Hi. Can someone tell me how to connect note 3 like usb mass storage. I need ums to recover some data from phone. Is it posible without root?

Doesn't exist on stock Android since 4.3 (I think that or 4.4). Even with root, it still isn't there anymore.

Is there any mothod, applications or apps to make this possible?
I tried many usage to resolve it(apps - toggle ums enable or disable. Sgs3(samsung galaxy s3) easy ums), but failed..
Any helpes will thanks.
sadly... no...
I think this problem is not on ICS, but on GT6800.
Galaxy S3 use also ICS and Some Apps support it to handle UMS.
I really wish somebody develope any Apps which handle UMS on GT6800.

USB mass storage on E455

Somebody knows how to enable UMS on this phone? It is not present on Android 4.1.2 and SGS3 Easy UMS does not work. It could not find an SD card, whether I mounted it or unmounted. I have a root access.
it's my probloem,too
USB Mass Storage is disabled in 4.1.* for original Android, and I guess LG developers might not want to make change to add it back. There are some workaround but would you mind trying ROMs other than Jellybean?
P.S. I can't post external link yet, do Google with keyword "android 4.1 usb mass storage" and you'll se.

[Q] Special CUSTOM ROM..I cant find !!!

I need custom ROM with these features:
- BASED ON ORIGINAL TOUCHWIZ from Samsung (I need original drivers because I use SCREEN MIRRORING, DLNA etc. so CYANOGENMOD not working)
- with implement ROOT access
- system shoul be able read NTFS or exFAT file system on SD CARD ( I need to save large file more than 4GB)
- I need to save for example via atorrent aplication directly to SD CARD so I need permission for writing to external card ( because from KITKAT 4.4.2 it is not possible)
- when I plug in usb to pc I want to have option: USB storage mode for SD card ( i know USB mass storage enabler but not working on my root device with instaled BUSYBOX so I need implement solution in system)
is on this world this type of ROM for GALAXY S4 I9505 (android 4.4.2 or newer ) or Do I want so much???
I dont need no more than this features of ROM because google makes life harder with every change of system
pls and thanks

is there working usb mass storage option ???
USB mass storage option is missing in all Samsung android smartphones running android 4.0 ICS or later. In these smartphones we have only one option and that is MTP. MTP stands for Media Transfer Protocol and works similarly like USB mass storage but it can't compete with it because the data migration speed is very slow.
But there is an other trick by which you can enable USB mass storage mode on Samsung galaxy S4 by using an app called SG USB Mass Storage Enabler. This app is specially designed for Samsung galaxy series to enable their mass storage mode.
So no later versions have it, but you can always go with a fast sd card.

I9506 - 4.4.2 - USB Mass Storage

Hi everyone.
I have a Galaxy S4, I9506, rooted with a Android 4.4.2.
I have to take lots of pictures with my phone, and I want to download them to my computer.
With Galaxy S2, it was easy, because I have enabled USB Mass Storage from the phone and it worked fine, with USB speed.
But right now it connects like Media Device, and copying the pictures it takes up to 15-20 minutes. With USB Mass storage it took up to only 1-2 minutes. (at a 500mb pictures).
I have rooted my phone, I have checked if it is rooted.
I have installed USB Mass Storage Enabler and BusyBox Free.
And still it connects as Media Device.
Any ideeas what should I do to download pictures to PC fast (just as copying from a USB stick)?
Thank you
If you are rooted, install TWRP to replace the stock recovery. In its mount menu is an option to disable MTP, but only while the recovery is active. The method you already tried above is the only way to bypass this otherwise, according to a bunch of people all over the Internet.
