green. like everything else.

I see your point, but I quite like that it has a different colour, because the other two buttons start a call (hence green) but this one deletes digits. It's just a matter of personal preference.

Is this normal for Amoled?

I'm getting this blob on either side of the edge screens. Just wondering if that is normal.
Blob? Screenshots aren't going to show any screen defects. They simply capture what is being rendered on the device (which doesn't change; even if the display is broken).

Haha, well I wouldn't worry then. It could be something as simple as a driver error, which could be patched in an OTA.

I actually quite like the blue. But tbh, I disabled the lights on mine.

I've disabled them too. They made sense as I had backlit symbols there telling me what the keys do. But I don't need lights for two dots that give me no information.

The blue is really pretty imo, but I understand if others aren't a fan. Maybe people could get color changing tape? XD

I believe the symbols have been done away with to accomodate the button order swap feature.

That's it. There was no way to swap the functions of the keys on my previous phone. I could just turn it on or off. It was useful when you had a blackout and had to look which button does what ^^
Anyway, it was more a nice to have than a must have feature. I probably wouldn't use the back lighting as it sometimes even was brighter than the phone screen.
Or just annoying while watching videos or something.

I'd have preferred it if the backlight was always on when the screen is on, but not a big deal if it's off. I liked the backlights of my Nexus S, they weren't too bright.

That would be pretty awesome. Maybe next year they could give them a brightness control and color control.. my umi super had a home button that strobed and changed colours.. It was beautiful to look at. It doubled as a notification LED..

led

more of a request,
can the bottom capacitive buttons be lit up when notification comes? or like the nokia n8 breathing light?

my bad, onLed is for Amoled display only. You can try kingroot, and let us know if you are able to root it.
It works but just keeps screen on slightly

It could be possible once we got root permission.

Finally we get dark mode for pixel dialer!

Here you can see
That looks really cool!
How did you get it? Version no.?
Nvm... Got it from apkmirror... v26
Thanks for sharing!
Just installed it... very cool.
Thanks for the heads up, also if you were trying to hide a real number for home, I would recommend remove the photo.
I can still make out the numbers in the screenshot.

Google didn't miss the point, the idea was to give the user an option, in their apps, of a DARK skin, not black!
Dark gray is a fine option.

Given they stated power savings as one of their reasons for doing it, yes they did, black saves power on an oled and dark grey makes an oled look like an LCD.

Totall agree... Black skins are awful and looks old, like andoid 4 ones. Google should have all their apps in dark mode, I don't understand why they are launching them one on one...

True...
Grey means those pixels are 'ON' and thus are consuming power.
So what's the point?

I don't know. Not being blinded by all the white and instead being greeted by a more aesthetically pleasing and easy on the eyes grey, I guess. Black would be so Android Gingerbread, so 2010.
It's enabled on mine but I don't have the option to switch it back off. Any ideas?

Disable Dark theme in your settings of the phone. When dark theme is enabled, the apps automatically default to dark mode.
Ah! The good old days of of Gingerbread and Jellybeans!
