Auto call recording on Lollipop yet? - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is auto call recording available on Lollipop yet?

Anyone even working of auto call recording for lollipop?

What's Auto Call Recording? Is that a specific app or you mean any app with the capability to record calls automatically? If it's the latter then Call Recorder by Svalex is working as usual on Lollipop. Can't say about other apps as I don't use them.

Some KitKat ROMs have auto call recording cooked into the ROM. It's not an app as such, is just activated by default.
I think Dr Ketan (an XDA user) has something to do with it.

Oh I understand. Sorry I can't say that, never relied on built in recorders.

dr keetans recird wirks on lollipop well it is on mine anyway?

[Q] Call-Recorder in Defy?

Hello everybody,
Does Defy has auto call-recorder just like Moto XT701? If not, does there has any third party app can do that?
Doesn't seem like it. As far as apps im sure there are but i've never needed one so not sure.
Sent from my DEFY using XDA app
I suppose you can only record calls using the microphone+speakerphone on Defy, correct?
P.S. The XT701 has call recording? Sure?
2.2 roms have built in recorder
xt701 or defy?
just a voice recorder or 2-way call recording?
2.2 defy has 2 way call recording integrated in the firmware, it also sports built in firewall.
Really? Which 2.2 ROM are you rocking with?
You can do it with Google Voice, it’s really easy, just press 4 and it will start recording the conversation. You’ll find the conversation in your Voice control panel within a few minutes and you can send the recording to the other party easily from the control panel.
Guys, call recorder in Chinese 2.2 ROM is playing a recording sound...
I mean the person you are talking with (and you also) hear some beeps.
Is there any way to disable this?

Understandable as a compromise of having the function while not being too creepy.
If you want to get creepy you can always use speakerphone+microphone.

As for me, that annoying sound is creepy, not me )
it Got to be some direct call recorder out there for defy without beeps and without speakerphone, anyone?

can it be extracted as a .apk?
can a cook or someone with the 2.2 rom find a way to extract the call recorder app so it can be installed on any Defy?
It seems to me that only works with blur:
We need 2 way call recorder; NOW!

so your saying the chinese 2.2 rom works with 2-way recording but only with blur apps and services installed?
thanks.
Yes, and blur sucks and its slow, thats why all rom moders release deblurred roms
This may not be possible with any rom any than the Chinese 2.2. I saw many Chinese users requesting call recording in other rom eventually went back to the Chinese 2.2 rom.
The best app for call recording is Ultimate Voice Recorder For Android and it's working on Defy.

i haven't tried kitkat because there are way too many glitches and i'm really happy with 4.3.
but some developers of the apps that can record calls are putting notes that samsung has disabled 2way phone call in kitkat.. so i think answer is no.
stick to 4.3

No the sound output from the recording is just white noise. It seems to work but the recording isn't anywhere near clear
Which recorder apps are you using to record? Normally there is audio source to choose, need to select audio call instead of mic.

This thread is on about the built in call recorder; not a separate app.

In order to use build in recorder, need to root and enable in Xpose module. I am still unroot with stock ROM, I think third party apps also get the audio from the same source. So the unknown is whether the audio source unavailable or the build in recorder not functioning. Don't mind try to install third party apps such as "automatic call recorder", choose Voice Call as audio source to try out?

Automatic Call Recording

Is this possible on a Verizon ROM? I've tried doing it with wanam xposed and also editing the CSC. No dice. It does work on ported international ROMs.
you can use this automatic call recorder- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appstar.callrecorder&hl=en. It's great and you can set up a list of callers to not record, set to ask you to accept or reject recordings after a call, etc. The problem with the wanam call recorder is it records every call. the roms that have call recording built in force you to activate the feature for every call which means you can forget to record something important.
There is builtin automatic call recording for non-verizon ROMs (easy mod), but I've tried that app and it's good. I guess I should just use it.

Call recording on Android 9

Have you managed to solve someone's call recording on Android 9?
Try call recorder by SKVALEX. Find it in Google play store. Works flawlessly on mine. I'm using Qualcomm snapdragon model. Cheers!

I use a model that has exynos. I'm sure to try this application, thank you!
If not, just change your CSC to the THL and you will get a native call recording feature

No THL or other foreign SIM card needed to do this?

So I understand that it is enough to buy Thai SIM, put it on the phone and it unlocks the call recording function?

Before I reverted back to Oreo, I tried this app. Along with the current state of ACR, the SKVALEX app also suffers from the exact same problem. It's not directly recording the other end, only using the phone's speaker to listen. So the voice on the other end is at a very low volume. Even when boosting the decibels in the app settings, it's not as clear and loud as when either apps were working whilst on Oreo. This also means that phone numbers still can't be recorded by either app. As stated by pop up messages inside both apps.
This may be fine for some but I don't think Pie and One UI is worth losing FIRM call recording capabilities. Along with other features we've come to rely on on Oreo.
Just my two cents on it.

don't be angry I am still bothering. I'm thinking about it. I'll put a Thai SIM on my phone. Thailand SIM unlocks call recording. if I return Czech SIM to my phone, the recording function will be locked again or not?
Cube ACR
I'm on unlocked stock and wouldn't want to do anything to risk Samsung Pay functionality, so still stick with Oreo?
how to revert back to oreo? Will I lose all my current data?? thanks for your guidance
Call recording in Android 9 (Samsung Galaxy S8)
No call recording app can record bothway voice calls on Android 9 unless the phone maker dialer provides inbuilt recording feature for a particular region. I have tried many on my Galaxy S8 but found no luck. Call recording is an important feature which is essential for millions. Google should open the relevant API so that the app makers can bring back call recording. BTW, Cube ACR couldn't do bothway call recording on my S8. The best call recorder was NLL's ACR for Android 8. It doesn't work for Android 9 though NLL published an unchained version. This unchained version also can't record bothway calls.

I have downgraded my galaxy s8 to Oreo from Pie to enable call recording. Now ACR (by nll) works fine like before. I am not going to upgrade to Pie again if google or Samsung doesn't open call recording API. Call recording is necessary for me like millions.

Call recorder by SKVALEX most certainly doesn't work on Android 9. I also have the Qualcomm model of the Galaxy Note 9.

SKVALEX worked on my note 9 up to the last Android v8.1.0 Oreo release, once it hit Android v9.0 pie it stopped, all call recorders did. Android removed call recording capability with pie. Sux, I hope someone finds a workaround for it because it was really handy, didn't need to write crap down when getting info or directions from someone.
How do I revert my Samsung Note 8 back to Oreo to get back recording feature?

Call recording?

Hi all
Having received my S10+ I realise my call recording app is not supported?!
I understand there is native call recording built in but it is disabled in the UK for whatever reason.
How can I activate it or better still, any 3rd party apps that work on pie for call recording?
This ^^
Want to know the same... If there's any way to enable native call recording.
I know there is a way to modify the cscfeature.xml file and enable it, however you need root for that.
Does anyone know if there's a non-root way to modify csc files?
try cube ACR it works for me no problem.

Can confirm this. The thread is here

Black box app is now working again!!!!!!(for now)
I don't own S10 + yet ... Waiting to buy it, if it could record calls ... necessary for my work.
Can anyone please try the Thailand SIM card trick?
This enables the native registration of calls on S8 ... S9 ... and Note also ... as reported on related threads here on XDA.
