Hi guys,
Yes I have switched from an iphone fan to Android and this is my first Android phone It's strange how different brand phones using Android can have different buttons and methods to do the same operation? My friends using a Samsung and another using a Nexus has different buttons to kill processes.
I just worked out that holding down the left button to the home button gives you the kill processes button on my Xiaomi Note
However, can someone please share with me how I can do Print Screen on my device ?
Thanks

Hi I have had my now 4 (UK variant) for 2 months now and have mostly found it to be great. Recently I have suddenly started to notice since issues ranging from the screen not waking up when you press either the power or home button, or they software keyboard doesn't disappear making it impossible to enter my lock code.
What gives?
Anyone else have a similar problem, solutions etc pls?
Thanks
Scott
Hey,
I am currently on my 4th Galaxy Note 4 as the previous 3 have all had the same problem regarding the proximaty sensor, basically when I want to finish a phone call the display doesnt light up so I cannot access the onscreen button to end the call.
I have to press the power button for a few seconds in order for the display to come to life before pressing the hone button and phone button in order to hand up.
Its really a real paid and is clearly an issue with the device / rom .
My Note 4 is the UK snapdragon version 910F running the latest version of lollipop on an O2 specific rom.
Anyone have the same problems along with a vital solution?
Many Thanks
Scott
I'm working on a project and I need to know if it's possible to create a service that listen to the state of the screen turning on and off.
The idea is to create an action or event if the screen if turned on and off quickly several times by pressing the power button, IE: On, Off, On, Off = Action/Event is triggered.
The action/event is triggered only if the amount of times the screen is turned on and off is filled (2 times on and 2 times off as shown in previous example).
I've been looking for this but still haven't find a way to do it yet.
Thanks in advance, kind regards.
hi i have tried this and its possible to get it working by using screen on broadcast receiver. But you wont get the expected results. The reason for this is due to a slight delay in screen turn on nd off in most of the phones user can press the power multiple times before screen actually turns on.Turning off is little less buggy.

Well, I'm trying to implement a way to perform an action if the power button is pressed more than 3 times in a row... The main idea is, for example, press the button 3 or 4 times and the phone executes the desired action.
I'm sure there is a way to do this but I haven't found it so I focused on the "screen on - screen off" alternative.
Hi everyone,
I'm an old Android user (HTC One V, Samsung S3 and S4), whom just switch back from using iOS on a iPhone 5S for about 3y.
Basically i'm back at square one
I just bought a Nexus 6P and i'm really loving it, some things I have to admit are in my opinion worst then with iOS.
But the freedom Android brings is such a joy and comfort. I'm also still getting used to the size of the phone.
Is there a way, to disable the low press to turn off the phone when screen is turn off. Like when it's in my pocket?
Thank you in advance.
Cheers

I assume you mean long press. I don't know of a way to do that without root access. Even if you do decide to root your phone and disable it somehow, I personally would not recommend it. If for some reason your phone becomes stuck and unresponsive that long press is your way out to reboot the phone and hopefully get it back to working order.

I Agree that the power button takes very little force to push. I use a hard rubber case which fixes that issue
GravityBox - you can tell it to ignore the power button when the proximity sensor is kn
It happened to me a lot when the phone was new, after a while the button is softer and i won't happen any more or at least barely.
Hello folks,
I was happily using the app called back button by eztools on the Samsung Galaxy S7. But in OP5 the apps back button on screen vanishes in 10 seconds after it is started. I've given the app accessibility and drawing over apps access. Any ideas what could be the issue?
Attached is a screen shot how the button looks like onscreen. Trust me it's a very handy button to have middle of the screen. Cheers. Btw just enjoying my OP5, I call it as best executive phone with solid battery. Cheers.
