Stamina mode is really good, isn't it? - Xperia Z1 General

Stamina mode - Is it really good or necessary for you? Because when I activate Stamina mode on my Z1, there will be issue: App running background such as email, viber etc does not function as usual. IE: it does not predicablly check my mail box, viber does not receive call nor messages.

Mine work like normal with stamina mode enabled as long as my screen is on.
It is the way stamina mode works: disables data connection, wifi gps etc (does not force close any app) when the phone goes to sleep and then enables them when you wake up the phone.

You can add apps to work on background while using STAMINA MODE

but internet is still disabled while stamina is active so push emails etc wont get through

Try changing network modes and download internet settings for mobile data.
Hey, did you activate low battery mode? It can disable some functions including WiFi and mobile data.

How many mails do you have for last 4 days. As per default settings, Gmail fetches last 4 days email only.
Usage also depends on attachment downloads.

it was the usual 10-15 but I had auto sync OFF, so it should not use data in the background and none of my mails had any such attachment
Also, I have been using the same setting for the past 1 week, but this just happened out of nowhere
Are u sure auto sync was off. Clearly Gmail app has downloaded an attachment which was big for you, but idk if it did it even though u set auto sync off cause that ain't possible.
Did it happen again or it was a one time event ? maybe a toogle problem..... Out of ideas
Send from my Galaxy S with Slim ICS 3.9 + Semaphore 1.2.2
Nope, didn't happen again, what I did after the heavy use was to uninstall gmail and install it again from play store, its working well so far
And yes, i am not using auto sync as my data pack is really small, i never really turned it on

[Q] can someone explain to me about battery info?

Hi guys, I never really understood the meaning of those hours when i click on my battery status. On the pic shown, it says: 1H 10m 29s on battery. Can someone explain to me what that means? It seems very low to me, and i just got my phone 2 days ago. It is the octa-core version i9500.
I also see that media takes up most of the battery, and I dont know what that is.
Plz explain?

It just means your phone is for 1H10M29S unplugged from the power plug :fingers-crossed:
If you click on media you can see which apps are contained in media and stressing your battery.
having wifi on, and using my phone for normal usage and its allready 77% in just 1 hour... I hope the battery does improve as what some people say if you have a new device.
In 3 hours i have a loss of 7% while using Whatsapp and Instagram, 3G is activated.
Did you activate auto. Sync (Google, Facebook, Dropbox, Samsung stuff), Gestures, AirView and so on permanently? If so, please switch them off, this will help for a longer battery runtime (only if you dont need them all the time).
How a about the display brightness? automatic oder manual setting?
#offtopic What is that font & needed to root to change it?
#ontopic The time will not reset after you plug it in for a short time.

I think you should go to settings --> Application Manager --> Google App and clear the data of this application then trying it again.
have to disable s voice then reboot.
I uninstall updates n if didnt work. If i restart my phone it allows me to change the settings but then it grays out, and reverts back to off.
N i have factory reset my phone twice since lollipop update

Thanks, it looks like disabling s voice in the application manager has done the trick, but i am not able to get okay google to work when my screen is off, and it works half assed when phone is locked. If i say okay google at the lock screen i get the search beep but the screen goes black, and i have to hit the power button again. Pretty dumb.

Need to replace JuiceDefender

I already have Greenify to keep apps under control.
Running CM12.1 on Lollipop. Juicedefender's mobile data feature is totally broken. I loved having that as it A) kept my data usage low, and B) really did a superb job on battery saving.
Is there any other app that controls the radios automatically? That is what I really need!
Thanks!

DS (Deep Sleep) Battery Saver worked for me in the past... I just leave data off 90% of the time anymore as I'm usually connected to WiFi.

Thanks, I'll look into that. I thought about manually controlling the LTE, but I know I would forget to turn it back on. Which would be bad since I mostly use web apps for messaging lol.

[APP][6.0+] Dorch - Dual Torch for devices with both Front and Back flash

Dorch - Dual TorchIts been a while that some newer devices devices now have both Front and Back flash for capturing photos so there but be an app for toggling both of them as torch.
Background:
I recently bought Moto Z Play that had both front and back flashlight but i couldn't find an App that can toggles both of them at same time in store (or maybe I am bad at searching), so I developed one.
Its just a clean simple app that serves the purpose of flashlight toggling and nothing else.
Screenshots:
Note:
I have found that the app is not working same for every device. Some devices are allowing only one flashlight to turn on at a time. I will update the app with fix as soon as I found a workaround. Till then, you can use app for separately turning on each flashlight if its not allowing both for your device.
Download:
Hi. I just installed this, it does not work on my z2 play from verizon. when one torch is on, the other won't turn on even if the button is toggled on. You can't turn both torches on.

I will look into it and update it with the fix as soon as possible.
Thanks for reporting the issue.
Can you make it so that we can set the two torch as a notification so we don't have to click on the app? Can easily switch by opening the notification panel? Thanks!
