Did a quick search but didn't see this anywhere. It's pretty obvious and would work on other phones but will post it anyway.
Just picked up the phone today, rooted it with PurpleDrake and deleted some stuff with TiBU. Deleted too much and phone stopped working.
1) Download and install Mobile Support Tool from LG site. http://www.lg.com/uk/support-mobile/lg-D722
2) Install drivers, either from the same page or from within the tool itself.
3) Turn phone off. I had to do a battery pull.
4) Open LG Mobile Support Tool.
5) Put phone in download mode: hold Vol+ and plug in USB. Follow instructions on phone (I think it said press Vol+ again).
6) LG Mobile support tool recognises phone. Follow instructions to install software.
Hopefully this helps, hope you find the answer if not.

Try to revert your phone to stock.. flash through kdz. I think it would work
how do i do this?
how do i do this?
my drivers can't recognize the divise
OK do this..
1st: Download kdz updater tool. Here
2nd: Download official Stock firmware. Here You can choose any of the following or if you already download one just use it.
3rd. Turn off your phone. Use this combination. Press Power button + vol up + vol down at the same time. You will be directed to EMERGENCY MODE. (This time your phone will be detected by kdz updater tool).
4th: Now use kdz updater tool. Use this settings, TYPE should be 3GQCT/Phone modeIAG. Now choose the kdz file that you have downloaded then press "Launch software update:.
Your done.

i forgot to mention you must install LG united drivers first. And make sure you follow the step 3. When your phone boots it must be in emergency mode, your screen turns to yellow with a Emergency mode notice.

Sry but I think he should go 3GQCT/Phone modeI: EMERGENCY because DIAG is for when you don't want to delete anything and just update software.
Folks,
I went through hell the other day trying to find how to repair my Verizon VZ 980. It was rooted and had a TWRP recovery. I was trying to reboot the Exposed Installer, which then would not reboot (as the software warns can happen), in fact the phone would not boot at all, even for a total factory reset from the keys on the back of the phone. Even though there are a few threads on this site which one can use to work the tot or kdz methods to bring a bricked phone back to life, in actuality, I found that, for some reason, I couldn't get the zips containing the firmware or the flash tool to download. It is clearly important to use the appropriate operating system along with the Lg-flash tool-2014. **They exist else ware on Google. Of course the Lg Mobile drivers have to be loaded and the Lg mobile support tool has to be accessible. Preferably have all of these in one folder on the pc desktop. My suggestion is to Google the following: VS98024A_11.kdz (the correct firmware and will download unzipped-you cannot change the suffix on the tot to kdz if you download the tot), the LG+Flash+tool+2014 and finally the LGMobile Support tool. The Flash Tool is self explanatory, similar to Samsung's Odin. and allows you to look up the firmware you have, finds it, and loads it to the appropriate box when you click on the folder icon and locate the downloaded items on the pc. The Flash Tool will only recognize the kdz firmware and is labeled in Korean, but ignore as the firmware will boot English. Turn the phone off completely, and put in download mode, by holding the vol. down and connecting to LG usb cable, Click on cse flash on the Flash Tool for a total redo of the phone. Just keep OKing or starting what ever pops up thereafter. This works, with great relief, but follow the process slowly along and never disconnect the usb plug until all has loaded and you see the message to exit the program.
Hello,
I want upgrade my LG G2 with a new rom 5.xX
This phone have only the operator update. No custom, no trwp, nothing...
I installed drivers and when i want access to download mode. I can't. I use the good proccess with vol up then plug usb cable always with vol up presses.
follow this procces after a little moment my phone show me battery logo charging.
So i can't access to download mode.
I would use this process
t was NOT bricked. I finally tried playing around with the LG Mobile Support Tool (B2CAppSetup.exe). Of course it detected that my phone already had the latest firmware from T-Mobile, but then I clicked Options>Upgrade Recovery.
It downloaded for a while then I noticed it had put my phone into download mode (it said "Rooted" in red letters at the bottom). Then it flashed the same firmware over and I immediately tested, it entered download mode right away. But I didn't end up needing that as Stumproot was able to brute force it now after the recovery flash.
Anyway, I couldn't find an answer anywhere else. Most results also have a bricked phone, but that wasn't my issue. This solved my problem and maybe it could work for others.
but it's impossible for me to install B2appsetup on my pc the installation begin then stop after 5s then nothing.
I have Win 10.
Do you have a solution for me , please??

I recently rooted my LG G2 (D801). I tried to flash a rom using the new twrp 3.0.0(blastagator) f2fs feature. long story short I followed the guide, only bootloops into recovery. next I plugged my phone into my pc to use the srk tool and reinstall the original image files via qhsusb bulk option. during the flash my phones screen goes blank leading me to have no power or response from it whatsoever.
I also just found this thread that would've helpd before I tried to use the SRK tool again, in the thread I was having all these symptoms. http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/help/noob-friendly-recovery-download-mode-t3112805the only response I get from plugging into my pc now is an unknown usb device in my "device manager" menu.
Is there any way I can get my phone working again??
Hello, I just this same issue.
I used SRKTool's (option 5) to unbrick my phone and finally it's working
I have spent the last day trying to root my Verizon LG G2 and have had no progress. Every utility I try seems to fail or freeze before finishing. Upon further investigation I found the the recovery that the Verizon G2 has doesn't have the option to flash the phone. In fact the only option it has is to factory reset the phone. I have also tried forcing the G2 to boot into recovery using adb reboot recovery. When I did this the phone rebooted to a black screen with an error message no command found. So I can't manual root it by flashing it. I have tried both versions of LG One Click Root but once the terminal or gui reached Looking for LG Serial Port nothing happens. It doesn't ask me to manual reboot into download mode or anything. From what I have been able to find, it would seem the Verizon G2 impossible to root.
Does anyone have any other methods or idea? This isn't my primary phone so if I screw it up is not a big deal (though I would prefer not to). I was also kinda curious if it is possible to flash a new recovery through download mode? As this seems like the only way I can alter the phone system.
Any help is appreciated.
why do you think is the cheapest version of LG G2 you can find? cant seem to root mine neither.

Rooting LG G2 running Android 5.0.2 with LG One Click Root –Requires – USB drivers installed and Windows PC
1. Download and install ‘LG United Mobile Drivers’ on your Windows system.
2. Download ‘LG One Click Root’ file and extract it. Then install it.
3. ‘Enable USB Debugging‘ on your phone. To do so, go to Settings > General > About phone > Software information, tap Build number seven times and then go to Settings > Developer options and turn on USB debugging.
4. Connect the phone to computer via USB cable. (Select USB mode as MTP, NOT INSTALLER MODE, MTP only or it wont recognize it)
To confirm your device is connected over ADB interface, open ‘Device manager’ and it should show your phone as an Android device.
5. Run LG One Click Root tool and select ‘Start‘.
When it says ‘Waiting for device…’, get back to phone home screen and select OK for ‘Allow USB debugging?’
The phone will reboot at 45% and after rebooting when it says ‘Looking for LG serial port’, go to home screen again and select OK to Allow USB debugging.
6. The device will now reboot into ‘Download mode‘ (Firmware Update)
If the tool gets stuck at 90% on computer (0% on firmware update screen on phone) just restart the phone by long pressing power key while it’s connected to the computer, otherwise your device may get bricked. It should then show 100% and Done! . If not, repeat from step 5.
7. After it ends the process and the phone status bar goes to 100%, it reboots, let it load some seconds and now you should have Super user permissions now, you can see the app in the box too.
