After upgrading my Verizon S5 to Lollipop, i am seeing bluetooth issues. With KK, I was able to use bluetooth to control my phone from my Car radio.
Volume, fwd, reverse tracks and MP3 info was all shown on my car radio screen. With LP i only hear the audio. None of the controls work.
Anyone know of a fix ?
BT Regression
I am experiencing the same issue with my Verizon Samsung S5 and the BT connection to my Kenwood receiver. The phone will pair, but with this update to LP, I have lost the ability to control the music from the steering wheel or controls on the Kenwood deck.
no one else?
No other members have expended this issue?
Even mp3 tags are not sent to the Bluetooth radio.

When I start my car the bluetooth connects to the stereo for phone audio but it won't remember my setting to connect to media audio. I have to manually go into the settings every time and check the media audio button. I am using a rooted stock rom and have an i9500 and I also had the problem before rooting. I know it isn't my stereo because my previous phone (Galaxy Nexus) worked just fine. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be done to fix this other than Samsung putting out a fix for it?
So I just got a Galaxy S5. In my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee I have a Pioneer MVH-X360BT. Before I got the S5 I had an S4. Zero issues. Now with the S5, whenever I am listening to music (via Google Play Music) in my car with the Bluetooth, my steering wheel volume/station control buttons become reversed or don't at all. I tried listening to music with the Samsung media player with no issues... Great but I don't want to use any other radio service or media player app.
Anyone have any ideas or experience a similar issue? Thanks.
Ive used google music in my car via Bluetooth with no problem. Phone connects instantly when i start the car, no skipping or anything... Volume on my steering wheel works perfectly both for volume and skipping tracks...

Just uninstalled the updates for Google Play Music and that seems to have fixed the issue. :/ Hmmmmmm
Ugh!
Scratch that. Downgrading the app version didn't help. Turns out what triggers the mix up of my steering wheel buttons is any manipulation of the phone while using the bluetooth. If I don't touch the phone its fine. Contacted Pioneer about the issue. It'll probably be 6 months before I hear back from them... Help? D:
Need a little help, I bought a unit but it's locked the Bluetooth to the phone and music streaming so I can't pair it to my OBD bluetooth dongle.
Other issue are the crap built in eq for sound control for the Audi bose system. Ran poweramp to get better music control and the eq in that sorted my music quality issue but it plays music at a low volume so when you switch to radio all he'll goes on due to the massive difference in volume levels.
so any help or suggestions would be great
I believe that PowerAmp has its own volume and balance controls that are independent from the unit's "generic" controls. What I recomend you do is set the unit's EQ to flat and use the PowerAmp to set the EQ the way you want. For the volume it would be the other way around; leave PowereAmp at max volume and use the system's volume to control it.
As for the bluetooth issue, how do you know it's "locked" for phone and music? It may say that on when you pait your phone, but that's only because that's what your phone supports but it doesn't mean you can't pair an OBDII device. In fact, I have that same hting on my phone but I'm still able to pair with my OBDII at the same time.
Are you using a custom ROM or are you still stock? I believe some people have had problems with some OBDII devices which are corrected with an Xposed module (I never had any problems so I don't have much more info).

I am curious what unit you purchased. I purchased an Audiosources unit for my A3 and after the initial test fit, I have no sound. I unhooked the unit and ran some wiring and now no sound from the radio, stored music, streaming, Bluetooth or even video. Everything powers up and seems to work though. I have not tried to pair a second device yet so I cannot help with that issue. When the sound did work, I did have the low rear volume issue that you appear to of had as well. Thanks.
When I hooked mine up as I have full Bose there was zero sound, I had to use a hi/lo converter which did the trick. The low sound I nailed down to the crap built in eq as I downloaded a great app that overrides it for everything bar the radio for some reason (app viper4android). My unit is going back due to a faulty volume knob, I will be ordering a different unit from some other supplier.
Thanks for the info. I have Bose as well. Can I ask what year and model your Audi is and the brand of the unit you returned and the new one you are considering?
Hi,
I recently got my LG G6. I'm really satisfied with it. Especially the camera and the performance , but I have a problem with my hands-free equipment in my car .
Everytime I want to use the phone as audio source e.g. Spotify I would have to un-pair and pair the devices again .
I have a Volkswagen Passat 2014 with a RNS 315 and original hands-free equipment.
I can pair the devices without any problem. Also the "connected with audio equipment" option will be displayed on the phone. After a few seconds this option disappears in the overview of the connection details, only "use hands-free" and "sync phone book" will be displayed on the phone. Only in the overview of paired devices I can see that it is connected to the car as audio source. I can use the steering wheel buttons to switch between the tracks and the current title displays on the car radio.
The problem:
After the phone disconnects form the car (remove the key) and it reconnects gain (starting the car again) the phone do not recognize the A2DP protocol anymore and it just connects as hands-free without the ability to play music over the car speakers. I can use the steering wheel controls to switch the music title and the car also displays the current title, but the audio comes from the phone and not from the car speakers. But the car displays the phone as hands-free and audio source.
I had no problem with my Nexus 5X. I have already tried to clear the bluetooth cache and data. I have already tried with an other LG G6 and there was the same problem.
Is there any way to enforce A2DP even if the phone do not recognize it anymore?
The phone software is V11g-EUR-XX with security patch level 6th November 2017.
I hope anyone can help me, because I don't want to send it back.
Same issue here. I have to unpair and pair again if I want media playback to the car. I have tried pretty much every solution I came across and nothing worked apart from pairing again. Having said that, I think the problem is both with the RNS315 and the G6. I had a similar issue with the Note 3 but disconnecting and reconnecting was enough so I was using trigger to get around it. I have a small hope the oreo update may fix it.
Seicane s09206 Bluetooth Issue in Phone Calls & Connected BT Devices Not Displayed
Hi there!
I purchased this Android 8 radio from Seicane for my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee:
***seicane.com/seicane-s09206-android-gps-radio-car-stereo-for-2002-2007-chrysler-300-m-300c-300-limited-touring-with-dvd-player-gps-navigation-system-mirror-link-touch-screen-rearview-camera-tv-video-wifi-canbus-obd2-bluetooth-usb-sd-steering-wheel-control
It is using MCU: ZHAN_(NOR)__90_C9RD6686_CAN(A)PX5D1808140
Which looks like this s200 platform: ***roadnav.com.cn/show_content.php?id=949
I am having the following issues:
1) I can not hear audio from my car speaker with Bluetooth calls but it will send audio through the microphone. I can hear streaming Bluetooth music from my car speakers fine. I believe this may be a result of a phone audio setting for the Bluetooth device however I can not see paired devices from the radio.
2) I can not see currently paired devices from the radio. I believe this feature is disabled. Is there a way to enable this? I am able to pair my iPhone by just going to my phone setting but the list of connected Bluetooth devices does not show on the android radio. I have tried installing third party bluetooth managers and they are also blocked from seeing the connected devices.
3) The EQ fader goes to zero volume when the speakers are all the way to the front, and all speakers have full volume when it's faded all the way to the rear. Balance left and right work perfectly. This may also be related to the Bluetooth issue as I head most BT phone calls just use the front speakers.
Thanks for your time!
Jayzo
