I hope most of us are familiar with Google cardboard project.
If not...

I searched a lot for specifically Moto G 2014 compatibility with cardboard. There is very little specific information available, and some sites pointed out partial compatibility for Moto G. That's all.
So, I thought to start dedicated thread on this topic.
I am not expert but just starting this thread to share experiences, Tips, Q&A etc. :fingers-crossed:
I'll start with my experience.
I ordered kit from amazon.
http://www.amazon.in/3D-Unofficial-...d=1423286903&sr=8-2&keywords=google+cardboard
I didn't see any issue with kit received.
So far tried google cardboard app, google map street view, Roller coaster VR etc and been fun.
I have found following issues with Moto G.
# Most of the Cardboard VR kit have magnet location on side. This is not working with our device. Somehow, I found correct magnet location near power button may be little back side. Yet to make magnet fix at this location and get it working.
# Don't have NFC support, but thinking who wants it also?
# Gyro always shaking. This has been talked many times and still issue.
# While playing Roller coaster, screen was stopping/hanging. May be RAM not sufficient?
But in nutshell, it is nice to experiment with.

Thanks.
In that case, we can revive that thread to share all experiences and close this one.

I read that it would available for the Nexus, and I'm pretty sure I read it on the google home page for the nexus last week when I ordered.
Did I misread?
its available for download from the android market. just search for google earth.
I don't see it in the market...confused.
I don't see it in the market, strange.
He's messing with you. Not available yet.
You guys haven't downloaded it yet? Wish it had multi-touch though..
Well, I see how some of these "Senior Members" get their posts up, by posting BS.
Thanks for the info that it is NOT available yet.

Yup.
The one shown in the press conference was just a demo.
Should be coming along soon if you believe them.
(Posting the obvious)
Google Maps is equipped with satellite imagery, to hold you over until it's released.. they're essentially pretty similar.
Google Earth is in it's testing/beta phases still within Google, DogFood as they like to call it. It hasn't been released to the general public yet.
This thread is to create a presence for the R-watch M26 and other R-watch versions, to solicit/encourage development of related software, and post related comments.
Has anyone been working on this? I find it hard to believe, for example, that no one has innovated ways to improve their software/visual interface, or at least create some new watch faces?
The manufacturer has just two items on the Google Play Store. At least make grammatically correct, ENGLISH-ONLY versions (without Chinese lettering). Other language translations could be added more easily from the English.
How about making Android wear, Windows, Sony or Apple watch apps compatible with it?
What's on YOUR wish list?
The watch sells like crazy, I can't believe there's nothing else out there.
I Emailed them over two months ago, but so far, no response. BTW, I was polite. <wink>
Comments? Feedback? An APP I missed that's already out there?
Oh, and welcome to this thread.

There are several posts here on the M26. You can probably find do a lot of what you're interested in here. Just search for M26.

New Zenfone 2 Model spotted: X551ML
More info on International Business Times
IBT is nothing but a spam clickbait rag with terrible labor relations, a spotty reputation and something vaguely resembling the corpse of "journalism".
I did a Google search for that model number and Zenfone together and only got sites sourcing IBT or copying their print wholesale.
If it is a new model, it seems to be India specific variant.
Please let's make a conscientious choice as a community to not give IBT traffic and page hits or click on every rumor article.

Hello there! Well, then sorry for my post. The funny part is that I usually spot inaccurate (with missing solid references) media articles, but outside the tech world. Related to tech, I think that the only clickbait websites I came across, may have been some related to tutorials.
My guess is that the X model is actually either ZX550ML (the upcoming Zenfone Zoom - which I guess will run on the same ZF2 firmware, as I already see some files related to Zoom in the system) or a different version of Zenfone Zoom like maybe "ZX551ML"
I had a chance to try the LG G5 at its launch Event in India. After Spending some Time, I was more confused than i was Amused by the fact that it was a Modular Smartphone.
ARA isn't around and we don't know when it will be. But Is LG G5 a true concept of Modularity ? Or is it just a Hybrid-ish Phone with a few tricks up its sleeve ?
Check Out My Video : Mod Edit by @Darth : Link removed for promoting selling sites. Not on XDA thanks!
Do Tell me what you think about It and if this is going to be a Legacy or if it's gonna be Seen as a Failure !
I think what LG made isn't really modularity.. You don't really change the phone's parts but a add stuff to there phone..I wouldn't call it modularity. With that in mind, I didn't get the G5 for the modular part.. couldn't care less really.. I got it for the camera. I mean, that's the reason I chose the G5 over the S7 Edge. It didn't disappoint. Regarding project ARA.. I think it's supposed to come out next year.
Promoting selling sites with links here or on your YouTube pages, breaks rules 7 and 11 of XDA's rules.

Hey folks,
Long time user (and prior to that, long time lurker) on these forums - but today, I'm posting with a random, unusual request.
I'm trying to find Android fans in Los Angeles who may be available to help me with a little TV filming this coming Monday (26th June).
Long story short - my day job is as a TV reporter in Los Angeles.. I work for a global news channel called CGTN America (we broadcast out of Washington DC, Beijing and Nairobi to around about 1.2 billion homes worldwide.. including in the US on cable and satellite, though most of our viewers tend to come internationally)..
Since I'm a huge tech-head, I'm filming a story to go out later this week on ten years of the iPhone. But I want to make it different. What often happens with these stories is some networks get reporters who know nothing about technology to do them, and you end up with something that is just saying 'the iPhone is the most amazing device ever invented.'
Regardless of what side of the fence you sit on, it is an amazing device. And it did have a revolutionary impact. But there is so much to the story other than that.
One of the angles I really want to explore is the battle between iOS and Android. The way that the iPhone almost set the lines for a war. You see it on forums like this and XDA and Apple-related forums - people trying to outdo each other.. and people getting really irate as they nail their colors to the mast of their OS of choice.
I wondered if there may be some Android fans in the LA area who I could meet up with on Monday, if we can arrange a convenient time and we film a little sequence (details of which, I'm still to work out in my head) but talking about the iOS vs Android wars. This may be just Android users or it may an Android user and an iPhone user both debating what's best about their relevant OS.
It's still a germ of an idea. But I wanted to throw it out there and hope it gets seen over the weekend.
I'm gonna post this over on Android Central as well to try to maximize the number of people who see it and also on the General Android Chat Forum here. The reason for the double post is that in my experience, the real ire is often between Samsung and Apple fans (reflecting the companies, almost) and so there may be people in that board that this really appeals to..
Anyway, please do reply to me on here, or via DM, or via twitter @phillavelle.
Thanks for looking and have a great day!
Phil
Hi Phil,
I’d be happy to offer some of my time to you forthis endeavor. I’ve lurked on these forums since long before iOS or Android even existed. If you are indeed serious about this I can provide you with my full name which you can then quickly google to see my credentials.
I can play either side of the discussion as I have been a mobile technology consultant for about two decades and have owned (and still own and use both iOS and Android) devices from all major manufacturers.
