Looking for links to download the Polish N9005 5.0 ROM - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
Last night I flashed the early leaked rom of the N9005 but the phone seems to have a few little quirks that I suspect may be due to the ROM not being ready for release at the time it was leaked (perhaps).
I tried to download from sammymobile but the download keeps stopping and won't complete, I also have tried downloading from 2 other sources but one says the download has exceeded the bandwidth limit and the other I'm downloading now started at around 40kbps and now is hovering at about 5kbps.
If anyone can link to a reliable download of the ROM it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks.

Thanks but I already tried from there yesterday and the download was very slow and kept stopping and wouldn't resume, also the site is currently down for upgrades.
However I did find some good downloads for the Polish ROM in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/general/finally-official-5-0-firmware-galaxy-t3029557
Currently using the direct link and getting about 200kbps, thats about the same as I get on Mega but usually Mega slows to a crawl at the end taking much more time.
I'll leave this thread up incase it helps others looking for the same info I had trouble finding.

Did you try this? better than the original one they put out? I'm wondering why it's the same version number. Seems like a good way to confuse people.
Supposedly there were issues with downloading the originial release, so they had to correct that. But, the version they put up is the same one as before.
I've got all 3 "versions" of the new ROM now (leaked, first official issue, and this new one now too) and they're all the same.
Confusing? Yes. Big deal? Not really
so basically this isn't going to fix any issues? you downloaded it and it's the same everything? Why would they bother?

Well yes it's the same as the first release of the 2.13 ROM if that's what you mean. I think they just put it back up because there's people who didn't get it before they had to pull it temporarily for the downloading issues. I assume it'll stay available there from now on.

I used the First release and still have it on my computer at home. I downloaded the leaked version and it was a godsend. I hear when they made it official on the 18th it caused people a lot of problem even bricking. according to the link they where having server issues and that is why they had to pull the official release but I guessed they fixed the issues now. It is the same ROM version as the one I have so your guess is as good as mine. I think sirphunkee has them all downloaded but has not implemented them and is still running 2.10xxx

Correct, and I should have made that clear...still on 2.10, haven't flashed any of the upgrade downloads.
Somewhere in one of the threads in this section about the upgrade, the leaked version and the first "official" releases were compared and found to match bit-for-bit. Also, T-Mobile forums had confirmation that the recent re-release is identical to the one they put up before the download issues. So, by the commutative property of Windows Mobile Mathematics (WMM), they're all the same
However, that's not to say that the end experience from those who have flashed any of the three doesn't vary greatly. Some report a near-magical cleansing of demons, others are suddenly needing an exorcism...and this is across all three "releases" of this ROM.

I forget where I read...but a lot of people where having issue when the flashed to a custom rom then flashed to the upgraded tmobile rom with out returning their phones back to stock. I guess that was a major issue. Or people had to factory reset then run the upgrade I didn't do either of those things when I flashed and it worked great. I mean I didnt have CHT or Editor on but I did have a bunch of apps.
I bought my HD2 last week and the rom it came with from the factory is 2.13.531.1. I have had the phone freeze on me 2 or 3 times in the week I have owned it. Even though the rom that was just released is the same version would it still be a good idea to flash it? I am coming from a G1 and on occasion have flashed a rom and the phone ran like crap. Then upon re flashing the same exact rom the phone ran like normal.
I upgraded last evening, despite my initial trepidation.
Everything seems smooth now--a lot of the hiccups when texting seem to be gone (out of order texts, highlighting of last text sent and lag when trying to write a text that is part of a longer thread).
Swype is working a 100x better.
So far, so good.

That happens with winmo as well as android....after flashing a ROM, sometimes either a re-flash, or an immediate hard-reset is needed to get it to "stick". In fact, most chefs recommend doing a hard-reset right after a new flash, just to be safe, and I've seen numberous times where a buggy install is fixed perfectly just by doing that. So, if you're fine with the effort involved, I would certainly suggest it...it certainly can't hurt
Cool. Thanks for the info sirphunkee.
Software Upgrade or ROM
I downloaded the update from T-Mobile and have it running on my HD2. Was this an update to my ROM, so a hard reset will reload this update? I talked with a T-Mobile rep on the phone who said a hard reset would remove the update and I would have to re-install it.

Good thing you asked here to be sure
No, a hard-reset will only "reload" whatever the currently flashed ROM is...whether it's an official update or a custom ROM.

weeping and gnashing of teeth to upgrade for dj30 to ea24

Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this but I figured I'd post this experience I had trying to upgrade the firmware on my Sprint Galaxy tab so that other might benefit.
Here goes; I got a brand new galaxy tab with the dj30 firmware on it. I rooted it and did the wifi supplicants trip to get adhoc networks going. Nothing too strange. Then the system tried to auto updated itself to ea24 which I let it. But after I checked it it seems that the upgrade couldn't get through. This process would repeat itself on a regular basis.
I didn't think much about it until I heard that netflix could be played on certain android devices and I of course wanted to play it on my tab. I side loaded it, changed the system props and saw that it still couldn't play. My first attempt to load a custom rom(the ginger for gsm failed, yes I know they're incompatible)which bricked the phone. What then followed was an orgy of flashing anything vaguely related to the tab to get it to at least power on. The only thing that would work was the dj30 base image.
Now I'm back to square one except that my navigation system no longer works so I flash modem.bin from ea24 which fixed the gps. My tab tried to auto update itself to ea24 like it usually tries to do but this time SUCCESS!. Then two more ota updates came after that and worked just as well.
I think flashing the modem might have been what got the upgrade process going.
Sorry if this is a little long I just figured it might be useful to anyone in the same situation.
Can you Pls point me in the direction to get thus modem? I too am having this problem. [email protected]. Pls email it to me if you have. THANKS

Hey Cruton. Seems you and I are in the same position. I'm also stuck on DJ30. Managed to upgrade to rooted gingerbread, but market and browser fc no matter what I try. Your suggestion is something I haven't tried yet. Could you elaborate a bit more? I tried flashing modem.bin (from the EA24 updater) but it freezes up. Do I load it under "phone" in odin? Also, which version were you using?
Cruton. Thank you so much for going through the effort of posting your experience. You have saved my tab. I didn't know what to do anymore. Your trick worked, received all updates OTA and then I received gingerbread OTA. Everything stable and running after two weeks of trying absolutely everything (as I was in EXACTLY the same position as you, so you know how frustrating it is). I wish I could buy you a beer man. Thanks again.

I haven't had trouble with the market or the browser. I believe it was version 1.7 of Odin and I put modem.bin into the Phone section. Interestingly I had to repeat this entire process when the gingerbread update was out. I had to try 3 times with flashing modem.bin because it kept freezing up but it went through eventually. Good luck.

Unrooting

Ok first off i know how to unroot i was just wondering if anyone could give me a site where i can download the stock rom faster than on the stock rom website, it is super slow and takes around two hours on my internet, which is not slow. I think there is a download speed limit on the site.
Device: Sprint GS4.

[Boost Mobile SPH-L720T] A couple questions about returning to the Stock Rom

I recently flashed Cyanogenmod 13 to my phone using the jfltespr version, The data didn't work but after flashing the Boost APN fix from XDA, Everything went smoothly for the longest time. Until now. The carrier constantly flip-flops between Sprint (The data works but texting doesnt) and Boost (Data doesnt work but texting and calling do). I decided to just revert to stock, but I cant find any reliable sources to download from! This "SamMobile" site everyone has been telling me to download from only hosts files on sites that throttle the download speeds, Its been around 6 hours and the 1.5 GB Rom i'm trying to download is like only a quarter finished!
Here are some links to Odin-flashable .tar firmware files I've found. Pretty sure there are a bunch more floating around.

Laf-restore.zip file

Hi everyone, working on H918 looking for working link to a file laf_restore.zip , all the links seem to be gone, anyone ?
Finally found it here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WkR-6--OpOaRw-W5Wt9BzljIBVvG_kMF/view
Very handy if you want to return to stock from lineage , for whatever reason
@demasta123 i am looking to go back to stock from lineageos (17.1) actually. Am curious what steps you'll be following.
I just restored my download mode with laf-restore and I can get into download mode now, but LGUP isn't recognizing my device (it's an H918) to flash stock 10P back on it again. Surely because it has LOS 17.1 on it..
Am finding some docs out there about using LG Flash utility with a megalock dll but the link isn't there anymore etc.
Not really WANTING to go back to stock H918 V20 ROM rooted, but this will get us VoLTE capabillities on Tmob while we search for what new phones we can live with.
Thanks for any advice. would be willing to work with you on a doc/guide for this I'm sure it would be useful to others in our same predicament.
