flash Note 3 - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys i have a samsung LTE note 3 , singapore version.
I am using the phone in India.
there are many note 3 that have got the lollipop version.
baseband N9005DXUGNK1
version 4.4.2
1. can i flash the UK (vodafone) lollipop version on my phone via ODIN ?
2. will it trip my knox after flashing?
3. Will i have to unlock my phone after flashing to use Indian sim? (because when i got the phone i did not have to unlock it)

Better if you flash poland one.

What is the reason that I should flash Poland? Because I have already downloaded the UK version .
And is it safe to flash

[Q] Flashing my branded Note 3

Hi
I have New Note 3 from THREE Uk and it's branded now I want flash this factory Samsung rom on UK ( BTU) is any problem with that? I ask because some people write that after flash maybe come some issue with KNOX . How custom rom counter ? going up? Please help because I'm not sure now to go ahead with this flash.

Just download stock ROM and flash in ODIN you will trigger counter but that's your only option at the minute

I flashed my UK VDF branded Note 3 with stock BTU FW, the result? nothing... Knox flag did NOT trigger and is still 0x0.
Seems like it has to be the same PDA so XXU, and at least the same FW or newer, like both BMI7 or at least the one you flash be higher.
Just download ODIN+FW and flash it.
Ok thanks . This is good news.

Only before flash I have option "Reactivation : ON" and now is "Reactivation : OFF" whats that mean ?

[Q] What 4.4.2 stock rom do I need?

Hello
I need to make a hard reset to my phone, and I want to also update to 4.4.2, but I see a lot of firmwares on sammobile and I don't know which one install.
My phone is free and I don't want to lost knox 0x0, region will be great if its uk one or someone with english default.
Any idea?
You can try out the latest rom from Trinidad and Tobago TTT as it supports English by default.
Also you should know that once you upgraded to Kitkat 4.4.2 you won't be able to downgrade to Jelly Bean back

Is your phone a European model? An N9005 or an N900 variant?, is it a HK Note? What CSC do you currently use?
Dial *#1234# in your keypad and post the results.
Need more information before guiding you..

Hi
It is a sim free italian N9005
Right now it is :
AP: N9005XXUBMJ1
CSC: N9005XXBMJ1
You can root without losing KNOX via Universal Root De La Vega. - then you can upgrade via Mobile Odin Pro and keep your KNOX - have a good read around and understand the process and risks involved etc.

However, once you go to Kitkat you can't go back to JB....
I know its been mentioned before but it really needs to be understood...

[Q] some info about (mobile odin pro app)

hey guys:
so here are some questions about mobile odin app on my SM-G900F
1- so if i root my phone and then open mobile odin i will be able to flash any firmware using my mobile only? ( on the same model SM-G900F ofcourse)
2-my firmware according to samsung kies is NE2 (LEB) it means lebanon in the middle east, can i flash the firmware NG2(uk) via odin?
3-does cf-root by chainfire works when im on NG2 firmware? i mean does it root my device when im on latest firmware?
so those are my questions, i just want to make things clear to not get my phone in trouble
thanks in advance my friends :fingers-crossed:
I didn't try Mobile ODIN so far on my S5 but this is how it is supposed to work.
I did flash latest UK stock rom & it works perfectly. I am in middle east as well by the way. Also rooted my G900F using Cf-root on NG2 with no problem. Just as you may know, this will hit the Knox counter which is unrecoverable so far.

Still didnt received lolipop i9505

Before few months I rooted my s4 i9505 and then I go back to stock rom , I flashed kitkat firmware via odin and everything work fine but all my friends received lolipop OTA but I dont so is it the problem in knox becuase it says KNOX void waranty 0x1 in download mode?
Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Free mobile app
It's not Knox. Save yourself the hassle of waiting for an OTA by downloading and installing Android 5.0.1 through Odin.
I forgot to mention I bought my s4 sim free unbranded from shop so I thinked that I will get OTA first and I cant flash it via odin becuase my computer is broken

Croatia has gotten LP yeah. But i believe it is only for Croatia (TELE2) customers. Hang on tight it should arrive "soon".
If ya can't wait, head over to your buddies house. Download odin 310 and head over to sammobile.
follow flash instructions all over google.
@z1k4: There's always Mobile Odin as an option.
But for mobile odin root is needed and my phone is not rooted
Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Free mobile app
Then I guess you're going to a friend's house and borrowing their computer.
If I flash lolipop firmware via odin I must do factory reset, i'm right? Which firmware shell I use my phone is i9505 ,bought it factory unlocked white?
Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Free mobile app
You should make a backup of your data before starting, but it's not necessary to factory reset beforehand as the ROM install will do that automatically. If your S4 is unlocked, either of the unbranded 5.0.1 ROMs for the I9505 that were mentioned here on the forums will work for you. Both should include Croatian language support, but where you're on the European mainland rather than the UK, the DBT ROM might be a better choice than the BTU ROM.

yes never has been a 6 release .
If you have custom recovery try format system data cache .
Boot to download mode and flash a stock rom through Odin
Thats what i had to do to get it sort of working, only problem its the wrong rom and im stuck trying to find the correct uk unlocked rom
