Snapdragon 600 Galaxy Note II showed up

Is Samsung developing a new Galaxy Note II variant for China with a Snapdragon 600 chipset underneath, instead of the company’s very own Exynos chip? A leaked AnTuTu benchmark for a GT-N7108D, running on a 1.9GHz processor and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, suggests that might be the case.
With a score of 26901 points, this new variant would be even faster than the Galaxy S4, which currently reigns supreme in possibly every benchmark test out there. This new variant of the Note II is apparently headed to China Mobile with support for their TD-LTE network, which explains why Samsung is suddenly working on a Snapdragon variant of the device (Qualcomm’s chips come with an integrated LTE modem, which offers better battery life and efficiency), almost a year after the original Note II was launched.
This Snapdragon-powered Galaxy Note II has also appeared at the FCC, with the filing confirming support for the Wi-Fi 802.11ac 5GHz standard, which is currently only supported on 2013 flagships like the Galaxy S4 and the HTC One (and is expected to be the next big thing when it comes to Wi-Fi speeds.) So, while it is possible the benchmark might be a fake, the fact that a newer Galaxy Note II variant is in the works is all but confirmed.
However, the question remains: why is Samsung working on a new variant of their second-generation phablet when its successor will be making its way to the market before the end of this year, with even better specs across the board? I guess we’ll have to wait for further info to get an answer to that, though we won’t be expecting to see this faster and more powerful Galaxy Note II launch outside China

Oh I just saw that there is already a topic about this. Sorry.

Help buying s5

Guys m planning to buy s5..
M using a xperia z1 which m bored now...
I am hearing about the **** strategy Samsung is using by supplying the exynos version...
Is it good??
If yes no issue. ..
But no then can some one please give me a site from where I can order the international version...
M a Indian user ....
@AndreiLux is saying the new Exynos is good and will not overheat(theoretically).
Also, the Exynos blows away the Snapdragon in Antutu, if that means anything to you.(Exynos: 36-39,000. Snapdragon: 35-37,000)
The Exynos version finally ships with HMP(8 cores can be active at the same time), which will give a better performance.
Also, it records 4K too so you don't lose that out. And the Exynos version also has Wolfson DAC, which is better than the one found on Snapdragon.
Only thing you are losing here is LTE. If 3G is good enough for you, the Exynos is a great option.
India is selling exynos version of S5.
It is SM-G900H.

[Q] SM-N910F vs SM-N910C vs SM-N910U

Trying to understand the difference between the SM-N910F vs SM-N910C vs SM-N910U.
The 910C and 910U are Exynos. But what about the 910F?
The 910F is the one Samsung lists on their UK store, which I get redirected to even though I am in South America. But it isn't clear if it's Snapdragon or Exynos and I haven't found an official Samsung page that confirms the LTE frequency bands.
I have n910F from Ireland it is the same as in UK so snapdragon

Is Samsung lying in South America?
They are selling SM-N910C which is Exynos and they are also saying it charges faster when we all know it's a Qualcomm feature....
Does Exynos provide fast charging too?
Can someone clarify this?

It is not a Qualcomm feature as they want all to think. Exynos model also has this feature.
910C
Hello guys
I am in the UK and looking into replacing my Note 3 with the Octa core version of the note 4.
Do you guys have any experience with both the 910F and the 910C versions so you can give me some advice? Is the Octa Core version alot faster than the quad core? camera sensor quality differences?
I always root my devices but i am not intending to run any custom rom on the Note 4 as i was always happy with the stock Samsung ROMs. In terms of region lock, does the 910C come region locked to a certain part of the world or will it work here in the UK straight out of the box? I am also intending to use other international simcards so presumably if i root it and run "regionlock away" it should be able to remove region restrictions???
So far i only found a few units of the 910C versions sold on eBay. Do you know any other online shops that sell it here in the UK?
Many thanks in advance!
SM-N910C working in the UK??!

I have the same question! I have ordered the Exynos version of the Note 4 recently and I'm starting to think it won't work on the 4G LTE here in the UK but I want to know if it will work at all
All these questions are answered in the general section of the note 4 forum. I used to hate it when people would reply angrily to questions by telling the people asking the questions to search in a rude manner, but I can understand why they do it lol. I'm not telling you to search in a rude manner though lol but omg, the same questions are asked over and over.
The only eynos version that'll work on every UK 4g network is the N910C version. The snapdragon n910f is good but the exynos is better, better with overall snappiness, in games, and better sound quality too, I've had both versions
N910U is exynos cat6 while N910C is cat4. The U and C versions are somewhat international exynos. There's also korean only exynos versions, they end with the letters S, K and L, all these 3 versions are cat6 too.
Then there's a 3g only version n910H, Samsung couldn't have made this note 4 release any more confusing if they tried, cause there are even more versions out there! Hope you enjoy your notes
Get the 'f' Version. There's more development support for Snapdragon. Virtually all North Americans have the SD version as well as the world. Try sourcing your Note 4 from Handtec, not that I endorse them.

A quick warning, the IR blaster has issues on the 910C, something about the drivers.. it's supposed to be fixed on Lollipop.

The IR blaster on the 910C works intermittently, meaning sometimes it works fine for a few minutes then stops. There are several reports of this in the IR threads.
Is there any direct compassion of 910C vs 910F regarding camera quality? i know its same sensor, but i wonder does the 5433 has the same ISP abilities.

Which note 4 ?

Hi,
I am looking to buy a note 4 but I am finding it a bit confusing to choose as I see different ones out there.
I have a note 3 now and it's the international model and I would very much like to buy the note 4 international model.
Am I correct in assuming that the N910F is the international model ?
N910F International Snapdragon
N910C International Exynos
Both 4G capable

Getting the 7 Edge

Hello guys i just ordered the 7 edge from amazon, i'm in europe so i guess i'll be getting the exynos version, i was wondering, are the roms the same for both SD and Exynos? or are there roms that only work in sd or exynos? I tried to search but seems that both are 935F instead of my S5 (900f for Snapdragon and 900h for exynos).
One more question, will my warranty be voided if i unlock bootloader? I read a lot of stuff that amazon won't care and that they don't even check it.
And finally, i'm pretty excited, i come from a OnePlus 3, while i liked it for it's fluidity and speed, i had some troubles with it's screen and i need a solid phone since i'm going to a cold country (s7 is nice for the water proof and humidity), i got it for 570€ new, so i guess it was a good deal (32gb version ofc)
Thanks
Hi,
Yes there are different ROMs for different processors, some ROMs may support both Exynos and Snapdragon, however don't take that for granted. I'm not following S7/E development, but back in S4 days the Snapdragon version had more ROMs than the Exynos version.
The 935F model number is the international Exynos S7 Edge, AFAIK the unlocked S7 Edge with Snapdragon variant has 935U as model number.
All the best,
~Lord
