Does my Android Phone has Virus ?? - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This is the second time (after factory resets) it has happened in short span of time that i have been getting constant popups while browsing through websites on google chrome on my galaxy s5. Can somebody help me on this please?
On the third screenshot i am getting this popupuireciever suddenly since today . Is this related to anything?

The link to your last image prompts to install software. My guess is that you dont have a virus, but you have installed an app thats causing the popups. Search in the forums for how to detect/disable/remove rogue popups
If it aint broke, you haven't modded it enough

Google Earth - Hows yours?

Noticed that Google Earth had recently come available on the marketplace for the Desire.
I have it installed but am unable to use it properly as my desire seems to randomly reboot whilst using it.
1st time I fired it up I zoomed in one level to find only a black screen and then it rebooted.
2nd time I tried I managed to zoom in to my location and then it just rebooted with no black screen this time.
I updated to the OTA update that HTC pushed out the same day so was wondering if anyone else is experiencing similar issues or whether my update has gone sour and should hard-reset.
Also (very weirdly), while I was downloading Google Earth my phone was on charge and downloading over GPRS and the device become very hot. The device actually rebooted whilst doing this as well and got stuck on the HTC boot screen after vibrating at me 4 or 5 times. This happened twice so I unplugged the power and seemed fime after that.
So what am I looking at here? Google Earth problem? OTA update has partially broken my phone? Faulty charger/faulty device?
Phone was running absolutely fine up until that OTA update and Google Earth install......
UPDATE: Ok it seems my phone is rebooting whilst on charge as well no matter what im running, seems to get extremely hot. Looks like my issues could be a dodgy OTA update. Anyone experienced the Google Earth issues i've stated though?
i cant find the Google earth on my market place.. I'm in vietnam now..how can i install this app?

no problems here, i've the official ota update no costum rom installed.
Thanks......
Working fine here. I had it installed before the OTA update and everything is working nice and smooth.
Google Earth appeared in my market only 2 days after the update. I downloaded and it seems to be working fine, no issues. I have an unlocked unrooted Desire
Just installed earth on my updated unbranded unmoded desire and it works fine, I believe others have the same charging issue as you though.

Couldn't install the SDK6 version on my HTC Desire. It started installing but broke at the end, and left 92 images of icons in my photo gallery.
I'm having problems as well. The official link to mobile installation doesn't work, and I cannot find it on market either. Very annoying!
The .apk linked above does not seem to install either. Any other ideas, anyone?
installed it on stock rom no problem, used ut for a couple of days and deleted it, taking up to much space !
UPDATE:
I uninstalled Google maps updates because I thought it might be a very similar program and therefore interfering with Earth installation - and it worked!

[Q] S5 crashes

Good morning android experts
I have recently bought my s5 model Sm-G900F)
The phone has an issue which it randomly crashes and auto restart it was happening alot but after I searched many forums what i did to the phone was trying hard format, installing latest firmwares (i did that alot) i even installed CM11 for the phone and it still did keep crashing randomly and auto restart but after the firmwares it was fewer it crashes about 10 times a day now which is something really bothering me especially when you buy a last model phone and it is still new and does that you get frustrated i know have installed back the latest firmware of samsung back because CM didnt stop the issue plus that on CM there is no use of the finger print scanner and i tried uninstalling and disabling the bloatware apps
And an another issue is that there are many applications which when they start the instantly crash the phone like trix (card game by mayslawrd) and hitman go (the game)
Please i need some help because i am really frasturated and i am starting losing hope that it is a software issue on the bright side i am waiting for the lolipop update maybe the device will stop crashing
Please i need some help i am really getting hopeless.

[Problem] Virus or a huge lollipop bug?

Hi,
My father and I have nexus 4s, I've flashed mine with lollipop from an official image because I couldn't wait for OTA and father got the OTA.
My phone has never really run better while his has recently gotten some huge bug or a virus. The phone can't connect to play services, it can't install apps even from unknown sources, it cannot connect to a PC for data or camera
storage. And the weirdest thing is the fact that after a reboot all notifications and apps in overview stay, so in the overview is filled with like 100+ apps.
The whole thing seems locked down which is really weird, with a lot of experience with ROMs, android, bugs and bricking devices I've never seen anything like this, yet this phone has never been rooted or messed with.
I've managed to backup photos to dropbox because it was installed before the bug and now I've done a factory reset and will be keeping you up on the story.
Any similar situations?
EDIT 1:
It did boot on a 2nd try after like 15min, thats kinda lot of time to build up dalvik istn't it?

Auto restarting issues

Hi All,
My phone recently automatically restarted at least once a day with unknown reason. I also received bug reports as the attachment. I am not sure whether these bug reports are related to the auto restarting issue but please take a look at that and it may help narrow down the issue.
I actually contacted Motorola technical support but what they recommended me was to start the device in safe mode (without any 3rd party applications) and verify issues but I don't want to do that because after that how I can know which applications have caused the problems.
I am writing this thread so that someone from this forum who can look into the bug reports and tell me what to do next instead of using the phone in safe mode.
Mines did it twice recently. One time it froze while watching a youtube video and then once right then watching a video on facebook. Both times after the phone was unresponsive, the video was still playing but I still put it to sleep and the whole screen sto responding the restarted it self.
Im rooted with the latest TruePureXMM 2.8.2 and Frankenclark 0.10 kernel. All my natural nonroot required apps are install. I wonder whats going on.

S8 slow and unresponsive

Hey guys,
I don't have this phone, but asking for a coworker. His s8 suddenly just started becoming very slow and unresponsive this morning. He said the only thing he did was try to change his wallpaper and a Samsung wallpaper (or something similar, don't have the actual name of the app but it seems to be baked in by Samsung) app showed up in his app drawer. Just wondering if anyone else experienced something like this and had a solution other than wiping it.
Some more info, he just got an update but hasn't installed it yet. Not sure if this is getting Oreo already or if it's just the September security patch. I checked battery stats and it doesn't seem like there is a rogue app causing it to slow down, but I couldn't find ram usage for the life of me on the phone since I'm not familiar with Samsung's skin. Also tried restarting and letting it fully power off, waiting a few mins and then booting back up.
My guess it's samsung being samsung (the reason I don't buy them anymore but for all I know they don't break after an extended period of time anymore), but I've never seen a phone deteriorate that fast.
Any help is appreciated.
Edit: it's not rooted and the Verizon variant if that makes a difference
