Need more info. How much time off the charger? On WiFi? How is your cell signal? What apps are you using? What are your setcpu settings?

It was off 5 the charger for 27 mins and screen on time 22 mins. Cell reception is great and I use WiFi most of the time. I use a lot off game apps like field runners and candy crusg. I did a factory reset last night and the battery is at 66 percent and I unplugged two hours ago. I've been playing like 20 mins of field runners and I froze all the bloat. I don't get why the battery is not as good? Did I buy a bad one from ebay?

Could just be the battery is no longer holding a charge the way it should. You can pick up replacement batteries on amazon for around $11

Only get name brand batteries the exact one the phone comes with unless you want to chance a 5 or 10 dollar battery destroying your phone. If you care about battery life try a different rom and get a power add Apollo or a zerolemon

The phone is great the battery is also it depends on your rom and what the guys mentioned up top but I've used one rom and had 7 plus hours of on screen time. Then tried another and had 3 hours on screen time. Could be the rom isn't a great one for battery life.

Stock battery life isn't all that wonderful on the OG EVO. Having said that, there are plenty of ROM's available that offer better battery life over stock. I'd also look at the battery itself-might be time for a new one.

+1..I agree with FinZ28..removing bloat and improved battery life are two of the major reasons to Root and Rom your evo. If you are using it like a media player or gaming device you just need to stay by a plug though. Not even the most efficient rom can compensate for the screen being on 24/7.
?
No need to get complicated: ignore the top 10 % of the "100%" battery charging range - when you remove your phone from the charger you get a difficult-to-predict amount of charge between 90 and 100. Sounds like you got the bottom end of that range. Then it dropped 2% more while you played with it.
This is not extreme battery drain.
Below 90, the charge meter is relatively accurate. Tell us how long it took to get from 60 to 48, not "100" to 88.

HERE is a good explanation of why your Battery drops quickly in the first 10% .
I installed juice defender and while idle screen off it gets great battery life. This is going to be a band-aid until I get the time to root the thing and I was using an extended battery

You need a sbc kernal, extended batteries on stock kernal only charge technically to 75% and also depends on type of extended battery, I bought one off ebay that was 3500 mah, it gave me worse battery than my stock 1500... now I have a sprint 2600 I got for 15$ and I get 2 days of moderate use, so all depends also I have an sbc kernal

Really wish more reviewers compared phone battery usage better. The best site I found is gsmarena.com blog. Sadly they usually release battery results about a month after a phone releases. Would love to see how this compares to the s4.

Battery life much better than S4 mainly due to screen and processors. Battery life on this phone is a strength. Previous phones include S4, LG Optimus Pro and Note 2.

Moto X is the only phone I've ever had where it beats 5 hours of screen time. I'm getting an hour extra of screen time. Of course, still too early to tell. On the S4 I would get close to 4 hours of screen time on average.

It's probably affecting battery so lightly that it wouldn't make a difference.
Now what I want to see is someone test the battery on straight H+ or LTE.

The motorola connect, active notifications and the secured bluetooth to remove the passlock is probably the main reasons i kinda want this phone.
But ..F ATT......damn them for getting those colors exclusive.

i mean hours. how many hours of screen on time did you have. that's one of the most important clues to battery life.
thanks!
Please please everyone post your screen on time, how many hours of display. Its THE most important number.
So I'll start off by saying my battery only lasts 8-10 hours from 100% to dead. So fair I have pinpointed the issue but I don't know how to fix it. I'm using an at&t d800
When my WiFi is on, no or unknown signal and no data connection start ticking and killing my battery. If I never turn my WiFi on my battery will last 19 hour or more.
Has anyone less encountered this issue and/or know how to fix this.
I have had this on bone stock 10o and on gravios rls 4.
Please I really would like to use my ac router and to get better battery life.
Thanks for your time.

get betterbatterystats and look into wakelocks, check kernel, then partial and google the living daylight
turn wifi off when no signal, not that complicated really.
lobby with your provider for better coverage in your area.

lol, just bring it back to a lg dealer
if that doesn't work, buy replacement battery, there are threads here how to open the phone.
or root it, twrp recovery it, wipe the bagesus ( not the sd card) out of it. so its clean. Then reinstall stock or good custom.
then condition battery, a couple times full charge down to zero and up again.

LG Dealer? also its not the battery not holding a charge its if my wifi is on the battery drains like crazy because my phone thinks there is no siganl so its boosting the cellular radio. with out wifi on it doesnt do that so the battery lasts a long time.
well good news it is software related. i installed cm 11 and wifi on is not causing the no signal wake lock.

Conditioning is only good for Ni-Mh battery's but bad for Li-Poly battery's. (which g2 uses) 0% and 100% are bad for them. The best is to charge them from about 10% to 95% if possible.

I dont understand why my battery if I charge it past 100% grants me an hour longer screen on time. I did notice a different span when using till 50 and then charging it again. Once I went from 100 to zero and back up it seemed it reset itself.
weird battery I guess.
Bad calibration is all. Its that magic 1% @100 and crap 5% bottom end. Noticeable across all devices. Evens itself out, never ends. Seems at 100% starting, its not really fully charged.

i honestly cant speak to the Verizon version since i just got it today, but i have had the sprint version for a week, it charges AMAZINGLY fast, the battery lasts forever, and if it is plugged in i literally cant kill it, i had a GS4 slimmed all the way down so i could run Crime City and Modern War as much as possible, LOL and if it was plugged in it only slowed the battery drain, with the GS5 even stock i can have the game open watching my wars running my chat app which is a HIUGE battery drain, and playing mp3 and i am positive charging, i am VERY happy with this charging/battery life

Hello!
I have an AT&T Note 3 running on root and I've noticed that my Lightflow & Swapps app keeps automatically force closing at random times in the day.... this never happened before until I decided to root my phone, and even then, in the beginning everything was running smoothly. Any idea of what could be causing this? I am using the NOVA launcher but I wouldn't see why that would cause an issue... and on Kitkat 4.4, I'd appreciate anyone's input!

From what I do, it actually does last me a while but I do have to charge it when I am at work. From 9 to about 3:30p.m I have to charge it because it's at 10% due to me watching Netflixs all through my work shift, including lunch, while also texting back and forth whenever I need to. My shift ends at 5:30, so by then it's at 100% because I started charging it around 3:30p.m. On a day like the weekend, I hardly use my phone at all since I have my PC so my batter life lasts a really long time without me having to charge it by the end of the day and even then I have about 60%. On a day where I am up and about, my batter lasts me till about 40% all day until I have to charge it. I hope that makes any sense. I don't pay much attention to my battery life since all I use my phone for is netflixs while I am at work and SOMETIMES some gaming, but not all the time. I also hardly call or text anyone.
