Clock gone on Lollipop - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey Guys i finally flashed the official lollipop rom (Poland) to my note 3 but after that i can't open the clock app, at the beggining i was thinking that it was a bug cause i didn't do a factory reset on the phone and i only erased data/cache from recovery.
I tried to reflash the rom without deleting the data but the problem was still there, so after that I did a factory reset and delete cache/data from recovery but nothing i can access the clock via svoice with commands such as:
set timer
set alarm
and only via alarm widget every other action that i tried didn't work i tried also via safe mode or to install a clock.apk from aptoide and from a custom rom but nothing.
Does anyone else face that issue ?
Thanks in advance.

the dbdata file is corrupted.
1) download this file
http://forum.xda-dev...98&d=1290261479
2) extract it
3) use Odin to flash it under the PDA option
-make sure repartition is UNCHECKED
-do not select any pit file
-leave everything else the same
hi, i got a question, maybe its stupid but i've tried searching and cant find it anywhere.
so my hermes 2.0.1 tab p1000 is under my Google account. and since i've bought the P7500, i'm trying to give the p1000 to my wife. made some google account for her.
the problem:
- i've reset to factory default, no luck (through settings)
- i've reset to factory default, usb format no lick (through settings)
- i've wiped through recovery CWM. still no luck
basically after all above, my programs are still there, my account is also there, and now my tab wont show the flight mode, and data mode when pressed power.. only show the overcome added menu (reboot, recovery, etc)
so any lights on this? should i reflash? i'm confused because all my stuffs is still there in the tab... and i want to clean it up.. hopefully without resorting to reflash.
How are you going into recovery? When the tab is off, hold in power, hold volume up, when you see samsung let go of power. The factory reset will take out everything.
When you reboot, the set up screens should be confirmation of a complete wipe.
Or you could flash the wipe version of overcome rom.
sorry my bad..
i just pressed the recovery option in tab menu.
then it shows different kind of recovery menu... (blue color)
when i do power+up it shows an orange color cwm.. and this one works.. sorry for thetrouble
It's no trouble, it's a good discovery.

[Q] restart issue on screen wakeup

I have an at&t i337, and it has a reboot issue on screen wake up (waking up after it automatically sleeps or it automatically waking up after the call ends and device moved away from the ear/face). I think its a core system software/configuration issue( issue present when I got it at MK2 and it persisted across upgrades to NB1, NC1 and NJ1, also occurs in safe mode). Is there a way to completely wipe (really blank it, system+data) and restore it to the current system update + default system restore? I have tried everything I could based on what I could find on the web (no battery issues, no sd card issues, tried clearing cache, tried factory resets, tried the system fix module on xposed framework, tried deleting knox stuff, tried custom rom using safestrap etc.etc).

[Q] Unfortunately, Settings has stopped.

I'm a root user, Titanium Backup installed and that's the second time i flash Android 5.0 and after a while i got this error. Tried factory reset, wipe data, wipe cache/dalvik and didn't worked out.
Tried entering in Safe Mode and the error is persistent.
Is there something i can do?
I'm using GalaxyS4 Settings for Froyo~JB (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ion.setting) and with it i'm able to got into some of my settings, but the stock app doesn't work by itself.
Is there some way of flashing the stock Settings app again?
Another weird thing is that my SPen does not take screenshots anymore and that only happens with Android L (5.0).

[Q] I9505 notification access lost on reboot 5.0.1 BTU

Hi, I have flashed 5.0.1 BTU from the links listed on this forum. Has anyone come across the notification access being disabled when rebooting?
I was on the German 5.0.1 but wiped cache + factory reset through recovery, flashed BTU version then wiped cache + factory reset through recovery again but this problem is still persisting.
I9505, rooted with supersu.
thanks
Phil
Disable (freeze) Glance view mk
hi man
i had the same issue and i disabled "Glance view mk" it worked fine and i've never lost notification access anymore .
please let us know if it works for you too
PS: i used "titanium backup" to freeze (disable) "Glance view mk"
Hi, great news is this has worked by freezing with titanium. Thank you for the fix and your time to post this.
Phil :good:
So there's no solution without rooting? And do you guys think that it will be fixed in later versions or in different firmware? Thanks!

Stuck on 'Phone is starting' after updating to Android 12

Hello!
I tried to update my phone (SM-G975U) via Odin from Android 9 to Android 12, got the firmware from SamFw.com. Everything went fine until the phone rebooted, after unlocking the phone gets stuck on 'phone is starting'. I CAN access the Set Up Menu, Uninstall apps, move some settings here and there, connect to Wifi/Bluetooth, receive calls, install apps using ADB. Also, theres a notification all the time that reads 'Phone restarted Unlock your phone to get app notifications', I'm assuming that the phone thinks it is not unlocked and that's why it doesn't fully boot up.
Some things that I've already tried:
Intalling another Launcher (Pixel Launcher)
Reinstalling the firmware (ver G975USQU6IVC7) / Trying with different CSC with no results
Wiping Cache in Recovery Mode
Deleting/Adding Fingerprints
Changing from Lock Pattern to NIP to Password
I don't really want to do the full wipe, I would like to keep my data or be able to export the photos (Device not Recognized by Smart Switch also)
Is there anything else I can do?, has anyone been through the same issue?
Is your phone rooted?

No, it's not rooted
Hi !
@DannOsnaya have you found a solution to the phone problem other than restoring to factory settings?
I have the same problem at the moment, almost identical to what you experienced.
If anyone has some advice on how to fix this problem, please share your advice.

Any way to factory reset. I tried every possible way following YouTube but nothing works. It's just stuck. I've a backup of my data so not worried.
No, I still have the same issue.
Have you tried to install a launcher?

Nothing works. Now decided to show it to anyone. I guess the mobile shops have an option to erase everything. I don't understand how did it happen because it's usually with my toddler, he might have done something.

I followed a video and wiped out. Finally successful. I wasn't worried about data as Google has a backup.
I followed this method and finally it's factory reset.
