Hello guys, i have this 2012 Nexus 7 wifi 16gb and updated it to lollipop. I really don't like the performance so i went back to stock 4.4.4 but i can't stop the damn lollipop system update notification. I found on the forum some solutions with DisableService and Startup manager but i can't find those services in kitkat (maybe google changed something). So any ideeas how i could get rid of the System Update Notifications in 4.4.4 ? (my device is rooted),
Found it, they moved the update service to google play services so this will have to be disabled again everytime they update the play services...that's that i guess

Hi,
while waiting for the Nexus 7 KitKat 4.4 OTA i found out that my Nexus 7 is still running JWR66V (rooted).
There has been a minor Update to JWR66Y, but my device never informed me about this. When I am checking the systems updates there is "nor update available".
I had installed FOTAkill.apk half a year ago, but i did remove it from /systems/app
Any idea how to get OTA back online again ?!
Hi,
I got Android 5.0 system OTA notification on my Nexus 4 at 1am, but I didn't update it because I wanted to have a steady 3G network and once I reached office in the morning ,I observed that the Update notification vanished.
After performing "Check For Updates" from settings ,I am getting the message that my phone is up-to date.
This happened to me for 2 consecutive days.
I have Kitkat version running on my Nexus 4 (Not Rooted)
Any pointers will be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Girish
same here!
Now when check for updates, it shows the firmware is latest. No more lollipop!
Hi
I have an issue with my Google nexus 4 phone and i was wondering if anyone can help me to solve it.
Its a great phone and its been working great with anything i want it to work. This issue became aware to me after the system update from 4.4.4 to 5.0.0 and now i have the 5.0.1 .
I have managed to connect my nexus to the Samsung gear fit device and it was working for me but after the system update it stopped. Actually the gear fit manager apk does not start on the new system 5.0.0 or 5.0.1, it gives me the ( unfortunately the application has stopped working ) think.
I was wandering if any of you found any way around it to get it to work.
Regards and thanks for any help you have been providing us.
George.
Hi,
I have a Nexus 7 ME370T (Wi-Fi Model). I'm currently on 4.4.4 but if I check for updates the message is "System is Updated". No 5.0/5.0.1/5.0.2. OS is original and was never rooted. How can I get OTA updates (don't want to flash from factory images).
Thanks in advance
Stefano
I would stick with Kitkat for the time being until Google works out all the issues
wait!!

The Android 5.0 update for the Nexus 7 had loads of performance issues. So they stopped rolling it out.
Based on what I hear from the forums, Kitkat > Lolipop for N7.
Hi, recently I've upgraded my Galaxy S5 from Lollipop 5.0 to Marshmallow 6.0,1 manually with Odin. Luckily I succeed installing it after a few errors. Now the only problem I'm facing is that my phone keep asking me to update google play service and I've tried in Playstore but no update found and moreover I installed the latest version of PLAY SERVICES.apk but I still receive the same update message.
Can anyone of you recommend me a most appropriate version of Google Play Services version to be installed ?
