what any other manufacturers do, they won't be able to match Samsung's eye catching features? Look at LG's attempts. They are good, but not ground breaking.
In any case, Google and manufacturers are taking back our customizability from us, and forcing us into the iPhone model, while throwing out a bone here and there and acting like Android is still the customizable and open ecosystem it has always been.
There it is.

Dude, the market moves a an absolutely blistering pace.. Before one device is even completed the tech inside of it is basically obsolete think of it from an research and development standpoint. They have to develop the best device they can, which I feel they do a damn good job at, so during the time of development they have to already be looking ahead to the next iteration of the same device. It's a giant cycle of constant improvement that takes time to design, to then develop, to implement it , and then market the **** out of it and in background the new device is already begun it's design and development process .. Samsung more so that not, delivers a top of the line device consistantly.. we here on xda tend to be more knowledgeable and more used to the tech than the average consumer whom maybe coming from some crap device to even a note 3 which would blow their mind not to mention the note 4 or edge. Come on Samsung is constantly smashing the competing oems in tech and design. Htc doesn't count because their internals are absolutely horrible, I don't care what it looks like because I know it's a pile of garbage. LG just looks at Samsung and then kangs the f out of them. Their ui is so twiz like it's not even funny. Except it runs like crap. Nice cams that's it. Samsung does a damn fine job in my opinion. Better than any other oem by miles. They aren't perfect, but they are still the best.

No one argues, it is the best of the tippity top phones on the market.. the argument is in the developement and lack of support. Its like buying a laptop in order to have adobe photoshop where ever you are, and then finding out that they will no longer offer adobe photoshop to that one model. And then you find out that the next model of the same laptop is getting adobe photoshop, office suite pro, 283tb of unlimited cloud storage, and a date with sofia vergara with a garanteed handjob.... tell me you wouldnt be just a lil upset.. lol

I've recently upgraded to lollipop and at first I hated it - made my phone run slow, hot, and the battery drained super fast. As much as I hated doing it, I did the dreaded factory reset and restore, painstakingly loading back on the hundreds of apps and settings. But so far it's been worth it and the phone feels snappier than before. I can't really comment on battery life yet but hopefully that will be better too.
As for negatives I don't like that you can't deactivate the lollipop style notifications as now when browsing YouTube the notifications cover the screen.
Regarding the camera, I actually prefer to have the shutter button on screen, as it's easier to hit and the position of my fingers mean that I know longer get a finger in the shot!
I really wish I saw this thread yesterday!!! I just came home with the Sprint variant and found this two minutes after I updated to Lollipop and rooted.. Are you serious? Did I just drop $800 on "THE BEST DEVICE SINCE SILICON WAS DISCOVERED!!" that is basically a Betamax player already?!? (showing my age with that reference..) If I read y'all correctly, I'm stuck with TouchWiz, I can't discover that perfect "unknown" little custom ROM to flash, and I basically ruined the eponymous Edge by upgrading from 4.4.4? Really? K.. deep breath...
Lollipop has killed the Edge. It was a great phone out of the box with Kit Kat. Although AT&T shoved the update down our throats, the community has come through with a downgrade. Development has been slow but im sure and hope itll come around. Its my daily driver and I am more content with smaller mods and full functionality over full blown customization.
